Relax and unwind while taking in the ever-changing rural scenery below, beautiful in every season.

In October 2007, a new Property, "Shiratama no Yu Kaho Bekkan Koshinoyato," opened in Tsukioka Onsen, a place cherished as the "Onsen of Beauty." This Property offers all-suite accommodations, combining the functionality and privacy of a Hotel with the heartfelt hospitality of a traditional Japanese Ryokan, focusing on ultimate comfort. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding rice fields and distant mountains. Upon its opening, we have been dedicated to reviving the spirit of "Echigo no Sato" by creating a space that harmonizes with the local ecosystem. This includes constructing ponds and planting vegetation that supports the area's unique biodiversity. Our goal is to create a place where both the mind and body can find true relaxation, embodying the essence of living in an Onsen town.

A private retreat with 15 guest rooms. An adults-only hidden Accommodation, each room featuring a free-flowing Onsen bath.

Nestled among majestic mountains and valleys, Jozankei is a place where the turning of the seasons feels especially vivid. Not only through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, but also in their subtle transitions, we encounter countless surprises and discoveries—sometimes finding little treasures that shine—and we ourselves are often left in awe.For example:The moment you see yellow and orange spring foliage against the lingering snow on distant Mt. Tengu,The moment a warm sun shines while an occasional north wind rustles the trees,The moment the moon seen from Futami Suspension Bridge glows round and golden like an egg yolk,The moment chestnut burrs in the courtyard shift from green to brown and plump into shape,The moment you wake to a window filled with snow-covered mountains. To delicately capture these beautiful scenes found within the changing seasons—and to invite our guests to see, taste, listen, and feel them—we have introduced our own original 24 seasonal periods. We would be delighted if you could take home today’s one-of-twenty-four colors as a memory of your journey.*Our property is exclusively for guests aged 13 and over.*

They also visited the renowned autumn foliage spot "Kiyomizu-dera," which later became a foreigner-exclusive hotel called "Kiyomizu Hotel." The lush green grounds of "Arima Sanso Goshobessho" still retain the sacred atmosphere of that time. Goshobessho was established by Shirobei Kanai XV, the current head of "Tosen Goshobo," Arima Onsen's oldest accommodation. All 10 suite rooms at Goshobessho are detached and feature private onsen baths and low-temperature saunas known as "Thermal Rooms."
