The Facility and service were excellent, and it’s a place where I’d like to stay one more night or visit again. This is a recommended Accommodation. Unfortunately, there were two issues: 1. The shower in Room 106 had almost no water pressure, so I couldn’t wash my hair. I went somewhere else in the middle of the night to wash my hair. I would like enough water pressure in the Room shower to be able to wash my hair. 2. There was no lobby with staff on site at the Accommodation; if anything happened, I was told to scan a QR code and talk via smartphone. However, I could not access the system from my phone no matter how many times I tried. Even though I went there to relax, I had to struggle for a long time with setting up a smartphone system that didn’t work. Please place a telephone in the Room.

The Hotel was clean, and we enjoyed delicious meals. However, it was exactly sunset time, and it was disappointing that the curtains were closed so we couldn’t see it. The Onsen had a wonderfully silky texture that left our skin smooth! We used it three times. One thing that concerned me: when we arrived, a staff member came to take our luggage. While we waited with our dog in a stroller, we were told to wait outside until check-in at the front desk was completed. Waiting outside in the summer heat didn’t feel appropriate. If possible, I would have liked to wait inside—even in a corner of the lobby—while only one representative went in to complete the check-in. I heard that around autumn there will be a new Accommodation where guests can stay with their dogs, and I’m looking forward to it! I would also be very happy if there were a dog run.

I stayed here for my birthday and wanted to treat myself a little. The Room was well kept, and above all, the meals were delicious (a bit generous in portion size, though). The best part was being able to enjoy freshly baked bread at breakfast. The view from the balcony also gave me time to forget everyday life. We stayed here for a birthday trip, and it truly was a completely satisfying stay. Dinner was top-class in every respect—flavor, presentation, and ingredient quality—and the smoked splendid alfonsino was especially outstanding. They also kindly prepared a special birthday message plate at dinner, which made us very happy. The restaurant service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. The Japanese breakfast the next morning was also high quality, and the presentation using a wooden bento box felt fresh and memorable. The Room was very spacious, and the ocean view from the second floor was breathtaking—sea and sky blending into one. Soaking in the open-air bath (Onsen) while gazing at the moon was an indescribably blissful moment. With no TV intentionally provided, we were able to enjoy a digital detox and fully immerse ourselves in nature. Our daughter loved the pool too, so I highly recommend it for families with children. The lounge bar offered a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, and it was convenient and appreciated that we could bring them back to our Room. We would definitely like to stay again.

We enjoyed an elegant time as a couple with our pet. The Accommodation Fee was higher because we brought our pet, but staying at the Hotel we had long dreamed of was wonderful, and we made truly happy memories. The Room had an open-air bath and a bathing tub for dogs, and after filling it with five buckets of Onsen water, our pet looked warm and very comfortable. Before going to sleep, we soaked once more in the Room’s open-air bath while watching a subtitled foreign film on the TV through the glass window, enjoying a refined escape from everyday life. We also loved the Japanese cuisine, and both of us were very satisfied. I hope to visit again someday, and next time I would love to stay in the main building where dogs are not allowed. This is a truly dog-first Hotel, and I was impressed by the staff’s thoughtful attention to every detail. The meals were absolutely delicious, and I appreciated how you checked in with me right when I wanted coffee—it felt like you were always keeping an eye on everything.

On August 3, the annual Iyo-Ozu Hijikawa Fireworks Festival is held, so I made a Reservation for a Room with a close-up view of Ozu Castle. In the early evening, we finished dinner at the Hotel’s French restaurant “Le Un,” then returned to our cool, air-conditioned Room and waited excitedly for the fireworks to begin, sipping wine while admiring the illuminated Ozu Castle. Ozu is known as “Little Kyoto,” and in summer the basin heat and humidity linger even at night. But because of this terrain, the sound of the fireworks echoes off the surrounding mountains into a tremendous roar—more powerful than any fireworks I’ve ever experienced. This time I discovered a new style of Hotel created by renovating historic traditional houses scattered throughout Ozu, making it a truly meaningful summer trip.

The two of us stayed in a villa-type room. Because there were few guests, it felt very private, and we were able to enjoy a quiet stay. The private beach was well equipped with parasols and beach beds, and we saw lots of fish while snorkeling. We also used the sauna, and with the pool right in front of us, we were extremely satisfied!

It was absolutely amazing! Since we stayed just one night, it flew by, but I’m so glad we decided to rent the whole house! The place is stylish in every way, and there were plenty of towels—so after playing in the pool, we went straight to the Onsen! We could also do laundry, played in the pool again the next morning, and then back to the Onsen! The hot sandwiches included in the breakfast Plan were very filling. We also found the Arita mandarin orange juice that came with breakfast being sold elsewhere as a souvenir, so we bought some to take home. The quality of the meat for dinner BBQ was excellent—tender, juicy, and truly delicious! Meat included in BBQ Plans is often tough and not very impressive, but this one was incredibly good! Next time I’d love to bring friends and definitely stay here again!
