Both the meals and the Onsen were excellent. During our one-night, two-day stay, we were able to relax and unwind. The carefully prepared meals were delicious, and the portions were just right—we finished everything without leaving any. The Onsen was available 24 hours a day, and the gentle water left our skin feeling smooth. It was an Accommodation we would love to visit again. The only reason I rated the Facility 4 out of 5 was that there weren’t enough power outlets in the Room, so we had to take turns charging our phones.

Thank you for your hospitality. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again. It is located right in front of Lake Shirakaba, and we really enjoyed a quiet early-morning walk by the lake. We came to see the daylilies, but there were plenty of other things to enjoy as well. The owner couple were warm and welcoming, which made us feel at ease. The dinner staff were also efficient and cheerful, making our time even more enjoyable.

It seemed very new and was extremely clean. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, which was great.

We stayed here for a birthday trip to Shikoku! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the view. Being able to enjoy that scenery in our own private space was truly bliss. We were lucky with the weather, and the sunset, starry sky, and sunrise—every time of day—were the best views we’ve ever seen! The Room was also very stylish and spotless, and it made us want to stay forever. We chose a meal-included Plan where everything is placed in the fridge/freezer. Dinner had a very fresh and delicious salad, but the rest felt more like bento-box quality. Breakfast looked exactly like the photos—so stylish—and having it with that view felt like a dream! The soup and bagel were delicious as well. For this price, this space offers incredible value—we’re extremely satisfied! We definitely want to come back again! Thank you for an unforgettable memory.

I stayed here on the first day of my trip to Rebun Island and Rishiri Island for the first time in about 25 years. The front desk staff were very kind, and check-in was smooth and pleasant. They upgraded me to a Room with windows on two sides and a great view, which felt like an excellent value. As for the baths, only one side has an open-air bath and they rotate between men’s and women’s use. More than that, the washing area on the side without the open-air bath is L-shaped and narrow, so it can be difficult to wash comfortably when it’s crowded. The hot spring water quality was very good. The best part was the food: there were so many delicious dishes—sea urchin, octopus shabu-shabu, grilled scallops, and more—and I was completely satisfied. Truly Rebun Island quality. Breakfast was also excellent, including rice topped with a special egg with a pale yolk from rice-fed hens. The next day I took a sightseeing bus and then boarded the ferry in the afternoon; being right in front of both the bus stop and ferry terminal made it extremely convenient to leave my luggage at the hotel. If I visit Rebun Island again, I would definitely stay here again.

It was a pleasant surprise, as there are few reasonably priced Hotels that serve delicious coffee. The bathtub is small, but it is deep enough to soak up to your shoulders, which I was happy with.

It was conveniently located near Sano Station, convenience stores, and restaurants. The building is old, but it was clean. I had to leave early in the morning and couldn’t have breakfast, which was a shame, but it looked delicious.

Although we stayed only one night, we had a very comfortable time. Even though we arrived a little early, the staff kindly accommodated us and lent us snorkeling gear and a pop-up tent free of charge. We enjoyed spending time until evening at the nearest beach, which was beautiful, quiet, and calm. The Facility was well cleaned, and thanks to the peaceful surroundings we were able to relax. The Ishigaki beef burger the next morning was also delicious—I’d like to try making it at home.

This Hotel is located at the top of a narrow mountain road. It was very quiet, and the soothing music playing throughout the Hotel made it even more relaxing. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, but if there hadn’t been any fog, we would have been able to see the horizon from our Room and enjoy an even more wonderful view. 　The meals were carefully prepared, and both the fish and roast beef were served with vegetables that paired perfectly with each dish—everything was delicious. The dessert was a yogurt mousse (I’m not sure if that’s correct), but it was excellent. We stayed as a family of four, including our son in his 20s, and everyone left feeling full—though we did ask for extra bread. 　We were told they host only three groups per day, and we were able to use the spacious private family bath as well. It was a stay that freed us from everyday busyness and truly felt like an escape. 　The interior furnishings throughout the Hotel were also thoughtfully arranged and had an elegant feel. 　If we have the chance, we would love to visit again. It felt like an Accommodation focused on visiting nearby public baths, and the staff were very kind, which left a great impression. The canned beer and highballs available for purchase at the front desk were also reasonably priced. That said, a few things stood out: - I assume the Onsen is naturally low-temperature, but the open-air bath felt lukewarm. Since it was midsummer, I apologize if that temperature was intentional. - The Room with a private open-air bath was spacious and wonderful, but there was no wash bucket or chair for the bath, no sugar or milk/creamer for coffee, and no glass beer tumbler. It was a bit inconvenient. - The Wi-Fi only worked near the Room entrance. What impressed me most this time was the live performance by volunteers after dinner. From a large song list, they played our requested songs on saxophone, piano, and percussion—it was truly excellent and very moving.

