Our kids were thrilled with the summer-vacation-only pool and fireworks, and since the beach is so close to the Accommodation, it was easy to go back and forth between the pool and the sea. Because they had such a great time, they said they definitely want to come again next year

If possible, I would have preferred an easy-to-move-in separate outfit such as a samue instead of a yukata—so that is the only reason I rated it 4 stars.

We stayed at Kasuikyo on our first trip to Fukui for my wife’s birthday. I was surprised to be warmly welcomed when we arrived by car. At check-in and during our meal, the proprietress even gave us a surprise gift, and we were truly grateful. The food was also excellent. The Room was very clean, and we stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. The view was wonderful as well. All of the staff were kind, and we would love to stay again.

We visited with our children. It was an extremely hot day during summer vacation. Since we arrived early, we had lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed soft-serve ice cream at Usanchu Cafe. The restaurant’s limited “Takehara Fish Rice” (only 10 servings per day) was also delicious. The staff member who explained how to eat it was very pleasant, which left a great impression. To be honest, we didn’t have high expectations for the breakfast and dinner buffets because it’s island food, but everything was very tasty. The sea firefly observation event from 8:00 PM and the morning walk were meaningful experiences that helped us learn about Okunoshima’s history. The former principal’s talk also seemed fun for the kids. Touring the island on the C Walk was another enjoyable experience for our children. I would highly recommend this Hotel to families with kids and to rabbit lovers.
