I chose an accommodation where we could relax in a private space for a gathering with old friends. The kitchen was equipped with cooking utensils and tableware, allowing us to enjoy making and sharing sukiyaki together. Outside the window, there was a beautiful snowy landscape, and the time spent enjoying warm meals was truly wonderful. At night, the clear air revealed a breathtaking starry sky when we stepped outside. Spending time with old friends in peaceful nature offered a special experience that is hard to find in the city. The room was spacious and very comfortable, making it perfect for a multiple night stay to fully unwind. SANU seems to have multiple locations, so I would love to visit again!

This was my first visit. About a 20-minute taxi ride from Kibune, after passing through a peaceful satoyama countryside, you’ll find this culinary Ryokan by the Sanzen-in temple gate. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with attentive service and treated us to shiso juice. The Room faced the garden and was a calming Japanese-style space. They said they bring Onsen water from Sanzen-in, and I was able to relax and unwind in the open-air bath. The lounge area was well stocked with drinks and ice cream, which was great. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM, but since we had a late lunch, they kindly let us delay it by 30 minutes, which really helped. The dishes were beautifully presented, and everything was delicious. The appetizer featuring an Aoi Matsuri festival float decoration included Chinese lantern plant (hozuki), which made me feel the season. The pike conger (hamo) and sweetfish (ayu) were also beautifully plated and very tasty. Everyone at the Ryokan was truly kind, and their courteous service made me very happy. The Shuttle Service by bus was also extremely helpful. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

We stayed as a family of four, including a couple and two children. The staff were very courteous and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We appreciated them preparing fishing bait for us and cooking the fish we caught. Each dish was incredibly delicious, though dinner portions seemed slightly small for the men in our group. Next time, we would love to stay for two nights during the pool season.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the New Year with exceptional cuisine crafted by the chef, excellent management, and warm hospitality from the staff. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy two days of creative dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from Munakata. The pumpkin potage was truly remarkable. We look forward to visiting again to experience another unforgettable moment.

I used this place for the first time because I was attracted by the open-air bath. I was able to enjoy a large open-air bath where I could stretch out my arms and relax. (I entered it more than 10 times.) In addition to water, two drinks were prepared in the refrigerator, and I enjoyed COEDO beer in the open-air bath. The garden at night was also lit up and very beautiful. It is really just a few minutes from Kawagoe City Station, and there are convenience stores and places to eat nearby. I think it's a perfect location for those visiting Kawagoe. I would like to go back soon to relax again. Thank you very much.

This was my first visit, and I used Kura! The location and scenery of Awaji Island were both amazing, making for a fulfilling trip. The aroma experience and sauna were available, providing relaxation. Breakfast was delicious, and I was completely satisfied. The night view was beautiful, with a sky full of stars to enjoy! Surrounded by nature, I even saw beetles and wild boars. For those who are not fond of insects, please take note of the natural environment!

During this stay, I also tried the optional “Earth Sauna,” and it exceeded all expectations. The gentle heat felt like being wrapped in soil—soft on the skin, yet warming you thoroughly from the core. It was clearly different from a typical sauna, with a deep warmth that lingered long after. During the outdoor cool-down, I felt at one with the quiet natural air and experienced such complete relaxation that I couldn’t think of anything else. And then there was the tea sauna. With each löyly, the refined aroma of Asamiya tea filled the space, soothing with every breath. The heat was mild, and the balance of fragrance and humidity was perfect—it felt relaxing even to the mind. There is also a Shigaraki ware gallery inside, and being able to purchase pieces is another highlight. It wasn’t just about saunas—it was a stay where you can truly experience Shigaraki culture. Being able to enjoy two completely different sauna experiences within the same Facility is pure luxury. This wasn’t just about sweating—it was an “experience sauna.” I will definitely be back again.

We stayed with a family of five and two dogs. The Accommodation was spotless, filled with the scent of hinoki and other woods, and equipped with the latest appliances and very comfortable bedding—everything was excellent. In the garden, not only our dogs but also the kids enjoyed playing catch; it was clean as well. The nearby river had beautifully clear water, and for the first time in years we spent a long time enjoying it together with our children. Breakfast was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. We will definitely come again.

Our family of five stayed here and enjoyed the spaciousness of having the entire property to ourselves. There were two sets of bunk beds, designed like a secret hideout, which made our children very happy. The owner was kind and friendly, making us want to stay here again in the future.

Despite our late arrival, the couple welcomed us with warm smiles. They kindly kept me company even though I eat slowly, and when I mentioned that I wouldn’t have much time the next morning, they prepared breakfast as early as possible. It was also adorable to see their 94-year-old grandfather pointing into the refrigerator to check and choose the ingredients.

Overall, I was quite satisfied. However, I was surprised that the Room did not have a key and there were no lockers in the bathroom for valuables, but it wasn't much of an issue since the staff could keep them for me upon request. I also tried shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) for the first time, and it was great—especially the sesame tofu. I would like to stay again during an event such as the light-up season of Hagurosan Five-Story Pagoda.

