Because it is close to To-ji Temple, we chose to stay here. The front desk staff kindly provided detailed guidance on the parking area, advised us that we might need an umbrella based on the evening weather forecast, explained how to get to sightseeing spots, and gave a thorough overview of the Facility. We stayed here for sightseeing in Kyoto with my father and had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also delicious. The large public bath was wonderful as well—it felt great after a long day of walking. In the morning, my father and I were able to take a walk to To-ji Temple, and we enjoyed a great trip in Kyoto together as parent and child. Thank you very much. For these reasons, I give 5 stars across the board.

I stayed here for business, but next time I’d love to enjoy it for a private trip. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. We were very satisfied with both the bath and the meals, and the staff were very kind. We had a relaxing stay. The Room was spacious, and we were able to unwind comfortably.

There were thoughtful touches throughout, such as a basket for carrying towels and a change of clothes to the bath, and tabi socks provided for use inside the property. The food was also delicious.

It was so lush and green that it hardly felt like Osaka, and it was incredibly relaxing. The staff were kind, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

On the day of our stay, you kindly offered to change our Room to one in the main building with less walking for my wife, who has difficulty walking. We are both very grateful for your help. The Room was also clean and well maintained, and we were able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing time.

My late wife used to stay here often, so I stayed for one night this time while attending her memorial service. I stayed in Room 212. The air conditioning cooled well, but the operating noise was loud. Also, the remote control for the room lights did not work, and there were some lights that would not turn on even when using the switch. I recommend that these be inspected and repaired.

It was my first time visiting Shodoshima. The two-meal Plan at this price is an excellent value. Sashimi was served with five different ways to enjoy it (local soy sauce, olive oil, etc.), and every dish made with local ingredients was very satisfying. The Facility feels a bit dated, but the Room, the bath, the views from the restaurant, and the wonderful service from all the staff greatly increased our overall satisfaction. Thank you very much for taking care of us. I would like to stay again.

I first stayed here in January 2026, and this was my second visit. This time I returned in the season of fresh greenery, and along the several dozen meters from the accommodation building to the separate Onsen building, white citrus blossoms were in full bloom. I was able to enjoy their sweet fragrance while soaking in the Onsen. It’s wonderful that each season brings new discoveries. The meals were consistently high quality, and I was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

Free Shuttle Service is available from Kawaguchiko Station. (Pickup requires a Reservation in advance; drop-off can be reserved at check-in.) Both the exterior and interior show their age, but the Room and other areas are well cleaned and kept tidy. The sink felt a bit dated. The Room key was delightfully nostalgic (laughs). I didn’t use the outdoor bath, so I can’t comment on it, but the Room I stayed in had a shower only. It seemed newly renovated and was very clean. (The provided shampoos include both DHC and Ichikami!) Lotion, emulsion, and makeup remover were POLA amenities. I ordered both dinner and breakfast; the portions were generous and everything was delicious! I really appreciated that it wasn’t buffet-style. Hot dishes were served hot. There is a laundry area; detergent costs 100 yen, but the drum washing machines are free to use! (There are two machines.) The staff’s service was excellent! So it felt more like a Ryokan than a Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality during my stay!

I booked this as a stopover for the middle of our Multiple Night Stay trip without knowing much about the area, and it was wonderful! The Room was spacious, and the futons were already laid out in the Japanese-style room. The bedding was very comfortable—perhaps with a mattress included—and I slept well without any body aches. The Onsen Facility was also very clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, and my wife and children were very happy. Thank you!

Both the space and the hospitality were very comfortable. At the end of dinner, rice and eel were served, but the eel was tough and the seasoning wasn’t to my taste. The rice was very delicious. As a Diamond member gift, I received rice. I plan to cook it in a clay pot. The bath is on the small side, but it was very clean with a faint sulfur scent—truly the best Onsen I’ve ever experienced. I was worried because I had facial allergies, but instead the itching went away and the redness subsided. Once again, I was impressed by the power of nature. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

This is a wonderful Accommodation that blends beautifully into Kakunodate’s townscape. The staff were very kind and helped us in many situations throughout our stay. Thanks to them, we had a memorable and enjoyable trip. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We visited during the July long weekend with our two children, aged 9 and 5. As soon as we entered the Room, we were amazed by the view from the living room. That alone made the trip worthwhile. Everything in the Facility felt spotless, the view from the bath was wonderful, and there was also a washer-dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. We could truly live here. The activities were also incredibly well organized, and our children had an amazing experience. We harvested vegetables together, made pasta using what we picked, and melted beeswax to make herbal lip balm. Our younger child especially loved getting to actually pound the meat, coat it in flour, dip it in egg, and cover it with breadcrumbs. There’s no way I could give anything other than a perfect 5. We would love to visit again.

The Room was very clean, and we were able to eat our fill at the meals! After about a 1-minute walk through the forest, you can reach the sea right away. However, the sea can be a bit rough, so you need to be careful—but since there was no one else around, we were able to enjoy it to the fullest!! I’m not sure if it’s privately run, but the staff who helped us were very kind and made us feel comfortable. With warm hospitality, delicious food, and a clean glamping site, we had two very satisfying days! Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip. We have a small child and caused you some trouble in various ways, but the hostess always helped us with a smile. Not only the barbecue Facility, but also the well-maintained garden, the interior, and the delicious coffee—everything showed such thoughtful care, and we were truly impressed. Enjoying the chef’s delicious pizza and an abundant barbecue platter while looking out at Mt. Fuji was amazing. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

I stay here when I’m on business in Aomori. The free ramen at night was perfect for a light bite. The ice cream after relaxing in the large public bath was especially enjoyable. The omelet at breakfast the next morning was also delicious. I’d like to stay here again.

Perhaps because it was the hot season, the Onsen was pleasantly uncrowded every time we went, which was wonderful! There were many types of baths, and we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. The Room felt a bit dated and small, but we only needed it for sleeping. The staff were kind, and when we left we even received a handwritten thank-you letter—it truly warmed our hearts. I almost don’t want to share this, but I can see how hard everyone at the Hotel is working… Relax on the lovely terrace (it’s cool, and the breeze feels wonderful. Free drinks are a nice bonus, too). Unwind in the Onsen (the open-air bath is inside the building, so it stays pleasantly cool in the shade. The large windows open fully for an airy feel, and you can relax while looking out at the forest). The walkway to the dining area feels like stepping into another world—very inspiring—and of course, the food is delicious. On our way home, we had soft-serve ice cream at Takasu Farmers in Hirugano Kogen. It was great value and incredibly tasty. We also bought some lily flowers to take home. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
