This building was originally a village headman's house where ancestors lived since 1842 (Tenpo 13). Within the premises, there is a nagaya-mon gate, main house, rice storehouse, and garden that have been preserved for 200 years. The rice storehouse, designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property, was renovated in 2005 to start a French restaurant. The owner is the 8th generation here. With the desire to preserve it unchanged for the next 200 years and to offer a complete hospitality experience to our guests, we have built a property on the mountain behind. Our Onsen facilities include separate indoor baths for men and women, a mixed-gender indoor bath, and a mixed-gender open-air bath. There are three different spring sources. You can enjoy three distinct types of Onsen. Magoroku Onsen Rokuan is a rare village-style Ryokan, with buildings separated into individual lodges. It may not feel luxurious in every way, but because you will often step outside, you can experience Magoroku’s great nature directly. The stillness of summer nights, the beauty of the morning sun, and the cool breeze. There are experiences and moments of awe that can only be found here. We have six Rooms in total; each Room accommodates up to two guests for a relaxing stay. Our dining area is counter-style and is the only place where all guests gather at once. In the same Hakone Sengokuhara area, our group facility "Kinnotake Sengokuhara" has been highly praised for its enchanting "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" theme. To allow guests to enjoy this magical atmosphere in a more flexible style, "Kinnotake Saryo," a day-use-only facility known as the "Ryokan You Can't Stay At," was established in August 2022.In July 2025, marking its 3rd anniversary, it became possible to stay overnight with a No Meals Included option in addition to day-use visits. By offering flexible stay options, we provide an opportunity for both domestic and international guests traveling across Japan to experience luxurious moments without being bound by time.
