An auberge located on a hill overlooking the townscape that inherits the history and culture of Uchiko, a town that flourished with washi paper and Japanese candles. You can enjoy ingredients from Uchiko and Ehime Prefecture with all five senses, through innovative cooking methods, accompanied by the flickering of flames and the crackling sound of firewood.

Nestled at the foot of Mt. Hiei beside the clear waters of the Takano River, Yase is a tranquil corner of Kyoto.This area is known as Japan’s oldest steam-bathing site, where it is said that Prince Oama—wounded by an arrow during the Jinshin War—was healed in a kiln bath offered by local villagers. Named moksa, a Sanskrit word meaning “liberation,” our property features three fully private saunas, “Joan,” available by Reservation only, with cold baths filled with spring water from Mt. Hiei; the restaurant “MALA,” where Ohara vegetables and Omi beef are finished over a wood fire; and the lounge “Kikyorai,” overlooking a moss garden. "Shirogane no Mori" is an "agricultural auberge" created by Yoshihiro Matsuoka, the founder of Kokko Farm (poultry farming), who personally carved out a mountain the size of the Tokyo Dome. It combines a Property, restaurant, Onsen, and farm. All guest Rooms are detached suites, featuring luxurious queen-sized beds. Each Room is also equipped with a private Onsen with natural hot spring water. Maruto Soy Sauce, Nara Prefecture’s oldest soy sauce brewery, has been reborn as a stayable soy sauce brewery.Founded in 1689, Maruto Soy Sauce was once purveyor to the Imperial Household—so esteemed that members of the Imperial Family even stayed here. After the war, however, the brewery was forced to close when it could no longer secure satisfactory ingredients. At Okawaso, a new onsen facility has been established where you can immerse yourself in warmth to your heart's content. The terraced rice field-style open-air bath 'Shikibutai Tanada' offers a sense of unity with the beauty of the valley. Spacious indoor baths. Two saunas, the 'Gorone-style Bakuhanseki Sauna' and the 'Pink Salt Sauna,' with far-infrared effects to relieve fatigue from deep within the body, have also opened simultaneously.
