This was our eighth stay. Ever since our first visit, the Room, the private bath, and the surroundings of the Hotel have been very comfortable, and the meals are delicious. We stay about once a year, and it has become something my wife and I truly look forward to. This time as well, the food was excellent—especially the Chateaubriand, which was outstanding. Although it was rainy and we didn’t go to Mount Koya this time, we were able to see exceptionally beautiful flowering peach trees and weeping cherry blossoms around Sanso Amanosato.

We stayed as a family of three. This time, we chose this Accommodation for my husband’s birthday trip, and the thoughtful care from all the staff was truly wonderful, making it a trip we will always remember. They prepared a bed for our newborn daughter and showed such attentive consideration during meals as well, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. They also arranged a surprise dessert plate for my husband, and even gave us a heartfelt gift to take home when we left—we were deeply moved. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable birthday for him. In the Room, we enjoyed watching movies at our leisure with the projector—something we don’t often get to experience—and we were also able to spend luxurious time in the open-air bath. We are sincerely grateful that we could spend such an irreplaceable time together as a family of three in such a lovely Room. We would love to visit again in another season. This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. Takechintei, located within the vast Mifuneyama Rakuen grounds, was a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality. The staff’s thoughtful care was exceptional, and we were truly grateful for service beyond what we could have hoped for. Although July was already extremely hot, the breeze in the forest was pleasant, and we enjoyed a refreshing walk among the trees. The meals were also a delight, with the chef’s finest dishes beautifully presented on carefully selected tableware such as Arita ware. Some dishes felt slightly sweet to me as someone from the Kanto region, but I felt they were of a refined restaurant quality that goes beyond typical Onsen Ryokan cuisine. Next time, I would love to stay during the season when 5,000 cherry blossoms or azaleas are in bloom. Thank you very much.

This was my third stay. This time, I stayed in the new wing for the first time and had in-room dining, which was very relaxing and enjoyable. The meals were, as always, outstanding. The open-air bath here also felt wonderful, and I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. I’ve already made a Reservation for winter and am looking forward to it.

I made a Reservation because the riverside location seemed convenient for sightseeing. I chose the smallest Room, and it was fun in its own way. However, I hadn’t checked that the bed was a single, and since I move around a lot in my sleep, that was the only disappointment. The bath didn’t have many different types of water, but it had a nice atmosphere and I enjoyed it. What disappointed me was the pace of the meal service. I wanted to take my time, but it was too fast and we left after 40 minutes. Also, perhaps because they were not Japanese staff, there were a few moments when the explanations were unclear. That said, all of the staff were very pleasant and kind. I’d like to stay again during the winter illuminations. Thank you very much.

I visited Hiiragiya again. I had made a Reservation for a Room with a bath and toilet, but I was first shown to a Room without them. It was still very comfortable, but when I asked to Check Reservation, I was told there had been a mistake, and you kindly arranged for me to stay in the Room associated with author Yasunari Kawabata. Thank you for your thoughtful care. Once again, I enjoyed Kyoto’s summer flavors—chilled edamame soup topped with sea urchin, pike conger sashimi, grilled tilefish with crispy scales, jellied soft-shelled turtle broth, Kamo eggplant with sesame sauce, and more—then fully enjoyed Yoiyama and fell asleep thinking of Mr. Kawabata before continuing on to the Gion Festival. Kyoto is changing little by little, but this is the beauty of Japan—and the spirit of Japanese hospitality—that I hope will be passed on to future generations.

My spouse and I stayed on June 19. The building was old, but it was well maintained, and the courtyard after the rain in the morning was lovely. All of the meals were delicious, and we both finished everything. The staff were also very pleasant. We were able to visit Amanohashidate, which we had wanted to see for a long time, and fully enjoy Kyoto by the Sea. Thank you very much.

