I used this place for my fishing expedition in Shimane. The location is excellent, situated between Hamada and Oda, making it a very nice spot. I will definitely come again next time.

We stayed here with our family of four for a memorial service. We stayed in a spacious 20-tatami Room on the second floor, which was connected to another Room with a kotatsu, so it felt very open and comfortable. The place has the relaxing atmosphere of a countryside grandmother’s home. The garden trees were well maintained and lovely to look at. We did not add meals, but there are many restaurants inside the nearby AEON mall, so we had no trouble finding places to eat. Also, we were told the bath is not an Onsen but mineral spring water, and it was gentle and didn’t leave us feeling fatigued afterward. The tub is about the right size for around three people. The water was quite hot, so we added cold water as we soaked. There is no elevator in the building, so it may be difficult for elderly guests. There may be guest Rooms on the first floor as well, so if you plan to stay, it’s best to check with the Accommodation in advance.

Every early December, we always stay here for smelt fishing at Lake Yamanaka. The Room has been renovated and is clean, and above all, the dinner is hearty and very delicious. The coffee sticks and tea available on each floor are helpful. We will come back again next year!

We stayed here during the fireworks festival in a Room with a fireworks view. I wasn’t sure about the location at first, but we were able to watch the fireworks perfectly from our Room. The Ryokan itself is quite old, but it has been nicely renovated—especially around the bathrooms—so it was very comfortable. The meals were generous and we were very satisfied, and the staff’s service was excellent. With only seven Rooms in total, it’s a small Ryokan, so we didn’t run into other guests in the bath and enjoyed plenty of privacy.

Right in front of us was a wide-open field. It was cloudy, so we couldn’t see the stars. Dinner was oven-roasted chicken. It was delicious, just as everyone said—though I’m not sure what it would be like if you stayed for two nights. Breakfast was simple and tasty as well. The honey was great, of course, and the corn and broccoli were also delicious.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our one-night, two-day stay. The Room was spotless and thoroughly cleaned, and we were able to truly relax. Although it was a detached Room, the main building was right in front of us, which made us feel at ease. We took an early-morning walk around the watershed area and saw beautiful scenery spreading out in the silence—it felt as if both mind and body were refreshed. Breakfast was also exceptional: we enjoyed the complimentary bread along with milk and yogurt we bought at a nearby farmers’ market. Our children were very happy too, saying they “wanted to stay longer.” It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much.

This trip had us constantly checking the weather, but we came with our kids, believing there might still be a chance to stargaze at the observatory. It was cloudy and forecast to clear after midnight, so we arrived early with mixed feelings. Before check-in, we were allowed to play mallet golf for free, and the kids ended up running around nonstop on the playground athletics course in the park. After check-in, we relaxed in the large public bath. It was very clean—it's not an Onsen, but it was great. Dinner was at the restaurant from around 19:00. The food was delicious and very generous; our kids couldn’t finish it, which we felt bad about. We really appreciated that the portions were adjusted for younger and older elementary school children. Then came what we’d been waiting for: stargazing! Unfortunately, because of the clouds, it switched to the planetarium instead. But thanks to those clouds, some guests apparently canceled—and unbelievably, everything ended up being completely private just for us! The director’s friendly talk and quizzes had our kids excited from start to finish. He also projected images of what you can see on a clear night, and it turned into an incredibly satisfying 45-minute journey through space! On our way out, each of us got to choose one favorite photo from the director’s collection taken at the observatory. When we stepped outside afterward, we could faintly see the moon and one or two stars starting to appear. Lights-out was at 21:30. We woke up at 2:00 hoping for a miracle—real stars—and somehow even the kids managed to get up too. Looking out through the large south-facing window, my child shouted “The Milky Way!!” I thought it might be a mistake—but it really was the Milky Way!! In the planetarium earlier, we’d heard that Scorpius is a “miracle constellation,” visible in that alignment only from Earth—and that seeing even its tail requires conditions that are rare even here at Ogawa Observatory… yet there it was as well!! We were so moved and happy that I fell asleep peacefully afterward! Breakfast was also excellent—again our kids couldn’t finish everything (sorry!). All of your staff were friendly and welcoming too; it was a truly satisfying trip! I actually stopped by about 20 years ago while visiting filming locations from *Hakusen Nagashi*, but I only briefly passed through back then—so this time left me deeply impressed.

I stayed for one night and two days as a solo female guest. It was very comfortable. I felt the hospitality was truly heartfelt. I will visit again.

Stayed at the accommodation after a long time. The quality of the room, the garden view from the window—everything was truly wonderful. The location is also excellent. Additionally, it felt like the service has improved significantly compared to before. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I was delighted to receive a stollen for Christmas as well. I had been wanting to stay at this highly rated Hotel for some time. In addition to the design, the restaurant and room service were excellent, and the Hotel’s facilities were well maintained, so I was very satisfied. Being able to enjoy records was also a great added value. Thank you very much.

A wonderful Accommodation has opened right in front of the World Heritage site Ninna-ji Temple. From before we even entered, the staff welcomed us warmly, guided us to our Room, and provided very attentive explanations. It felt like the highest level of hospitality—like staying at a luxury Ryokan from the Showa era. The Room features exquisite Nishijin-ori textiles throughout, adding a refined Kyoto touch in many places. The entire building is tatami-floored, which felt great underfoot, and since it is newly built, the fresh scent was very pleasant. In the lounge, you can relax quietly while looking out at Ninna-ji Temple. Dinner was served in a private room, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal made with seasonal ingredients—clearly prepared with great care by the chef. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a special cocktail. It paired well with the food and was delicious. The bath was excellent as expected, and it was always kept impeccably clean no matter when we went in, making it very comfortable to use. This Accommodation was outstanding in every way—I can’t write enough about it. Since children are not allowed to stay here, it’s perfect when you want peaceful time for adults only. Thank you to all the staff for your heartfelt hospitality. We’ve found another favorite Accommodation.

