"Kinokawa Onsen Registered Tangible Cultural Property Inn Mikiyama" is a Japanese Ryokan with a 300-year history, located in the heart of the nostalgic Japanese Onsen town, Kinokawa Onsen. Renowned author Naoya Shiga made this Property his regular stay, where his famous short story "At Kinosaki" was born. The wooden architecture, built in 1927 and recognized as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, along with a 300-tsubo Japanese garden, retains its charm. In November 2013, the Property underwent a major renovation of its lobby, dining area, and large public bath, transforming into a modern Japanese Ryokan that blends history with contemporary design.From the Room's veranda, guests can enjoy the changing seasons in the garden, or lose themselves in a book in the library. This is a Ryokan located in the center of the Onsen town. It faces the Ōtani River and a row of willow trees, situated between Ichinoyu and Yanagiyu. You can enjoy visiting outdoor baths even on rainy or snowy days. Summer fireworks can be seen immediately upon stepping out of the entrance. All rooms are Japanese-style, equipped with air conditioning, toilets with bidets, and air purifiers. The men's bath includes an open-air bath. Arima Onsen, one of Japan's oldest hot spring resorts and counted among the three most famous onsen in Japan. During the Meiji era, when Kobe opened its port to foreign trade, many foreigners visited Arima Onsen. They also visited the renowned autumn foliage spot "Kiyomizu-dera," which later became a foreigner-exclusive hotel called "Kiyomizu Hotel." The lush green grounds of "Arima Sanso Goshobessho" still retain the sacred atmosphere of that time. Goshobessho was established by Shirobei Kanai XV, the current head of "Tosen Goshobo," Arima Onsen's oldest accommodation. All 10 suite rooms at Goshobessho are detached and feature private onsen baths and low-temperature saunas known as "Thermal Rooms." One of these suites even includes the world's first treehouse-style open-air bath.

Skilled in traditional ink-line marking, Heikichi was known locally as “Sumiya no Hei-san” (“Hei from the ink shop”). From this nickname came the house name Tanpei, later renamed “Tanpei,” and it has since been operated as the oldest Accommodation in Tango Town to this day. The spirit of hospitality of “Sumiya no Hei-san” has been passed down through six generations and continues today.