We stayed for one night and two days as a family, and we also had two dogs with us. The dogs stayed by the entrance the whole time, but since we could see them when we opened the sliding doors to the Japanese-style room or living room, we felt reassured and were able to relax. We were able to use the BBQ facilities without any issues and had a wonderful time. It was very convenient to pass ingredients in and out through the kitchen window. The washer and dryer allowed us to wash and dry our laundry on the same day, which was extremely helpful. The owner also told us about a fireworks festival, so we were able to watch it at night—it was beautiful, and there were food stalls too, which made it even more enjoyable. We were also deeply touched that we received handmade coasters from the owner for free. Our daughter and son purchased handmade book covers as well, and we will cherish them. There were six of us plus two dogs staying together, and it became a truly wonderful memory for our family.

This was a wonderful entire home rental with the calm atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house and the warmth of natural wood. The private sauna was properly hot and even allowed self-service löyly, and the flow from the cold plunge to the jacuzzi and outdoor air-bath area was excellent—I lost track of time enjoying set after set. In the evening, we relaxed while having a BBQ and gathering around the fire pit, making it the perfect place to refresh away from the city noise. Highly recommended for group trips or family getaways, as well as special occasions. It was such a lovely Accommodation that I’d definitely like to visit again.

At the end of the year, we enjoyed the seafood of Hokuriku, such as crab and cold yellowtail, and had a good New Year's Eve. On New Year's Day, we also enjoyed traditional osechi, and were able to feel the tradition through the excellent arrangements and wonderful utensils. We truly enjoyed the Japanese New Year. We would love to visit again during this season.

I visited with my mother and aunt as a group of three. We initially chose this Accommodation for its location, but it turned out to be the perfect choice in every way. It is located right in the middle of Yunotsubo Kaido, and we were also happy that we could walk to Lake Kinrin. The meals were delicious and exceeded our expectations. We were able to dine in a private room, so we could relax without worrying about others. There are several private Onsen baths, and it was fun choosing which one to use. The hospitality was excellent—the staff kindly explained everything from our Room and the baths to each dish in detail—making this a truly satisfying trip. This is an Accommodation I already want to stay at again, and I would love to return if I have the chance.

A stylish architect-designed Hotel in Naka-Karuizawa. As it is a wooden building, you should not expect strong soundproofing, but it may actually be a good fit for those who want to feel close to nature. It was disappointing that Buildings 1, 2, and 3 are on separate plots, so you need to walk along the sidewalk of the main road. The restaurant serves excellent food and is well worth trying. Since the Room’s shower area is inside the bedroom, I felt a glass partition would be better than a curtain. This Hotel has well-equipped shared spaces; guests who don’t mind other visitors around will enjoy it. There are many negative Reviews, but personally I think it was more than acceptable. I would like to stay again.

Stayed at the accommodation after a long time. The quality of the room, the garden view from the window—everything was truly wonderful. The location is also excellent. Additionally, it felt like the service has improved significantly compared to before. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I was delighted to receive a stollen for Christmas as well. Just two stops from Kyoto Station and only a short walk from the nearest station, with excellent access. The bus stop is almost right in front, making it easy to reach major sightseeing spots. There are also convenient nearby options for a quick bite, such as Maison Kayser, Starbucks, and ramen shops. The Hotel felt like a private apartment unit, with a spacious living room, a large TV, plus a kitchen and even a washing machine. The bath was on the balcony and was spacious enough for two adults to sit side by side comfortably. There was also a sofa next to it for relaxing—when the breeze comes through, it’s especially pleasant. The staff were very courteous and attentive. I would love to stay again.

A wonderful Accommodation has opened right in front of the World Heritage site Ninna-ji Temple. From before we even entered, the staff welcomed us warmly, guided us to our Room, and provided very attentive explanations. It felt like the highest level of hospitality—like staying at a luxury Ryokan from the Showa era. The Room features exquisite Nishijin-ori textiles throughout, adding a refined Kyoto touch in many places. The entire building is tatami-floored, which felt great underfoot, and since it is newly built, the fresh scent was very pleasant. In the lounge, you can relax quietly while looking out at Ninna-ji Temple. Dinner was served in a private room, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal made with seasonal ingredients—clearly prepared with great care by the chef. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a special cocktail. It paired well with the food and was delicious. The bath was excellent as expected, and it was always kept impeccably clean no matter when we went in, making it very comfortable to use. This Accommodation was outstanding in every way—I can’t write enough about it. Since children are not allowed to stay here, it’s perfect when you want peaceful time for adults only. Thank you to all the staff for your heartfelt hospitality. We’ve found another favorite Accommodation.

The check-in location is a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, and we were provided with a free Shuttle Service to the townhouse. The amenities were well-stocked, and we could choose additional items next to the reception. The reception staff were very kind and responded graciously even when we contacted them late at night. There is a convenience store within walking distance, and check-out can be done on the spot, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much.
