The garden was magnificent. The bath was also an Onsen that warmed us to the core, and the meals were very delicious. We would definitely like to stay again. The cake included with the anniversary Plan was exceptionally good, and enjoying it with the complimentary coffee made for a truly happy time.

The meals were truly outstanding. The sake pairings were also excellent. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to for the first time in a while.

I’ve stayed in many places, but this was the best. The Room was clean and well maintained, and the front desk staff were very polite and attentive. There are no meals provided, but they kindly recommended nearby restaurants. I definitely want to stay here again.

I’ve stayed in Tsuki 1 and Tsuki 7 from the Tsuki series before, but I visited this time because I really wanted to stay in Tsuki 5, which is highly praised by repeat guests of Kasuien. The team at Kasuien kindly accommodated my request, and I was able to enjoy a wonderful stay. This time the kids were away at summer camp, so it was just the two of us—and we fully enjoyed Kasuien as a couple. In the height of summer, being able to experience the endless Higashiyama forest and the chorus of cicadas—immersed in nature while staying in the comfort of Kasuien—was simply amazing. The staff were the familiar faces we always see, which made us feel very at ease. We debated going to Dominica, but chose in-room dining for dinner with a Kasuien bento—absolutely the right choice. You can enjoy both the meal and Kasuien’s comfort to the fullest. It would be such a waste to go out! The stay-in experience was fantastic. We’d love to come again.

We stayed here hoping to relax as a family of four with our two adult children. From the warm welcome in the parking lot to the welcome drink and escort to our Room, we were treated with outstanding hospitality. Every detail—from the entrance hall and corridors to the Room interior—showed great care and exceeded what we had seen on the website in advance. The large public bath is not huge, but since the number of guests is limited, it was more than sufficient. We also enjoyed being able to soak in Onsen anytime in the bath in our Room, which was wonderful for our family. The meals reflected the chef’s dedication (he is from Shiga Prefecture), and every dish was a delight for both the eyes and the palate. We also appreciated having time to unwind as a family in the lounge with drinks, making this a trip that left all of us completely satisfied. What we recommend most about this Accommodation is that every staff member provides genuinely pleasant service. In addition to taking care of what we needed, they entertained us with friendly, witty conversation. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again and again as a couple or with family. I stayed with my mother, and we were satisfied with everything! The Room was spacious, bright, and spotless—almost too much for just the two of us. The bath was the perfect size and temperature. Bathing while listening to the morning birdsong was truly special. The meals I had been looking forward to most exceeded my expectations. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious, and with the lovely atmosphere of the dining area, we had a wonderful time. We didn’t often see the Ryokan staff rushing around, but perhaps that’s part of their consideration so guests can relax in peace and quiet. If so, it’s impressively thorough. My mother especially loved it (as did I), so we would definitely like to stay again!

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

I visited on the 17th and 18th of last week for a refresh vacation. When I arrived, there were so many people along the Narai-juku street that it was difficult to make my way in. The garden outside my Room was spacious and could be enjoyed from the floor-to-ceiling window, creating a calm atmosphere where time seemed to slow down. I was able to spend some quiet, relaxing moments. Both the food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I was also very satisfied with the dinner pairing—the selections matched perfectly. Personally, one dish featuring locally grown vegetables and the gin and tonic served as part of the pairing were especially memorable! The staff at BYAKU Narai were easy to talk to, and I really enjoyed our conversations—it became a wonderful memory. This time I missed out on trying the whisky, so next time I’d like to make sure I don’t forget. I also forgot to buy a bottle for home (haha).

The Ryokan baths, the private bath, and the public hot springs were all wonderful. It was a shame we couldn’t visit all of the public baths, but we’d love to come back and do a full hot spring tour next time! As for amenities, we didn’t have any particular issues, but I happened to forget my makeup remover and thought it would have been helpful if the Ryokan had one available. I didn’t realize there was a Ryokan tucked away behind the central sightseeing area of Amanohashidate. Because it is set back, the grounds were quiet despite being in a tourist spot, and I could hear birdsong and the sound of the waves. The building has been renovated, and the Room amenities were up to date; the bath was also very clean. The Onsen in the large public bath isn’t big, but it was comfortable because I didn’t run into anyone, and it was nice to be able to enjoy coffee after bathing. The meals were generous enough to satisfy even someone with a big appetite like me, and everything tasted great. For breakfast, a chef came to our private dining room and cooked dashimaki right in front of us—it was a wonderful surprise. The Nepalese staff member explained the many ingredients in Japanese, and their service was polite and pleasant. I would love to stay again.

The cuisine was outstanding and truly moving. Each dish reflected careful selection of fresh local ingredients and meticulous preparation. Given the location, I expected excellent seafood, but the vegetables were beyond anything I imagined. This Accommodation is well worth going out of your way for.

The Onsen water has a silky, soothing quality and feels wonderful, but above all, the kids’ room was fantastic. Our 3-year-old grandchild loves it and had fun the entire time again on this visit. Seeing that happy smile is the best gift for us grandparents. This is our third stay this year, and we also have a Reservation for December 31 at year-end.

Thank you for your thoughtful emails even before our stay. On the day, our flight was suddenly canceled and we had to take the ferry, but you quickly adjusted the rental car arrangements. The food was cooked right in front of us, and both the taste and portions were excellent; the drinks were delicious too. The hot spring water quality was great, and we were able to truly relax in both body and mind. Everything was perfect!