A small Hotel located in Karuizawa Lake New Town, where the owner couple and staff warmly welcomed us. The Hotel features a charming medieval castle-like exterior, with carefully selected interiors, furniture, and tableware that create a delightful atmosphere. The owner couple also runs popular curry restaurants in Tokyo and Karuizawa, and you can enjoy their curry as an optional meal at the Hotel. Both the curry and breakfast were incredibly delicious. Nearby the Hotel, you can find Lake Garden, stylish cafes, grocery shops, and more—perfect for enjoyable strolls. I would love to visit again!

Thank you very much for taking care of us the other day. This time, we planned a relaxing trip without overpacking our schedule and chose this Accommodation. The Room we stayed in was a renovated traditional storehouse in an old house, with both a first and second floor—very spacious. There was no TV or clock, so we were able to unwind exactly as planned. Another reason we chose this Accommodation was that we wanted to try the French dinner we saw on the travel site. When we actually had dinner, every dish was even more delicious than expected, and my wife and I were continuously impressed. In particular, the charcoal-grilled A5 Wagyu filet had the aroma of wood fire the moment it touched my mouth, and it easily ranks among the top three meat dishes I’ve ever had. I also quietly appreciated that corn rice was served instead of bread with the meat course. Also, perhaps from a casual conversation at check-in, they realized it was my birthday and surprised me with a celebration at dinner. It was embarrassing but truly made me happy and moved me. If there is one area for improvement, it would be nice if breakfast could be chosen as either Japanese or Western style. Overall, this is an Accommodation I can highly recommend.

The place was clean and well-maintained, allowing for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. I appreciated the availability of bicycles and made good use of them. I understand that maintaining a traditional house can be challenging, but I hope you continue to preserve and manage this building. Thank you very much for everything this time.

This is a charming accommodation with a pleasant atmosphere. It is a whole-house rental, providing plenty of space to enjoy. Although the access road is narrow, having parking available is very convenient. Since roads in this area are generally narrow and parking can be difficult to secure, it’s recommended to park here and explore the area on foot. Parking before check-in or after check-out can also be arranged by consulting with the staff managing the accommodation. Meals are delivered from a catering service called "Sensan." While there was an incident of food poisoning in the past, it seems they have made significant improvements since then. The meals were delicious with a delightful aroma of dashi broth, and breakfast was also luxurious. The amenities include regular ground coffee, which was surprisingly good and added to our enjoyment during the stay.

We stayed for three nights to enjoy river activities and a meal at the ayu fishing weir. Since our stay did not include dinner, it was convenient to adjust by eating out nearby or having light meals from a convenience store. As this was right after the earthquake, we refrained from playing in the nearby river, but there are many spots around the headwaters where you can enjoy the river, so we still had a wonderful time. We spent rich, relaxing moments watching the river from the Accommodation’s veranda and setting off fireworks in the garden. The Japanese-made fireworks sold at the Accommodation had a charming atmosphere, and we bought some as souvenirs as well. We are truly grateful for the thoughtful hospitality of the staff. They also played with our child, which allowed us as a couple to relax. Kosa Town is conveniently located, everyone is kind, and you can enjoy nature—there’s nothing more to ask for. We will visit again.

It was a very convenient location for sightseeing on the east side of Kyoto. The mini kitchen, microwave, and toaster provided in the Room were helpful for preparing breakfast and light meals. The atmosphere of the Room and the bed were also comfortable. I would like to use it again if I have another opportunity.

As there was a fireworks festival on my birthday (8/8), we stayed here. Both when I contacted them in advance and when they assisted us in person, the service was incredibly attentive, and above all, the female staff’s smiles were wonderful—the best. We chose a twin Room, so it was spacious and comfortable, but unfortunately the air conditioner didn’t cool well until sunset due to the western sun, and it was cooler out in the hallway. However, since only three groups were staying, we were able to use the private bath both that day and the next morning, which I had been worried about after reading other Reviews. Also, there was a shared freezer and ice machine in the lobby, which we really appreciated as drinkers. Every dish was delicious, and hot items were served hot—excellent. For light eaters like us, it was more than enough to leave us completely full. They even made dessert birthday-themed for us, which truly moved me. I’ve already recommended it to my friends!

The room and facilities were thoughtfully prepared, and the meals were incredibly wonderful. My friends who stayed with me were also deeply impressed. I would love to stay here again when visiting Daisen. Thank you very much!

This time, I chose to stay for two nights to relax at the accommodation. Driving to the accommodation at night, the road was narrow and winding, making me wonder if it was really ahead... but I remember feeling relieved upon arrival. (Later, I realized there was another slightly wider road available!) The entrance had a warm wooden mountain lodge feel, and everything was impeccably clean, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The meals and local craft beer were delicious. If I had to mention one thing, the shower hook in the bathroom was a bit high. It would be perfect if it were placed slightly lower (midway between the floor). Also, the yuzu-scented shampoo and body soap provided were incredibly soothing! I loved them so much that I'm planning to purchase them online. Above all else, the warm hospitality of the staff truly eased my travel fatigue. They were so friendly that we could have chatted forever! My son accompanied me on this trip and said he definitely wants to come back again! Stargazing and viewing sea clouds made this journey truly unforgettable! Thank you so much to all of your wonderful staff!