I stayed in Room Ichiban. With its high ceilings and spacious feel, the dragon painting really stood out—it was a wonderful Room. The futon was very comfortable, and I slept soundly. Every meal was delicious! I left completely full. The Kutani ware tableware was also adorable! It made me want to come back and stay again soon. Now I’m wondering which Room to choose next time~

The room was warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Tissues were conveniently placed in both the room and the washroom. A small potted plant in the toilet added a nice touch. Thoughtful hospitality could be felt everywhere. As a side note unrelated to the accommodation, please be aware that there are limited options for dinner within walking distance (most places only operate during lunchtime).

Aoki Ryokan is a charming blend of Western and Japanese styles, with its blue roof and distinctive design—an Accommodation that gave me a great feeling even before I stepped inside. Fresh flowers were casually arranged throughout, the floors were spotless, and everything was impeccably clean. Perhaps because it is an old Ryokan, the atmosphere felt wonderfully balanced and calm. I usually suffer from insomnia when staying away from home, but here I felt completely at ease and slept very deeply—something that surprised even me. I also enjoyed listening to the proprietress’s stories (including one about Kunio Inatani, a pioneer of skiing in Japan) and savoring meals filled with mountain vegetables. It was truly relaxing both physically and mentally. As this is a historic Ryokan, old tools once used are also displayed; I was especially struck by the large saw used to cut ice from Lake Onuma, which made me imagine how demanding that work must have been at the time. We visited to see the moss phlox at Hitsujiyama Park. The Accommodation offered a free stargazing tour, and we had a wonderful time. Every staff member was truly hospitable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Dinner was outstanding from appetizers to dessert, both in presentation and flavor. The herb-roasted chicken main was so delicious I could have eaten several servings. It was also great that the portions of pizza and pasta could be adjusted depending on how hungry we were. The bath was spacious as well, and it helped us relax after a long drive. We also appreciated having items like clothespins and extension cords available in the hallway for guests to use freely. The homemade jam at breakfast was delicious too—I ended up eating too much bread. We’d love to visit again during the snowy season.

We visited with five families of friends. We were very satisfied. Both the fire-starting experience and stargazing became wonderful memories.

We stayed as a couple in our 50s. Rather than a Hotel, it feels more like a charming pension-style place, which suits it well. The front desk gave the impression that they may be operating more efficiently than before, and that’s perfectly fine. The staff were all ladies older than us, so the pace was a bit relaxed—but in an endearing way. It felt warm and comfortable. The Room was spacious, with Lake Biwa stretching out beyond the window. Since this area tends to feel cold, even in April they had a heater and blankets prepared. We chose the Omi beef steak course. From the photos I wondered if it might not be enough, but it was very filling and satisfying. For breakfast, we were happy to be able to choose either Japanese or Western style. The curry was especially delicious! The bath is not an Onsen, but it was kept very clean. We went to see the Osaki cherry blossoms by the inlet. Next time, I’d love to visit again during the season when the metasequoia trees are at their best.

It was a cozy accommodation, and with fewer guests, I was able to relax. The boar hot pot for dinner was delicious and paired well with the white miso. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed at TATEGU -YA for two nights. It was spacious and comfortable for two people. The renovation was wonderful, thoughtfully incorporating valuable carvings as well as pillars, doors, and glass windows originally used by the joinery shop into everyday living. Compared to our last visit (three years ago), we felt there were more younger people around town, giving it a lively atmosphere. This is an Accommodation and a town we look forward to visiting again.
