Located in the heart of the mountain Onsen area "Ryujin Onsenkyo," "Magokoro no Yado Marui" Marui Ryokan is situated about 15 km towards Shirahama from the original source of Japan's Three Beautifying Onsens, Ryujin Onsen. It is in the center of the village near the Ryujin Administrative Office, and we are grateful to celebrate our 97th anniversary this year. We are often asked, "Isn't it far from the original source?" Our Property has been operating in this location since the predecessor (the current proprietress's father) started a small inn in 1927. Over the years, we have evolved to include an Onsen bath where you can relax while enjoying the river view. With the motto "A Property of sincerity, hospitality with handmade cuisine," we take pride in offering dishes that reflect our unique touch and a natural approach. We strive to ensure that each guest who stays with us can relax and refresh both body and mind. The proprietress, head chef, and all staff are dedicated to making your stay a pleasant one. Our Property features five brand-new cottages with private dog runs, opened in 2023, as well as ten cottages facing a spacious natural grass dog run. All 15 cottages are equipped with Wi-Fi, offering excellent connectivity for a comfortable stay! We take special care to maintain cleanliness in every cottage to ensure our guests have a pleasant experience. In July 2024, our annex will OPEN! Located about a 5-minute drive from our Property, we have purchased an additional 60-tsubo plot of land next to the annex building. This space will include an expanded dog run and a gazebo where you can enjoy BBQs at your leisure without worrying about time. The artificial grass dog run also allows for up to two tents to be set up, making it easy to enjoy an outdoor atmosphere—already a big hit!
