This was my second stay here. As with my previous visit, the two older gentlemen who greeted us were very pleasant, and their warm welcome made us feel truly appreciated—excellent hospitality. Above all, I think Sarugakyo Hotel’s service is outstanding. There wasn’t a single staff member who made me feel uncomfortable. The person who assisted us during meals was from Nepal; perhaps they are still getting used to the work, but their sincerity really came through and I never felt uneasy at all. I ordered oolong tea, but when they repeated the order they said orange juice—so I corrected it, yet what arrived was orange juice (laugh). That was completely acceptable. It was delicious! The next morning, they greeted me with “Thank you for yesterday,” which made me happy. Thank you as well. Both dinner and breakfast were very tasty and generously portioned—we were completely satisfied. The Onsen was kept extremely clean and felt wonderful. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel, we had a very comfortable stay. We also really enjoyed playing table tennis. We will definitely come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything—the large public bath, the private bath, drinks in the lobby, snacks, dinner, and beverages. The only disappointment was that I dozed off after dinner again this time and couldn’t try the curry. We will stay again. Thank you very much.

This Accommodation is in an excellent location for sightseeing in Nara, so this was our second stay, this time to visit the Nara National Museum. From the moment we arrived, the parking guidance was very courteous, and the Room was spotless. The large public bath was also clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had a very pleasant stay. After checking out, the staff member who first assisted us even came out of their way to see us off, which made both my husband and me truly happy. I think this is a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality and thoughtful care.

Dining and shopping are available at nearby facilities. It was great to have free access to the bath during our stay. The view of Mt. Fuji from the Room was beautiful. Waiting for the clouds to clear was a relaxing moment. The female front desk staff were kind and courteous, and their smiles were wonderful. Breakfast wasn’t crowded, and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

I chose this hotel because it is close to the Chikubu Island cruise boarding point, and both the Italian dinner and the Japanese-Western breakfast buffet were delicious. Above all, the hospitality of all the staff was very pleasant. I was able to relax and take it easy throughout my stay. Thank you very much.

The sashimi set dinner featured local vegetables, and the sashimi was very fresh and delicious. The other dishes were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. The staff were kind, courteous, and attentive, making this a wonderful Accommodation. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay, following last year. The buffet offered a wide variety of cuisines and dishes, so it never felt repetitive, but it was a little disappointing that main-dish items were only available separately. Most Facilities were free to use, and our grandchildren were able to enjoy them without hesitation, which we were very happy about. They’re already saying they want to come again!

I chose to stay here based on past Reviews. This Hotel offers a relaxing, soothing atmosphere with a clean interior, spacious layout, and a quiet, serene setting. Dinner was more than ample and made with fresh ingredients—especially the bonito sashimi and seared bonito, which were outstanding. The Room was clean and generously sized, and I was able to unwind comfortably for the night. A very satisfying Hotel overall.

We stayed here for our first trip to show appreciation to my parents. Hoping my mother with rheumatoid arthritis could enjoy the Onsen, we chose a Room with a private bath. The food was excellent—especially the broth, which was outstanding, and I ended up drinking all of it with every dish. All of the staff were courteous, and even the cleaning staff stopped to greet us. My mother was very happy as well. We would like to stay here regularly. Thank you very much.

I stayed here again for the first time in 15 years. When staying in Kuju, this Accommodation is definitely the right choice. I was satisfied with everything—the views, the open-air bath, the service, and the meals. One small thing: the faucet at the Room sink was a bit too short and slightly inconvenient to use (haha). I made wonderful memories.

We searched for a well-reviewed Onsen with an ocean view and decided to stay here. From check-in to being shown to our Room, and even during meals, the staff always served us with a smile, making our stay very pleasant. The meals were very luxurious and absolutely delicious. The ocean-view terrace was also beautiful, and we were able to relax at our leisure. This is a Facility we would love to visit again.

I stayed here after hiking Mount Bandai. I was looking for an accommodation with a good view and reasonable price. As mentioned in other reviews, the view of Lake Inawashiro was excellent, and the facility was clean and comfortable. Before my stay, the staff kindly provided recommendations on where to eat and directions to a supermarket. Despite rising costs of goods and labor these days, this accommodation offers comfort at an affordable price through thoughtful efforts. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. The room is also spacious.

