The building is spread out horizontally, so depending on where your Room is located, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant, baths, and lobby. Other than that, there were no particular issues or complaints. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Although the large public bath is not an Onsen, it offers three different water temperatures (high/medium/low) and water types, plus a carbonated bath. Other guests also mentioned that it might be more effective than some Onsen. The restaurant (buffet-style) had a wide variety of dishes, and the staff were excellent—one thoughtful touch was that they even informed us that ice cream could be taken back to our Room. I believe drinks inside the facility were reasonably priced as well—for example, a 350 ml can of beer was 350 yen. The souvenir shop opens from 7:30 a.m. It has a great selection, and you can probably find most things you need there.

We stayed for three nights during the Obon holiday. This was our third year in a row, and each time we feel truly refreshed and enjoy an amazing vacation. Although the weather was poor after the typhoon, it miraculously cleared up from the second day, and we were somehow able to see the Perseid meteor shower as well. The staff were wonderful, and there was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable; our children had a great time too. The only disappointment was that the Diamond benefit of early check-in is no longer available. Since check-in tends to take a little time each visit, that may be the one area for improvement. Thank you again for everything this time as well.

My aunt found a hair and, since she is not good with such things, she ended up contacting the front desk, which I felt very sorry about. However, the response afterward was truly wonderful: they handled it thoroughly using as many as four vacuum cleaners, and someone who seemed to be the manager and branch manager also apologized to her in person. Thank you very much for your exceptionally courteous service—we almost felt bad for causing you so much trouble. She also said the meat at dinner was tender and very delicious. With ocean views from every room, the scenery was amazing, and she told us it was “the best trip ever.” We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all your staff.

The property was comfortable even for a wheelchair user, so we were able to enjoy our family trip stress-free. Thank you for your kind support, including parking right in front of the entrance and providing amenities such as a shower chair. At breakfast, we were warmly greeted with “Good morning” and guided to our seats with a smile; everything was delicious and very satisfying—fresh vegetables, firm momen tofu with a rich soybean flavor, miso from a long-established local producer, thick-cut bacon, curry, and more. There are also Rooms with a train view, which railway fans will love. We’re glad we could stay again this summer as well, marking the 20th anniversary of Hokuto City and the 10th anniversary of the Hokkaido Shinkansen!

We were surprised to be served a welcome drink at check-in and to complete the procedures on the sofa, but both the Room and the food were incredibly stylish and amazing. There was no TV, which really made it feel like an escape from everyday life, and we thought that was part of what made it such a special space. From the moment we walked in, I feel like we said “Wow” about 20 times. We’d definitely love to come back again.

We visited on a family trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The parking lot in front of the main entrance was full, but we were able to park in the guest-only area as there was space available. The Onsen in the open-air bath was wonderful, and the meals were packed with delicious Niigata dishes and plenty of sashimi, which our whole family enjoyed. Unfortunately, it seemed there was no live piano performance that day, but another guest played beautifully, and we had a lovely time with coffee. We would like to visit again in a different season. The colors and presentation were lovely, everything felt very clean, and we were excited even before eating. User-friendly kitchen: The dining kitchen was spacious and easy to move around in, and the grill was simple to use, making cooking fun. A fully equipped authentic spa: Not only a bath, but also a sauna and cold plunge pool—an incredibly relaxing experience. ◯ With hopes for future improvements (why we rated 4 stars) The boundary between indoors and outdoors on the way to the open-air bath was very slippery, so we placed towels down ourselves as a precaution. Guests with small children or elderly family members may want to be especially careful. Moving between the Room, toilet, bath, and dining area requires outdoor footwear throughout, but we found the provided shoes a bit difficult to wear. More slip-on options would make it even more comfortable.
