During the Edo period, passing through the Takanawa Ōkido gate near Sengakuji marked the transition out of Edo city, serving as the true starting point of the Tōkaidō journey. The property is located in a corner of the Sengakuji area. A breezy traditional Japanese house has been renovated into a fully-rented accommodation.
