We use our own natural hot spring source that gushes forth from within the premises, known as "Bijin no Yu" (Beautiful Skin Water) for its excellent quality. From this nickname came the house name Tanpei, later renamed “Tanpei,” and it has since been operated as the oldest Accommodation in Tango Town to this day. The spirit of hospitality of “Sumiya no Hei-san” has been passed down through six generations and continues today.
