This was my second stay. Located north of Kakegawa, it’s a very quiet Accommodation where you can truly relax. The baths and meals are excellent. The guest Rooms vary depending on which Room you choose. It’s a small Accommodation with few guests, so you can take it easy. The proprietress and everyone else are very kind, and you can feel at home without any hesitation. It’s a Ryokan that makes you want to come back again.

I made a direct Reservation and had a very pleasant stay with kind, attentive service. I was surprised by how steep the hill is, but the Onsen is free-flowing from the source and left my skin feeling silky smooth, and the meals were carefully prepared, lightly seasoned, and delicious. I’d love to come again.

Stayed with the One-Night Stay with Breakfast Plan. The bath in the Room was unexpectedly spacious and allowed me to enjoy the view while relaxing, which was very satisfying. I would love to visit again during cherry blossom or autumn foliage season. The breakfast was also satisfying in both content and taste.

We stayed here after descending from Mt. Naeba. Thank you for allowing us to park our car from the morning and for serving us dinner even though we arrived late. Although I am a local of Niigata, the dishes, such as Kanto-style kenchin soup and grilled sweetfish, were different from the traditional Uonuma style but deeply satisfying and nourishing after the hike. The warm bath was incredibly relaxing, and we rested soundly afterward. The three of us stayed in a spacious room that felt like a training camp atmosphere, making it very comfortable. Breakfast was just the right amount, and with a later check-out time, we fully enjoyed Naeba's refreshing morning air. We will definitely stay again if we climb nearby mountains in the future. When we arrived at the bus stop, Mr. Kuboji was there to pick us up by car. We hadn’t requested it, but since it was raining, his thoughtfulness made us very happy. The Room was spacious, and although three of us stayed, we were able to relax comfortably. The meals were delicious, and we had a wonderful time. The warm, home-like atmosphere was the best.

We stayed here at short notice so my son could attend a rugby training camp. Even with rising prices and during summer vacation, we were able to stay at a great rate—with dinner and breakfast included. Dinner (including chicken hot pot) came with an all-you-can-drink option, and we left completely satisfied. Breakfast was also just the right amount. The Onsen temperature was perfect as well. One thing that concerned me was the surroundings—not the building itself, but the area around it. It’s a shame, because the food and Onsen are excellent. With a bit of tidying up, I think it would feel much nicer. The scenery really matters—atmosphere and charm, too. With hopes for improvement, I’d like to stay again. Thank you as well for accommodating my son when his plan suddenly changed to No Meals Included.

It was a pension chosen for stargazing, but unfortunately, it rained. However, the scenery, the room, and the breakfast were all wonderful. I wished I could have stayed for a few more days. I became close with the owner couple and other guests we talked with, making it really hard to leave. I fell in love with Furano all over again! Definitely coming back next year.

We had a comfortable stay in a warm, homey atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, made with local ingredients. The pork shoulder steak was outstanding. We also enjoyed chatting with the owner and his wife, and had a wonderful time. At night, we could see a sky full of stars, and the location is close to Shibachiku Garden and Rokka no Mori. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

My first time in Minami-Izu—summer vacation at Yumigahama I stayed for two nights at this long-established Accommodation with over 50 years of history, and it turned into the best summer vacation ever. I’m truly grateful. This Accommodation is genuinely wonderful. The quality of the Japanese cuisine, finished by a head chef with an outstanding background, is simply breathtaking—in the best way. Honestly, it’s better than many high-end restaurants! The bath can also be reserved for private use free of charge, which is fantastic. Spacious and spotless, and you can use it anytime 24 hours a day. Above all, what makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is the care, presence, and almost unbelievable hospitality of the staff—led by the proprietress. Everyone is so kind, and it’s incredibly comfortable to be here. It brought back childhood memories of staying at my grandmother’s house during summer vacation… something I naturally remembered again as an adult. There’s something here that no great Hotel or Ryokan can replicate. It’s rare to find an experience where you can relax from the bottom of your heart like this. Next time I’ll visit during the Kawazu cherry blossoms and nanohana season!!

