This Accommodation is packed with the best of a traditional Ryokan, and our whole family was delighted. We were amazed by how spacious the bath was, and the grandkids were excited about the jungle-like atmosphere. It was cherry blossom season, and everything was spectacular—flower mats, petals floating on the water, hazy blossom skies, swirling petal showers, even a “path of blossoms”! The kids were also surprised by the waterwheel. Thank you for a wonderful time we will always remember.

I almost don’t want to share this, but I can see how hard everyone at the Hotel is working… Relax on the lovely terrace (it’s cool, and the breeze feels wonderful. Free drinks are a nice bonus, too). This was our first family trip to Shimoda, and everyone agreed the Hotel was beyond reproach—we liked it so much that we returned earlier than we usually do on trips.
