We stayed here after viewing the cherry blossoms in Miharu. It’s a small, standalone Accommodation, but the hospitality was wonderful! The bath is private for each Room, spacious, and available 24 hours. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches that let you soak in the Onsen while using a face mask. As expected from an auberge, every dish was refined and delicious. We were also very satisfied with the pickles at breakfast. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again!

This Accommodation never disappoints, no matter how many times we stay. The open-air baths include two types—a barrel bath and a rock bath—and can also be reserved for private family use. The meals are excellent, especially the beef tongue stew. The amenities also seem to get upgraded every time we visit. This time, because of the rain, we couldn’t have breakfast outside, but the outdoor breakfast is wonderful as well. It was also great that we were able to book a little cheaper through Yahoo Travel. We’d love to stay again.

We decided to visit Greenland at our kids’ request, and while looking for nearby Accommodation we found this fun place. For a family of five, it cost about JPY 25,000 without meals. It was our first time staying in a trailer house, but it felt like a secret hideout and the kids loved it. However, I understand it may be unavoidable due to the structure, but the smell from the toilet was quite strong—this was the only negative point. The surrounding area is well equipped with supermarkets, drugstores, restaurants, and more, so even if you forget something you can easily buy what you need. The best part was the amazing on-site hot springs! The large public bath was clean, and there were various saunas that were really interesting. It would have been even better with a TV, but it was still wonderful. There’s also a manga corner and free relaxation lounge where the kids were thrilled. There’s also a small gym (not full-scale), which I really enjoyed as well. Also, even on check-out day you can use the facilities until closing time, so we stopped by for a bath and休憩 on our way back from Greenland. We really appreciated that. Next time I’d like to come during a cooler season, but we were very satisfied overall. Thank you.

The hot spring has an abundant flow of water, and the waterfall bath provides an excellent massage effect for the shoulders and lower back. I stayed for two nights, and the proprietress’s vegetable-focused side dishes were very delicious, with no repeated menu items. It is buffet-style, and the staff manage it hygienically, which gave me peace of mind. The cleaning is thorough, but the building is old, and footsteps echo when people walk.

The staff’s warm, heartfelt hospitality was truly comforting, and I was able to spend my entire stay feeling relaxed and at ease. The whole Hotel was kept impeccably clean, and I could sense thoughtful attention to detail throughout, which allowed me to unwind with complete peace of mind. Each dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and wonderful in both appearance and taste—I was completely satisfied with everything. Thanks to the staff, I had a wonderful time in Karuizawa. I am sincerely grateful. When I visit Karuizawa again, I would definitely like to stay here. Thank you very much for a lovely time.

It was busy because it was during the summer vacation season, but the bath was spacious, so it didn’t feel too crowded. The food was delicious, but I felt our table was a little far away. Overall, it was good!

All the staff were cheerful and kind, making our trip even more enjoyable. The Hotel was a little hard to find, but the Facility was more than sufficient for pets. In the morning, we enjoyed walking down the stairs from the dog run to Lake Hamana—it felt wonderful. We also thoroughly enjoyed an excellent full-course meal. As for the Room, it was unnecessarily spacious for us as a couple, so next time we may choose a smaller Room. In such an elegant setting, sipping complimentary sparkling wine alone in the lounge in the evening while looking out at Lake Hamana and the sunset was pure bliss. This is a Hotel we would definitely love to visit again.

We stayed as a family of three. We had an elderly family member with us, and we sincerely appreciate the staff’s thoughtful care. The meals were delicious, just as other Reviews mentioned, and even my mother—whose appetite has decreased—was able to take her time and finish almost everything. The bath, including the handrails by the tub, was easy for an elderly person to use. When we visit Ise again, we would love to stay here.

The staff’s wonderful smiles, their kind and attentive service to my mother who travels with me, delicious cuisine that delights all five senses, and an Onsen you can enjoy as much as you like whenever you like—everything about this Accommodation is consistently excellent, so we keep coming back. The Rooms are clean and comfortable with a strong sense of privacy, and each Room has a completely different atmosphere, which makes it fun to try them all. We would love to visit again in a different season.

I decided to go on a castle tour in Gunma Prefecture. The accommodation was conveniently located near Numata Castle Ruins and surrounded by plenty of dining options, so I chose it. With a spacious public bath on the first floor and a large dining area, the overall design was relaxing and comfortable. I splurged a little and reserved a room on the 10th floor, the top floor, where I enjoyed expansive views of Numata's beautiful mountain scenery. For dinner, I had some drinks at the yakitori restaurant next door, which was right in front of the parking lot. There were also several izakayas and bars nearby, making this my favorite accommodation. The breakfast buffet was well-managed with staff promptly replenishing dishes and cleaning up with great attention to detail. However, it was disappointing to see some guests leaving their tables messy with leftover dishes behind.

I always stay at Itoen Hotel when I travel. The Room was spacious, a blend of Japanese and Western style, and very clean. Since the Hotel isn’t very large, it was easy to get around with short walks to the dining area and the large public bath. The all-you-can-drink buffet at this price was very satisfying—there were two types of sake and three types of shochu, which was perfect for alcohol lovers. The large public bath was spacious and relaxing. As always, it was an Accommodation with excellent value that never disappoints. Thank you very much.

I originally planned to stay for one night and then move to another Accommodation, but it was so comfortable that I extended my stay for a Multiple Night Stay. The property was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was carefully prepared, and on the second day they changed the menu. They also provided options for children. During my stay, I enjoyed coffee, and in the evening I had a little alcohol as well. It was a wonderful stay. The view from the Room was great, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Thank you very much.

The blend of nature and luxury was wonderful. I loved taking my time in the sauna, and the wood-burning stove was truly soothing. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. I’ll definitely be back.

The station was nearby, and the parking lot was next to the Hotel (Reservation required), so it was very convenient. I was also satisfied with breakfast. The sound of doors opening and closing carried quite a bit, but otherwise it was very comfortable. Thank you.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

I have stayed here several times. Every visit, I’m impressed by the warm service, the simple and spotless Room, and the soothing greenery—my satisfaction is always extremely high at this Hotel. While service standards at Hotels across Japan have been declining due to staff shortages, this Hotel continues to uphold the tradition of classic hospitality and could serve as a model for Hotel professionals nationwide. I would love to visit again next summer.

My 84-year-old mother wanted to eat conger eel, so the three of us visited together with my niece. We had a Reservation for the Yama-no-Iori Room, but since there was a cancellation, we were upgraded to a Room with an open-air bath, which made us very happy. There were many international staff members, and their service was truly pleasant and welcoming. The food was consistently delicious as always—nothing to complain about. We enjoyed conger eel in many different dishes: sashimi, grilled, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and more. The salt-grilled sweetfish was also excellent, and it was my first time trying sweetfish rice—delicious and very satisfying. My mother and I have visited several times before; it was my niece’s first visit, but she really liked it too, which we were glad to see. Just one thing: my niece said the pillow was a bit low, which was the only disappointment. We will be back again in October for the matsutake dishes with three families—my parents’ family and my sister and her husband’s family as well. Thank you very much!

I stayed in an East Wing twin Room. The view from the Room was great, overlooking the open sky. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan, so it wasn’t a problem. The dinner buffet was good—especially the seared bonito and binchotan tuna. There was also crab, but it was pretty empty and not very good. It was disappointing that alcohol prices were high. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. For some reason they had morning beer, and it was cheap at 500 yen! The hot spring water quality was excellent and I was satisfied. The only downside is that since it’s a shared open-air bath, I wish they would switch between men and women by time slots. Before check-in, you can use the baths at Prince Hotel and Kogen Hotel.