I stayed at this accommodation during a solo ski trip. Accommodations near the slopes during the season often avoid single guests or charge higher rates, but the price here was very reasonable, and the meals were excellent. I personally appreciated that dinner featured hot pot dishes with fewer fried items. The futon was fluffy and clean. This is an accommodation I would love to stay at again.

Stopped by during a tour to Chausuyama Kogen Road and Horaiji Mountain. Over 30 years ago, the current proprietress's father started this property by renovating their old family home. Nowadays, properties renovated from old houses are not uncommon, but the foresight to start it in that era is impressive. Urugi Village is a great place to spend a relaxing time in a rural setting. The proprietress's proud dishes of game meat and mushrooms, salt-grilled sweetfish, and horse sashimi were very satisfying. The gohei mochi served at the end was also quite filling. There was "Urugi Onsen Komadori no Yu" nearby, so we went there for a bath. Therefore, we did not use the bath at the property. It was a nice property, friendly to riders. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed here as a family of five on a family trip! The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, and we had a wonderful time. Due to our schedule, we only had dinner, but the food was so delicious that we wished we had tried breakfast as well. Everything was tasty, the portions were generous, and we were very satisfied. After the fish main course, we were also served a meat dish, and with the delicious rice, we couldn’t stop going back for seconds. The bath is an Onsen with great water quality, and it helped us relax and recover from our fatigue.

It was a small, cozy Accommodation. The hospitality was warm. I wish the amenities had been a bit more complete, but I enjoyed the breakfast. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I recently traveled to Hakone. I was unsure which Hotel or Ryokan to choose, but I decided on Mitake-san because they offered in-room dining that looked delicious in the photos and had a private open-air bath option. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by adorable cats and kind staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful and happy two days in Hakone. I hope to visit again within this year!

Thanks to researching and comparing many Hotels in Izu, we were able to find an Accommodation with wonderful hospitality. Both the meals and the Room exceeded our expectations, and we had a truly great time. Also, since we love music too, we ended up having an impromptu jam session with the owner—guitar, singing, and sanshin. It was far beyond anything we expected and incredibly fun! We think it’s a one-of-a-kind experience unique to this Accommodation.

We stayed as a couple. The Room and all Facilities were clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast featured seasonal dishes, all delicious and generously portioned. Above all, the hostess was friendly and fun. We even received a souvenir (seasonal manju) when we left. This trip became a wonderful one for us.

My spouse and I stayed for one night and two days. The Facility was very clean overall, and it was stocked with plenty of the latest appliances. The sauna came with unlimited firewood, and it heated up properly. The river right in front was cold and felt amazing. The provided shampoo and conditioner were also great. It’s a place that makes you want to come back regularly to refresh.

Our family of five stayed here and enjoyed the spaciousness of having the entire property to ourselves. There were two sets of bunk beds, designed like a secret hideout, which made our children very happy. The owner was kind and friendly, making us want to stay here again in the future.

We stayed on the first day of a long weekend. Despite our late arrival due to a change in plans, we were warmly welcomed and assisted with great care. We appreciated the thoughtful suggestion to prepare futons on the first floor for my elderly parents with weak legs. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and even my usually light-eating son had seconds of rice. It made us want to try dinner next time as well. We hope to stay longer during our next visit. Stayed during the October long weekend with a dinner-only plan. Despite the rainy weather, we were able to check in early and were guided to a lovely, clean twin room called "Takimi," where we could enjoy a view of the waterfall from the window. The bath was on the hotter side, but it was heated twice daily by the owner using firewood, which helped soothe our fatigue from hiking. Dinner at 6 PM was absolutely delicious, especially the Kawamata Shamo hot pot, which was outstanding. We enjoyed it to the fullest by pouring the leftover broth over rice! The soup was carefully made from chicken bones, a truly exquisite dish. It even came with horse sashimi, leaving both my husband and me extremely satisfied! Although we had to leave early due to our travel schedule, we were very well taken care of. The hospitality of the owner and hostess was truly touching. This is definitely one of the accommodations we would love to visit again.
