It was a very beautiful place! We stayed in Villa 2, but we couldn’t figure out where it was even with the map… When we went to reception, a very kind woman helped us and showed us the way. We were looking forward to the private Onsen, but we were told that since the villa has its own bath, we couldn’t use the Onsen… We were very disappointed. I’m giving it 4 stars in hopes that they will clearly state that the entrance and parking lot are further inside so anyone can find them easily. The room was of course clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Next time, I’d love to take a walk down to the sea too!

This was my first time staying at a whole-house Hotel, and the staff were very kind—the services were excellent. I was also very satisfied with the handwritten letter and the spacious Room.\nHowever, while I was in the bathroom, a foreigner repeatedly tried to force open the front door (security), rattling it over and over. It was frightening to have someone loitering around the entrance, and their behavior was so scary that I had to go through the trouble of chasing them away.\nIt seems they had mistaken the location, but I couldn’t even use the bathroom in peace. At check-in, I would like Hotel staff to always accompany guests and guide them to the house.

We stayed with our family of three and one Chihuahua. The facility was very clean, and the room's kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, which was impressive. The public bath and open-air Onsen were small but very clean with great water quality. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen peacefully. We were extremely satisfied with the facility, and even our daughter said she wants to visit again. If I may suggest, it would be helpful to have more information about dog-friendly shops or facilities around the hotel or in the Yamanaka Onsen area. It was hard to find such information online for this area... But overall, we had a wonderful time! We definitely want to stay again. Thank you so much!

This was my second stay. The staff at the facility were just as kind and attentive as last time, making my stay very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the Onsen was excellent.

The Onsen was excellent. The outdoor bath was a bit lukewarm, but it’s a great Onsen. It’s important not to apply too much mud—it won’t come off even after washing. After drying off, the towel still had mud on it. Still, you can tell the Onsen minerals soak into your body even after you get out. We had dinner in the dining area. The shabu-shabu didn’t really need to be eaten with egg. Overall, the pork fat was delicious. We ordered shochu, but “Sakura Sakura” was only available by the bottle. Drank too much... Breakfast was a mix of small dishes served in a basket and a buffet. You can eat well and feel satisfied. As for the Room, honestly it was disappointing. The main building is old, and the tatami mats sink when you step on them. If you’re only there to sleep it might not bother you, but since everything else is so good, it felt like a shame.

It was our dog's first experience with a bath, and it was wonderful to let them enjoy the same Onsen (though they did try to escape!). The hotel staff were very kind and attentive, which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much. The facility was clean, and the garden was beaut

I stayed for two nights, and the best part was that drinks were free all the time with the all-inclusive plan. I didn’t go out anywhere and just enjoyed the Onsen and drinks, which was perfect.

The Facility was clean, and the view was great. Unfortunately, since it was the day before a typhoon, we couldn’t see the starry sky. The BBQ meat was delicious. However, I would have preferred chicken thigh instead of drumettes—just my personal opinion. The shrimp were also plump and tasty.

The refreshing host was truly soothing and put me at ease. They kindly accommodated my special meal requests, and the draft beer served in an ice-cold beer mug was excellent. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again.

Although the building has a charming, old-fashioned feel, it was thoroughly cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen is on the lukewarm side, but it truly is a skin-beautifying bath! Being able to bathe 24 hours a day is also very appealing. We stayed with our pet, and the cage provided was a large size and very convenient to use. We’d love to come back again next year.

The Room was clean, spacious, and the sunken kotatsu table made it wonderful. The amenities were also well stocked. The bath had a soothing hinoki scent and was very relaxing. The pet rules were not overly strict, so we could spend time freely in the Room, and our pet felt at ease as if at home. The meals were also very delicious. Because of a sudden change of plans, we made a last-minute Reservation and stayed here, and it was far more enjoyable than we expected! In the lobby right by the entrance, there was a kids’ play area, board games, and a small complimentary ice cream service—our child was thrilled. Meals were buffet-style, with a wide variety of items stylishly displayed, which made dining fun. We were especially impressed by the many dishes featuring ingredients from Ibaraki. Even though our Reservation was last-minute, they handled food allergies very carefully—for example, providing us with a detailed list—which we really appreciated. Our Room had not been renovated, so we noticed a slight musty smell and some humidity. If we stay again, we would like to reserve a renovated Room. Overall, the staff were very kind and made our stay comfortable.

This time, my “Dokoka ni Viewn” trip took me to Mizusawa-Esashi, so I chose Yakushido Onsen because I wanted to stay at an Onsen. Last time, I think I came by car. This time, I stayed alone in a Japanese-style room with breakfast and dinner included at a very reasonable price, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen four times—so refreshing. I’d love to visit again.

I stayed here five years ago and had the chance to return again this time. With restaurants and a supermarket just a 1-minute walk away, the location was perfect for dining.
