This was my first time sightseeing in Otaru. We stayed at this Hotel right in front of the Otaru Canal. It was a one-night stay for our family of three, and we ate out, so we only needed a place to sleep. The Room felt a bit small, but since we were just sleeping there, it was more than enough and we were satisfied. Next time, I’d like to try the Hotel breakfast. There are many coin-operated parking lots very close to the Hotel, and the rates were much cheaper than in Tokyo. We parked overnight and left the car until checkout while sightseeing around Otaru Station, and it cost 800 yen for 24 hours. There were coin parking lots around 800–1,200 yen. The Hotel Facility was clean, with a calm lobby atmosphere as well—we were very satisfied. Amenities such as face wash, cleansing products, and skincare items were available on the first floor. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to the Otaru area. Thank you very much to all the staff members.

I stayed here for an exam, and it was truly wonderful. First, I received some supportive snacks for exam takers, which helped ease my nerves and encouraged me. The Hotel was clean and well maintained, and a humidifier was provided. For exam takers, the breakfast hours were also moved a little earlier, and I am very, very grateful.

The Accommodation’s heartfelt hospitality was evident from check-in onward, extending through dinner, the Onsen, and every aspect of your stay in the Room.

It would be nice to have something like a static electricity removal sheet since static electricity is a concern.

Our children were delighted, and we had a wonderful time. We really appreciated the Room upgrade, and when our siblings argued over the amenities, the front desk staff responded flexibly and helpfully. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The bath, the Room, and the meals were all excellent. The bath has a great view and is spacious, so you can relax and take your time. The catfish at the breakfast buffet was especially delicious, so I ended up eating a lot. All of the staff were very kind. (Thank you so much for sending my lost item back to me!) I will definitely stay here again!

The property uses smart check-in and mobile ordering throughout. Staff are of course available, so if you’re unsure about anything, they will assist you and there’s no problem. It felt like unnecessary extras have been eliminated to enhance the quality of meals and other services. The Room with a semi-open-air bath was more than spacious enough. The interior seems to have been renovated, so it didn’t feel particularly old, but the Room is not barrier-free and there were quite a few steps/level changes. The staff were friendly, and overall it was a very satisfying Accommodation. One thing: free coffee was provided in the lobby, but unfortunately it wasn’t drinkable. I used it while waiting to check in, and since that’s an important moment that shapes first impressions of an Accommodation, I wanted to mention it.

Unusually for our family trips, we had dinner served in our Room and slept on futons laid out in a tatami-style Japanese Room, which reminded me again that Japan’s Ryokan culture is something to be proud of worldwide. Dinner was a course focused on carefully selected ingredients with modest portions, but it was more than enough for us—we were truly moved by the beautiful, delicious dishes. The deep-sea blackthroat seaperch (nodoguro) fried and topped with thickened sauce was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also a feast, charmingly arranged like a Shokado bento using local ingredients. At night, we lay down on the neatly made futons chatting, and before we knew it we had fallen asleep—when we realized it, it was morning. Does happiness get any better than this? The woman who looked after us—was she the proprietress or an attendant?—was wonderful. From explaining each dish and laying out the futons to helping us plan our itinerary and guiding us to the free Yasugi-bushi stage show (it was amazing—a must-see), explaining that the Onsen is free-flowing from the source, what the Onsen symbol means, and even soothing our baby—she felt like both a concierge and a dependable, knowledgeable mom. The bath was of course at just the right temperature and wonderfully open-air—we were completely satisfied. And despite all this, it was very reasonably priced. We would love to come again.

A hidden gem at our breakfast restaurant is the Fisherman's Bowl, also known as Mago Chazuke. Served in a special bowl with half a portion of white rice, namero (minced fish), shirasu (whitebait), pickled plum, grated yam, shredded seaweed, wasabi, and dashi broth. Perfect for those looking to replenish salt and energy during summer fatigue—give it a try! Enjoy it with the scent of the sea and ocean breeze! We have a suggestion: how about offering an "Ahi Creative Tuna Bowl" during lunchtime someday? GINGER or SPICY Ahi bowls are extremely popular in Hawaii. We believe it would be perfect for SAYAN's lunch menu and could become a hit dish. You can compare it to OFF THE HOOK or MAGURO SPOT—Ono!! Announcement! This was my first stay in Yugawara Onsen. The water is quite hot, which I personally like. The dishes were beautifully plated and a delight to look at as well. We were also very grateful to the staff who assisted us during meals—they were always smiling and very attentive. This isn’t specific to this Hotel, but regarding children’s meals: when we choose Child Sharing Existing Bedding and order only the meal, most places serve something like a kids’ set. Even if it’s paid, we would really appreciate having the option to choose just rice and miso soup. Our 2-year-old was kindly provided rice and miso soup free of charge. For our 5-year-old, we felt it wouldn’t be right not to order a meal, so we did—but we would be very thankful if there were options to choose from. I don’t want to end up finishing what my child leaves behind instead of enjoying the wonderful food myself—an admittedly selfish request. The dried horse mackerel at breakfast was absolutely delicious. We look forward to staying again when we visit Yugawara.

