With a steak late-night snack included, I think this price is very reasonable. Traveling with my dog, it was a very satisfying trip. I’ve found an Accommodation I’d love to visit again!

This is a wonderful Accommodation where you can relax and enjoy dinner while listening to jazz. The host and his wife were very welcoming, and we had a truly comfortable stay. Everything at dinner was delicious, and the Akitakomachi rice balls at breakfast were outstanding. We would definitely love to stay again.

I used this accommodation for a refreshing break after starting work during the first three days of the New Year. Having previously enjoyed the large public bath on a day trip, I was looking forward to my stay. The interior has an atmosphere of old Kumamoto, with a nostalgic map of Kumamoto Prefecture from before the Heisei-era municipal mergers. The onsen features two private baths for guests, available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The light mineral quality of the water warmed me to my core. Even if you choose a room-only plan, there are vending machines inside and a convenience store within a 10-minute walk, making it convenient for shopping when you have time.

A guesthouse run by a kind couple, Guesthouse Rin. Their explanations are easy to understand, and the Room is kept very clean. Having a private Room is also a big plus. I stayed here to visit the Minami Cherry Blossom and Nanohana Festival. It’s about a 3-minute drive to the nanohana fields, and about 7 minutes to the main venue at Roadside Station Shimogamo Onsen Yunohana, so the location is great. I got around on my own bike, but rental bicycles are also available. It gets dark at night, so I traveled by car.

Due to a typhoon, I had to change my pre-hike accommodation at short notice, and I’m glad I stayed here—the Onsen was wonderful, and I was able to rest well for the hike the next day. They also let me bathe after the hike, which was fantastic! If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.

Thank you for your hospitality. Previously, I used to make a quick return to Tokyo after the Niigata races, but this time I stayed overnight on Sunday. It was a traditional accommodation, and staying in a tatami room for the first time in decades brought back nostalgic feelings. The onsen was great, but above all, the meals (both breakfast and dinner) were outstanding. I would love to stay here again during my next visit for the Niigata races.

I stayed using the Backpacker Plan. The Room had a refrigerator and an electric kettle, making it very comfortable! The toilet was shared, but it was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. During the Obon holiday period, when Accommodation rates were high everywhere, it was great to stay at such an affordable price. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity!

Completely satisfied with everything. The meals, especially breakfast and dinner, were luxurious and delicious, and I finished every bite. I would recommend this place to friends and will definitely stay here again.

My mother stayed at this facility to celebrate her 77th birthday, a special milestone. Everyone was kind and provided very polite service, warmly welcoming us. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared, with attention to every dish and sauce. Everything was delicious from start to finish, leaving us feeling truly happy. My mother was also very pleased and had a wonderful time. We would love to visit Auberge Mermaid again in the future. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories!

We stayed with four friends. Other than parking, we had no issues, and it was very affordable and excellent as an Accommodation. It’s also convenient, with the teahouse district and other areas just a short drive away. Below are the good points and areas for improvement. [Good points] - No check-in/check-out procedures required - Air conditioning on each floor - Futons and bedding were already laid out - Careful follow-up by email, etc. - The interior has a traditional feel and is clean [Areas for improvement] - The parking location is hard to find It would be helpful to have a map showing the exact parking location in advance by email or on the website.

We stayed as a family of three (a couple and our son). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The dishes were beautifully prepared, including local ingredients. The drinks were also great—we wish we had enjoyed them a bit more. The atmosphere with the cats was lovely. We also enjoyed walking around the area, and we were lucky to have good weather. Driving access was a little difficult during the last 10 minutes.

The Room was smaller than I expected, but each amenity in the Room was wonderful. The owner was very friendly, and it made me realize how different this kind of stay is from a Hotel. We could also see the starry sky clearly from the rooftop! The only inconvenience was that the dryer on the same floor was out of order.

I absolutely adored the owner—I was completely smitten. They prepared everything for us, from the BBQ setup to a Goemon-style bath and even a mochi-pounding experience, and we had an amazing time! With board games inside and unique Rooms, this Accommodation offers more than you can enjoy in just one day. We’ll be back.

The room is clean. Breakfast is delicious. The front desk staff provides polite guidance and has a pleasant demeanor. I look forward to staying again.

We stayed here during the Golden Week holidays. In a quiet space far removed from the bustle of everyday life, we were able to relax at our own pace while soaking in the private Onsen. Thoughtful touches could be found throughout the Accommodation, and both dinner and breakfast were heartfelt and delicious, featuring an abundance of Shizuoka’s seafood and mountain produce. The sake tasting was excellent as well, and we also appreciated that the kamameshi we couldn’t finish was carefully made into rice balls for us. While eliminating anything unnecessary, the Accommodation still felt luxurious, and we truly enjoyed the attentive yet never overbearing service. Thank you very much!

It was a very clean Ryokan. I could walk around barefoot comfortably and had a pleasant stay. They provided black tabi socks for indoor use, but since they were unisex, the men’s size seemed small (lol), so I stayed barefoot. The meals were just as described in the Reviews—very satisfying. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. I’d love to stay again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

We stayed at the Hotel in late November during the peak of autumn foliage with our dog. The interior was charming, featuring antique furniture, beautiful paintings on the walls, chandeliers on the ceiling, and dried flowers in the washroom and restroom. The bedroom had two king-sized beds and fluffy futons for humans, while our dog enjoyed a True Sleeper bed. The living room had underfloor heating and was impeccably clean. The café on the first floor was beautifully furnished with exquisite tableware, and a Bechstein grand piano casually placed added an elegant touch. Although we didn’t have a chance to try the café menu this time, everything looked deliciously well-prepared—we’d love to try it next time! With its convenient location within walking distance of Heian Shrine and Okazaki Park, as well as parking available for guests with dogs, it’s perfect for pet owners. Plus, their adorable mascot dog Mon-chan is delightful! This is truly a Hotel that makes you want to come back again!

The budget was slightly over, but I decided based on reviews saying it’s close to Kyoto ROHM Theatre. Chion-in Temple and Yasaka Shrine were also nearby, allowing us to visit before the 11:00 AM checkout. The separate toilet and bathroom were a big plus, providing a relaxing experience that relieved our fatigue. The bed was very comfortable as well. The staff were friendly, and I would love to stay here again next time.
