A traditional Japanese townhouse that, even after more than a century, seems to breathe life as you step through its entrance. Restored using the unique techniques passed down through generations of townhouses, it has been combined with modern conveniences for your comfort. Located on Suzaku Avenue, the central axis of the ancient Heian-kyo capital, this area is rich in Kyoto's historical essence. Despite its deep historical roots, the Omiya Gojo area offers a glimpse into the daily lives of Kyoto's residents. For seasoned travelers, this is an opportunity to truly experience the feeling of living in Kyoto, even if only for the duration of your stay.

You can choose from two Rooms: "Mibu Doudan" and "Mibu Momiji." Maximum capacity is 6 guests, and up to 2 medium-sized dogs are allowed. Please present proof of rabies vaccination and general vaccination at check-in. One free parking space is available per Room. Parking space dimensions: "Mibu Doudan" 190cm x 500cm, "Mibu Momiji" 240cm x 500cm. The pet cage dimensions are 76cm in depth, 161cm in width, and 70cm in height. The building, constructed during the mid-Meiji and Taisho periods, features the Gion townhouse style, preserving the traditional charm of old Japan. It has been renovated to enhance comfort while maintaining its original form and ambiance. After the war, Nobel Prize-winning author Yasunari Kawabata visited Jugiya and remarked, "This is a quintessential Kyoto home." Today, Jugiya still retains the atmosphere of that time.

We have renovated a traditional Kyoto townhouse (Machiya) into a Property that combines the best aspects of a Hotel and a Ryokan, offering "one group per day, entire building rental." Suitable for various purposes such as a two-person Kyoto sightseeing trip, group travel, homecoming, anniversaries, and more.

A Kyoto Machiya where you can stay with your dog or cat, "Ichijo Karin." Accommodation is available for up to 4 guests. This is the only Property under Rakuryuan where cats are also allowed. Dogs (up to 2 medium-sized) and cats (up to 2) are welcome to stay. You can also stay with one dog and one cat. The size of the pet cage is 58cm in depth, 115cm in width, and 60cm in height. For stays with cats, we provide a cat tower, scratching post, cat litter, and a dedicated toilet. One parking space is available for free. The size is 200cm x 500cm. The Property is filled with the charm of a Kyoto Machiya, featuring glass shoji screens that have been cherished for years, beautifully grained coffered ceilings, impressive large beams, uniquely shaped kamoi, and the slightly steep stairs characteristic of Kyoto Machiya, which cannot be replicated even if newly built. Additionally, at 'Kyoiroiriyado Some SEN,' we provide a traditional hearth as the name suggests. For the purpose of preserving the property, we use an electric hearth instead of fire. Please enjoy this warm and nostalgic space.

The parking space dimensions are 240cm x 540cm for "Nishijin Kita Hagi" and 200cm x 450cm for "Nishijin Kita Ajisai." A small part of the courtyard has been designated as a dog area, and a foot-washing station is conveniently located near the entrance. The hotel produced by DOG DEPT, which provides a living space with dogs, opened in the summer of 2017. Located on the southern side of Karuizawa, it is a 1,300-tsubo complex facility featuring a forest resort-style DOG DEPT SHOP, an open terrace cafe & restaurant, and a dog run where dogs can freely play, allowing you to spend elegant time with your dog.