The food—especially the special kaiseki course—was excellent. The staff were very attentive, and the timing of each dish being served was perfect. The sunset was also beautiful. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.\n(However, there was only one elevator, which was a bit inconvenient.)

I’ve stayed here several times, but this was my first time at Kobushi. ○ There is a gap at the bottom of the Room door, so outside noise carries in easily. ○ Because there is no door to the dining area, food smells spread throughout the entire floor. Also, dinner time is set at 90 minutes, and the next dishes come slowly. When dining with a child (one-plate meal), they finished early and it was difficult. These two points were drawbacks. Everything else was perfect. You can enjoy yourself from morning until late afternoon the next day! You can play a lot and relax, and everyone from children to adults will be satisfied. No matter how many times we come, my child says they want to stay again. Regarding meals, I’d appreciate it if the serving pace could be faster for guests with children—once they finish eating, they have nothing to do.

The Room was clean and well maintained. The bed height and firmness were perfect for me. There was only a shower, but it was an overhead-style shower and felt great. However, the adjacent Onsen Facility was unavailable that day due to a mechanical issue, which was disappointing. So I’d rate the bath 3 stars. I think this is a Hotel I’d be happy to stay at for a Multiple Night Stay.

We were completely satisfied overall! The staff kindly checked in to make sure our dog was comfortable, which we really appreciated. The Room was spotless and very clean. The amenities provided were stylish as well. Everything for the light BBQ and the paella ingredients was fresh, delicious, and we were very happy with it. We brought our own alcoholic drinks. Making hot sandwiches in the morning was a great experience too, since there’s an easy-to-follow instruction sheet. It was hot during the day, but at night the temperature became comfortable, and we could relax with our dog in a hammock. The ger tent we stayed in was a little farther away, so we weren’t bothered by other families’ dogs. The only downside is that there are some spots where the internet connection is weak, but it’s actually nice for unplugging and chilling away from everyday life. We’d definitely recommend this place to friends who have dogs.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel, recommended by my daughter-in-law. When I informed the staff about our significantly delayed check-in, they responded kindly and professionally. The Room was clean and spacious, with an amazing view from the balcony. My husband and I are already discussing coming back next time with our son, his wife, and our grandchild.

Soaking in the gentle hot water was truly soothing, and the delicious cuisine (the broth was exceptionally good) was a delight. The riverside scenery, including the sand bath, was beautiful as well—an outstanding Accommodation. Above all, the hostess’s hospitality was exceptional. This is an Accommodation I highly recommend and would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

It felt like the Accommodation had been upgraded compared to my previous stay. The staff came out from the front desk to welcome us, carried our luggage, and created a bright, courteous atmosphere. We had our dog with us, and it was very reassuring. I also accidentally forgot our dog’s bowl, but you kindly lent us a replacement—thank you so much. Next time I’ll bring it. The squid sashimi and tempura we’d been looking forward to were wonderful, and the abalone shabu-shabu I tried for the first time was excellent. The other dishes were also delicious. It’s such a comfortable Accommodation, and even without traveling far, I don’t think there’s another place in Fukuoka Prefecture that offers this level of attentive service. The price is also very reasonable, so it feels like a great deal. I filmed the squid sashimi as a video, but unfortunately couldn’t upload it. Highly recommended.

I booked this Hotel after seeing it on YouTube, and it exceeded my expectations—it was a wonderful Hotel with a nostalgic charm that still retains the atmosphere of Japan’s Showa-era bubble period. There are many stunning scenic spots both inside and outside the building, and the meals offered a wide variety of dishes and were very delicious. I will never forget the breathtaking view of Sagami Bay from the large public bath, Spa Rium Nishiki. We stayed in an Ocean Wing Room, which was also clean. However, there was only one towel in the washroom, so I would have appreciated having face towels provided for each guest. Thanks to you, our Atami trip became a wonderful memory.