This was a very satisfying Accommodation for staying with our dog. - For dog walks, Oishi Park is just a 1-minute walk away, and it was perfect in the morning and evening after the tourists were gone. There is also an on-site dog run. - We usually choose a rental villa with an Onsen, but even without one, the water quality seemed excellent—I didn’t need body lotion, and I relaxed in the large bathtub again and again. - Unfortunately, it rained every few hours due to the weather, but the chairs placed in the earthen-floored entryway were very comfortable. My husband enjoyed beer and highballs, while I finished reading a book I brought along. - The bed was also very comfortable—I slept a total of 20 hours over three days. - There were various BALMUDA appliances, and it was fun cooking dinner using a hot plate for the first time. - We enjoyed breakfast delivered from a nearby restaurant both times; it was delicious. - The location is extremely convenient for both shopping and sightseeing. - It helped us recover from work fatigue and feel refreshed—this is exactly the kind of vacation we like.

Perhaps because rain was forecast, it was relatively quiet, and I was able to refresh in a peaceful Onsen surrounded by nature. In addition to the Shuttle Service from Akameguchi Station, there was also a Shuttle Service to Shijuhachi Falls after checkout, so I could enjoy sightseeing as well. The staff were very warm and kindly helped me when I accidentally left something behind. I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed at this Ryokan for my parents’ therapeutic hot-spring retreat. It’s a Ryokan that’s difficult to reach without a car, but it had a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were especially kind, and we truly enjoyed our stay. My elderly parents were delighted with the nostalgic Japanese-style room. There are many stairs inside the Accommodation, and my father, whose legs have started to weaken, had a bit of difficulty walking around the building. We had breakfast, and it was delicious Japanese food that left us completely full.

I stayed at the accommodation with my beloved dog. The first thing I felt was the owner's deep love for the local area. Their passion for cherishing local attractions and ingredients was evident in the meals and throughout the facility. The meals were made with plenty of local ingredients, offering a gentle and delicious taste! On our first night, the fruits were a bit large, making it difficult for my dogs to eat, but by breakfast the next morning, they had been finely cut. This thoughtful gesture truly moved me. The sauna was excellent, leaving both my mind and body refreshed. My dogs also seemed to feel safe and comfortable during our stay. It’s a wonderful accommodation filled with kindness that naturally makes you want to return again someday. Thank you so much!

Our couple in our 50s stayed for one night with our child’s couple in their 20s and our dog. The Room was spacious and pleasantly nostalgic, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the bathroom and toilet were spotlessly clean. The amenities were comparable to a Hotel. The staff were courteous, and we were able to relax completely. Since this Accommodation has no TV, it’s perfect for a digital detox! We wanted to do so many things—fireworks, stargazing, calligraphy—but ran out of time and left wishing we could have done more. This is an Accommodation meant for enjoying your time on-site. The stairs are quite steep, with the bedroom on the second floor and only one toilet on the first floor, which felt a bit risky for elderly guests or those with small children—so we rated only the Facility/equipment category as 4.

I stayed at Zazan Minakami for two days to visit Mt. Tanigawa. I made a Reservation with the most affordable Plan and chose the mini kaiseki dinner course. At around JPY 10,000 per person per night, it was very reasonably priced, so I didn’t have especially high expectations at first. However, the staff kindly prepared a top-floor Room for us, and the view of the Tone River from the window was truly soothing. The Room was spacious and bright, and I was able to relax comfortably. Every meal had gentle flavors and was wonderful. In particular, the tempura served at dinner on the second day was crispy on the outside and tender inside—more memorable than dishes I’ve had at luxury Hotels. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of wholesome dishes that made me happy every morning. Even though it was an inexpensive Plan, we received such attentive hospitality that I’m both surprised and deeply grateful. When I visit Mt. Tanigawa again, I would definitely like to stay here. Since we started traveling as a family, we often visit Kinugawa and Nasu, and we always stay at Hotel New Shiobara. This time was also Hotel New Shiobara. Since becoming premium, it has become even more comfortable. Above all, our children really love this hotel. The buffet meals, the baths, and the overall atmosphere inside the Hotel are all excellent. The newly opened lounge is also great. We plan to stay here again whenever we visit Nasu. Thank you as always.

In every way, this was the best Hotel I have ever stayed at. I will make another Reservation through IKYU.
