A 10-minute walk to famous tourist spots such as the old streets of Hida Takayama. Our facility is located among a cluster of temples on a hill, which was once a samurai residential area protecting the now-lost Takayama Castle. The surrounding area retains much of its historical charm, offering a very quiet and peaceful environment. In front of us lies a walking path that circles the temples, where many visitors, including international tourists, enjoy strolling. Our facility began 200 years ago as a bathhouse for a temple and was established at its current location 90 years ago. Through continuous renovations, it has been praised as a bathhouse that blends the nostalgic charm of the Showa era with modern enjoyment. In 2022, we expanded our spacious outdoor area, adding a large open-air pool with Epsom salt, a cold water bath with drinkable water from Hida Takayama, and a wood-fired sauna. Wood-fired saunas are rare even across The whole country, attracting many visitors from afar. Guests can also enjoy self-service wood stoking and "löyly" (steam infusion). The baths vary in temperature from low to high, allowing you to relax in the bath at your preferred temperature. The pool-like open-air bath is set at a lukewarm temperature, making it very popular with children. After exploring the streets of Hida Takayama, please enjoy a relaxing bath to your heart's content.
