Facing the Sea of Japan, Tango–Kumihama is a scenic area where many beautiful landscapes remain. A legend has been passed down here. In the Kamakura period, the monk Ippen traveled across The whole country to save people, distributing nembutsu talismans and performing dancing nembutsu. After finishing his preaching in Kyoto and heading toward San’in, he was chanting the nembutsu in Kumihama when clouds suddenly gathered and a blue dragon appeared over the sea. Dragon worship has long been practiced in this region, and it is said that the blue dragon revealed itself before Ippen to form a bond with the nembutsu. Even today, the Sea of Japan as seen from Kumihama retains an air of mystery. Like Ippen once did, you can be embraced by this scenery and find rest here.

Property Katsuo Minshuku Yutaka offers fresh seafood prepared by the fisherman owner. In spring and summer, enjoy abalone, and in autumn and winter, savor Ise lobster, pufferfish, and other seasonal seafood in abundance. Additionally, the winter delicacy "Anori Fugu," a Mie brand, can be enjoyed at a reasonable price. The property is an old building but provides a simple and nostalgic space for relaxation. All Rooms lack private baths and toilets (shared), and there is one family bath each for men and women.

Located in Osatsu, a town of Ama divers and fishermen south of Toba City, our Property is situated on a 5,000-tsubo estate atop a hill with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, slightly removed from the town. With only 9 rooms available per day, this Property was built by a fisherman owner who spent 20 years envisioning and personally completing the estate. As you walk along the path from the road, you’ll find yourself in a serene world where time flows differently from everyday life. At the bottom of the hill, a private beach awaits. A chef with experience as a head chef at a Hotel creates innovative Japanese cuisine that is visually stunning, utilizing the abundant mountain and sea delicacies of Izu. Enjoy it together with the natural Onsen. The rock bath (Onsen) is available for private use. The surrounding area features the Amagi mountains, suitable for light walks or serious trekking. From February to early April, Kawazu cherry blossoms and other sakura bloom in the vicinity, and you can view the blossoms from within the premises. From some Rooms, you can see the cherry blossoms through the windows.
