I have stayed at a wide range of Hotels throughout The whole country, from budget Hotels to luxury Hotels, and among Hotels in this price range, this one is without a doubt No. 1 in terms of hospitality and dinner. The quality you get for this Accommodation Fee is truly outstanding. [What I liked] Hospitality & service: As attentive as a luxury Hotel. Not only the front desk staff, but also the housekeeping staff greeted me politely and elegantly when we passed in the hallway, which made my stay very comfortable. Dinner: The bento prepared after ordering was freshly made, extremely delicious, and generous in variety—I was very satisfied! Room & cleanliness: The Room and unit bath were kept clean and comfortable. The restaurant at the breakfast venue also felt very clean. (Breakfast itself felt like a standard buffet.) [What I noticed] I was slightly bothered by the smell of the sanitized cups. Wi-Fi: To be honest, the Wi-Fi connection was unstable and not usable. I strongly recommend that future guests prepare pocket Wi-Fi or mobile data. There were only a few minor points I noticed, but they were far outweighed by the excellent hospitality and dinner quality. I would definitely like to stay here again!

Before the end of the rainy season, it rained and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji during our stay. The location was excellent, and both the dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious—we ate lots of great food, and beer was all-you-can-drink. The Onsen felt a bit lukewarm, and there was only an indoor bath with no open-air bath, but overall we were satisfied. In the Japanese-style Room, it was cold with the air conditioner and summer bedding, so we used a blanket from the closet. The pillows were low. The air conditioner was positioned out of sight, and the Room became quite dry while sleeping, so next time we turned on the humidifier in the corner of the Room. Being confused in the middle of the night was a small downside. There were water and coffee services at reception, an extension cord for charging in the Room, and Japanese sweets provided as well—these thoughtful details were much appreciated.

I’ve stayed at other Dormy Inn Hotels several times on business trips, and everything—cleanliness, the Onsen, and the meals—has always been excellent. This time we visited for a family trip, and my wife and child were thrilled. It made our trip truly enjoyable, and we’d love to stay again!

I stayed here for a fan trip. It was my first time traveling for an event and I was worried because I didn’t know the area, but the hotel was very close to the nearest station and easy to find. Getting around was convenient, there was also a convenience store nearby, and although it was a single Room, it was clean, more spacious than I expected, and comfortable. If I had to mention something, there wasn’t a mirror at the desk—only one in the bathroom and a full-length mirror near the entrance door—so it was inconvenient for doing makeup. Also, the pillow felt thinner and firmer than expected, so I would have preferred a slightly fuller pillow. If possible, I’d be happy if you could install a makeup mirror on the wall by the desk or make one available to borrow. Other than that, including the service, I was satisfied and would like to stay again.

It was a quiet, refined Accommodation with a calm atmosphere and no unnecessary extravagance. The staff’s greetings and attentiveness were never intrusive, yet their care reached every detail. The cuisine was excellent, each piece of tableware was beautiful, and the Onsen water was truly outstanding.

This was an Accommodation I had been interested in for some time. The hot water was pleasantly warm, so I could soak and relax at length. The meals were excellent, and I also ordered grilled sesame tofu as an extra. It was exquisite. Overall, the service was very good, and I would like to visit again.

The round-trip Shuttle Service was available, which we really appreciated. It’s in a quiet location, so we were able to relax. All the staff we met were polite and provided excellent service. As others have mentioned, the meals were the best we’ve had among all Kyoritsu Group properties we’ve visited. Since spiny lobster was unavailable due to the closed season, abalone sashimi was served instead—everything tasted great, and the portion was surprisingly generous. One small concern: right after check-in, at the open-air area of the rock-bath public bath (toward the back), there were quite large dead insects (beetles and moths). Given the natural surroundings it may be unavoidable, but I’d appreciate it if that area could also be checked more carefully.

It was a very relaxing Accommodation. Although the building has a sense of history, it was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, so we enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The staff kindly accommodated many of our requests, and we truly appreciate it. Of course, the service was excellent! The meals were also delicious, including Yonezawa beef filet steak and shabu-shabu. The semi-open-air bath in the Room was supplied with natural hot spring water, and the quality of the water was wonderful. It is an Accommodation that made us want to come back for a Multiple Night Stay.

Everyone was extremely kind and attentive. The Room was clean, and the Onsen temperature was just right, so we were very satisfied. There was a wide variety of dishes; in particular, the tempura made with mountain vegetables looked great and tasted wonderful, and the grilled sweetfish was plump and delicious. It is a quiet Onsen town, but we were able to relax and were very satisfied.

We stayed as a couple during our summer vacation. It was a small Accommodation, but the Room was spacious and had a nostalgic atmosphere. The Room had an Onsen with a rock bath, and it was not too hot—very relaxing and pleasant. Dinner was delicious across the board, and the sashimi, especially flounder, was outstanding. All the staff were very kind and attentive, so we were able to relax and unwind. Thank you very much.