We visited during Golden Week for a birthday trip. From the warm welcome to the lounge, Room, baths, and meals, everything throughout our stay was wonderful and made it a truly unforgettable trip. The view from the Room was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time. Every dish was genuinely delicious; even though the portions were generous, it was so good that I finished everything for the first time. All of the staff were consistently kind and attentive, which made our entire stay very comfortable. We also went to an outside bath, but it was quite crowded—so much so that we felt completely satisfied with just the Ryokan’s baths. In particular, the in-Room bath had perfect temperature and excellent water quality, and it was incredibly soothing. I’ve been traveling about once every two months for many years, but this is the first Ryokan that truly made me think, “I definitely want to come back.” Next time, I’d love to visit during crab season. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This was the Accommodation I had wanted to stay at on my first trip to Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Accommodation was very clean and quiet, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. The Room was spacious, and the view of the reflecting pool from the terrace was beautiful. The open-air bath in the Room had free-flowing natural hot spring water, which felt wonderful. At the bar lounge, I enjoyed complimentary drinks while chatting with the staff and had a great time. I highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone looking to spend a relaxing stay for a special anniversary or simply to unwind and forget about everyday life.

When I called before our visit to ask about a few concerns, I had a wonderful impression, and as expected, this was an Accommodation where we were truly comforted by the genuine kindness of everyone. All of the meals were carefully prepared with gentle seasoning, and even for someone like me who doesn’t eat much, the portions were just right, which I really appreciated. The Room was also so comfortable that simply gazing at the peaceful scenery from it made me forget the fatigue of everyday life. The three of us—my 86-year-old father, my brother, and I—stayed here. When I mentioned during the Reservation that my father is elderly, they kindly upgraded us on the day to a Room with a private indoor Onsen bath fed directly from the source. My father was delighted and said he could truly relax and enjoy the Onsen. Everyone at the Ryokan, starting with the proprietress, was very kind. Their service was warm yet respectfully unobtrusive, which we really appreciated. Our Room was a traditional-style Japanese-Western suite inspired by an old farmhouse; it was spacious and luxurious, and we couldn’t help but admire the impressive beams. We were shown to a private dining room for our meal, which we had been looking forward to. The dishes were served at our pace, allowing us to savor delicious food and drinks in complete comfort. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return again after quite some time away. Thank you so much to the proprietress and all staff for your exceptional hospitality!

We stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our 6-year-old was thrilled with the pool. Although it sometimes felt a bit understaffed, we were very satisfied with the pleasant service that made up for it. We’ve traveled to Okinawa dozens of times and stayed at many Hotels, and this one is definitely among the top. There were a few insects, but that’s part of the charm. We’ll probably come back again.

I chose this Accommodation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. It was my first stay here, and it far exceeded my expectations. Above all, the staff’s service was truly outstanding, and I was moved by every thoughtful gesture. The property has the charming presence of a grand traditional Japanese house, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a luxurious time dining at a relaxed pace while looking out over the garden. The basashi (horse sashimi) in particular was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable. The Room was spacious and spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was wonderful. The building also has delightful surprises and playful touches that even first-time guests can enjoy, which kept me excited throughout our stay. They also offer an excellent selection of sake, so I especially recommend this Accommodation to sake lovers. It was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever stayed—completely satisfying in every way. I will definitely return.

This was our first stay here on a trip for two. We stayed in the Room called “Nagaishi-no-Ma,” a nostalgic-style Room surrounded by furnishings such as a Karuizawa-carved desk, creating a calm and pleasantly reminiscent atmosphere. Above all, the staff’s service and explanations were very courteous, and we were able to spend our time comfortably, making it a wonderful memory. We would love to visit again next year.

I often stay at international Hotels these days and usually come home impressed wherever I go, but this place was in a class of its own. Since the Hotel has only recently opened, it’s natural that the Facilities are spotless, but the hospitality was truly outstanding—really! My friend and I even promised we would definitely come back. Breakfast at Gion Kawakami and the rooftop bar were both excellent as well. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

The spacious, spotless room, the relaxing pool, and the delicious food—everything was perfect.