This was our first trip as a couple, and we made a Reservation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Since we’re not very experienced travelers, we were nervous at first, but the Ryokan staff were so kind and friendly that our worries quickly disappeared. I’m not usually comfortable with open-air baths, but I worked up the courage to try—and it was truly relaxing and soothing. The changing area was clean and easy to use as well. And the meals we had been looking forward to exceeded all expectations—I was genuinely satisfied from the bottom of my heart! Everything was delicious. There was venison tataki, which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it had no strong taste at all and was truly wonderful. Our attendant explained each dish carefully, which helped us appreciate the ingredients even more—thank you so much. What made us even happier was that they took photos for our anniversary and gave them to us as a gift when we left. The handwritten letter from the proprietress also deeply moved me. This is the first time my heart has felt this full—just like my stomach! We are filled with gratitude for everyone’s thoughtfulness, kindness, and warm support. We will definitely come back again! The hospitality felt more like a luxury Ryokan than a temple lodging. Our Room was upgraded to a special suite, and we were able to relax in the spacious “Hojo” Room overlooking an expansive garden. The shojin-ryori cuisine was beautifully presented and delicious throughout. After dinner, we took a short walk (about 3 minutes) to Danjo Garan. With bonfires lit and the area illuminated, we caught a glimpse of Kobo Daishi’s mandala world through sights such as Konpon Daito, Saito Pagoda, and Kondo Hall. The next morning, we joined the morning service from 6:00 a.m., which felt truly solemn and moving. The Dharma talk by Archbishop Miyata explained Buddhism from a global perspective with humor, making it easy to understand. I strongly feel that Koyasan is best experienced with an overnight stay. I stayed with my daughter at this accommodation. I chose it after reading reviews about its delicious cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The steamed abalone and simmered golden eye snapper recommended by the hostess, as well as the sashimi and other dishes, were truly delicious and visually stunning. There are three baths available for private use, allowing us to relax at our own pace. I would definitely love to visit again!

From the warm welcome to check-in, breakfast, and check-out, the service was truly pleasant at every moment. They even kept our stay history from four years ago, and I was genuinely impressed when they asked, “Would you like the same morning newspaper as last time?”—such thoughtful attention to detail. I also asked for photos many times, and every staff member kindly took them without hesitation. And the breakfast—what you expect from Brighton—was absolutely delicious and very satisfying! I understand renovations will be starting soon, and I’m truly looking forward to staying again at the newly refreshed Brighton Hotel.

This time, I stayed in a Heritage balcony Room. I wondered if it might be too hot this season, but the evening breeze was pleasant, and I was able to relax with drinks from room service. For dinner, I dined at Toh-Ka-Lin, and the next morning I had breakfast at Nouvelle Epoque. Everything—from delicious dining to the gym, spa, and pool—was available within the Hotel, so I could truly unwind and enjoy a genuinely luxurious stay. The entire property was clean and quiet throughout, and the staff’s hospitality struck the perfect balance: not too close or too distant, yet always attentive with thoughtful care. An unexpected issue came up during my stay, but even then the Hotel team responded with kindness and meticulous consideration. It reminded me once again of how exceptional Japanese Hotels are—especially Okura. I would love to visit again.

I stayed here on a solo trip. True to its name, Horyuji, this Accommodation was wonderful, letting me fully enjoy Buddhist statues and history throughout the entire property. I highly recommend the talk show and the Horyuji guided tour. The clean, calm Japanese-style room and the kaiseki cuisine starting with dashi were excellent. The guests also tended to be older, so I was able to relax peacefully at a slow pace. I’d like to visit regularly.

I stayed here for sightseeing in Kanazawa. Although I took a bus from the station, it was a very convenient Hotel—Higashi Chaya District, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and plenty of lunch and dinner options were all within walking distance.\nIt was my first stay, but my friend who stayed with me chose it right away after saying, “Nono is recommended.” The Room was easy to use, clean, and I was very satisfied. The large public bath was also very clean.\nI also enjoyed the late-night soba and was extremely satisfied. Next time I’d like to try the buffet. I will definitely stay again, and I would love to recommend it to other friends as well.\nThank you very much for your hospitality.

My husband, his older sister, and her grandchild—three seniors—visited with our first-year junior high school son. My husband and I also stayed here seven years ago. The weather looked uncertain that day, so we moved our ropeway plans to the next day and arrived early. We were able to use the Onsen and relax until check-in, enjoying the Onsen at a leisurely pace. The food was beautifully prepared, and everyone was impressed. My koji class instructor uses the phrase “food that feels good on your stomach,” and this was exactly that. My sister-in-law is 83 and kept saying how delicious everything was; even though she said she couldn’t possibly eat that much, she finished it all. Breakfast was also enjoyable with both a bento option and a buffet. Our Room had been renovated and was very clean. All of the staff were young, energetic, and refreshing. Their language was polite as well, and we had a very pleasant two-day stay. I mentioned this while chatting with the staff—and then carelessly added that “everyone is cute,” which I now regret as an inappropriate comment about appearance.

It was my first stay in a while, and it remains a wonderful Hotel. The approach leading straight from the public road to the main entrance is elegant and picturesque. Since it opened in 1935, the Facilities are not the latest, but that is exactly what gives it a unique charm. The staff’s service was also impeccable. For dinner, we enjoyed classic French cuisine rather than today’s modern fusion style—it was delicious. As is true of Unzen’s tourist areas in general, this historic destination is rich in nature, and I imagine maintaining both the Facilities and the gardens must be challenging for those in tourism. I’m sure there are many difficulties, but I truly hope you will continue to preserve this beautiful Hotel.

We were able to stay at a great price thanks to a Yahoo campaign. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was very comfortable and we were completely satisfied. The meals were an elaborate kaiseki course. Of course, our dog stayed with us too. At the new dog run, we relaxed while listening to birds like Japanese bush warblers and even dozed off. The bath is on the small side, but the free-flowing Onsen helped relieve our fatigue. They also provided three types of shampoo, and the ReFa hair dryer left my hair smooth and silky. Best of all was the friendly service from a young Japanese woman with long hair. Thank you very much.
