We had a wonderful family trip during the New Year. The meals were incredible, with an abundance of crab and sashimi, followed by tempura and chawanmushi just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more! The final dish of zosui was absolutely perfect. The private baths at night allowed our family to relax together comfortably. The staff provided such warm and welcoming service that it felt like returning home. A special thank you to the driver who kindly took us on an outdoor hot spring tour despite the heavy snow! We will definitely visit again.

We stayed with two children. Toys were prepared in our Room, and the kids had a great time. The temperature of the large public bath at the Accommodation was just right, and even infants could bathe without any issues. We booked the No Meals Included Plan, but we had dinner at the dining area on the second floor. High chairs for children were available, and there were plenty of menu options that kids could enjoy. The staff at the Accommodation were very warm and welcoming, which we truly appreciated.

These days, it’s rare to find an Accommodation without foreign staff, and the meals here are very carefully prepared using local ingredients. There are many baths, and they will even let you reserve a large open-air bath that was apparently once used as a mixed-gender bath. It’s an excellent open-air bath and highly recommended. There is also an open-air bath a short walk from the Accommodation, but I was told it can only be used during daylight hours because bears have been seen in the area. The building has the feel of an old Ryokan and shows some wear in places, but it is kept clean and well maintained. The resident cat has changed over time; when I asked the proprietress, she brought her out on a leash. Perhaps because she is well loved, she likes people and will purr even when meeting you for the first time.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

We were able to relax and enjoy our stay with our two dogs. Because the bath in the Room is a free-flowing Onsen, we could soak whenever we wanted, which was very satisfying. The meals were also delicious, and we had a wonderful time. This Accommodation is perfect for enjoying the Onsen at a leisurely pace and unwinding with great food.

The Room was spacious, bright, and clean, and we were very satisfied. We stayed as a group of six across two generations including children, and the 2LDK layout was perfect. Since two of us are smokers, we were also able to relax and smoke in the Room, which made everything even better. We would like to stay again. We checked various sites, but in the end IKYU offered the best price and felt the most reliable.

The Room was spacious enough for a solo stay and very clean, so I could relax comfortably. The Onsen was a bit hot for me, but it felt wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. If I visit the Iwaki area again, I would definitely like to stay here again.

My husband’s favorite Accommodation. This time, the three of us stayed here. As always, the plentiful meals and the Onsen were flawless. The Room has also been renovated and is very clean. If I had to mention one thing, I wish the bathing hours were a little longer. We go in about three times, but there isn’t quite enough time to relax at night. In the morning, we can soak at a leisurely pace, which we really appreciate. We will surely stay again. Thank you very much.

This trip was mainly for the Onsen, and the bath was excellent. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to come again, but it’s an Accommodation that makes me want to stay again.

We’ve been staying here during the Obon holiday season since last year! Above all, the meals are delicious! My daughter, who is a picky eater, was so happy and said it was truly delicious—she even ate my portion as well. The property has a long history, but the Room is clean, and we really appreciate the thoughtful touches such as providing water. All of the staff are polite, and their smiles are wonderful. We’d love to stay again next year. Thank you very much!

Soaking in the Onsen surrounded by nature is truly uplifting. Just an hour from Nagoya is also a plus.

It’s very close to JR Futsukaichi Station, so you can walk there even with luggage such as a suitcase. A flashy sign that looks like an imitation of Thomas is the landmark. The staff member who assisted us at check-in was also a foreigner, and was very polite. The Room feels like a studio apartment. There is a shoe cabinet, a washing machine, and the toilet is separate; the bathroom is a unit bath. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The closet is also large. There’s a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, and sink, so you can cook if you want. Detergent for both laundry and dishwashing is provided—please feel free to use it. The bed is a queen-size low bed. The mattress was as soft as a waterbed; if you like soft mattresses it’s great, but if you prefer something firmer it might hurt your lower back. There are mirrors in the bathroom or on the closet—two full-length mirrors—so when doing your hair or makeup (especially using a hair iron), there wasn’t an outlet nearby and there was no extension cord, which made it a bit difficult to style my hair right at the limit of the cord length. An outlet near the mirror would be convenient (though outlets near water may be unsafe). It’s inexpensive, clean, and convenient with a convenience store nearby. I’d like to stay again.

My daughter stayed with two friends she hadn't seen in a long time. They said the private bath was excellent. The breakfast was also very luxurious and delicious. The owner was very kind and recommended great restaurants for dinner since they hadn’t included it in their stay, making their experience even more enjoyable. They were extremely happy with their time here.

We stayed here with three households of our children to celebrate a 60th birthday. Dinner was served in a private dining room, and we were allowed to decorate it, so our family had a wonderful time together. They even lent us a red celebratory vest and prepared a festive ball for the occasion, which made the celebration truly exciting. They also took photos for us, and on departure they gave us not just one print but enough for each household—such thoughtful service in every way. The meals, the Onsen, and the service were all outstanding, making it a truly unforgettable memory. Thank you very much. We are very glad we chose this Accommodation.

To drive along National Route 252 by the Tadami Line, I made a Reservation at this Accommodation in Aizu-Yanaizu, the gateway town. At first, only the No Meals Included Plan was available, but after calling to confirm eligibility for Fukushima travel support discounts, they kindly changed it to a Plan with both dinner and breakfast. The location is excellent in central Yanaizu, and you can park across the street at a free public parking lot. On arrival in the lobby, I was welcomed with an iced coffee welcome drink, and arranging a time for the private open-air bath as well as meal times went smoothly. My Room was a 6-tatami Japanese-style room on the third floor (no elevator). It was more than spacious enough for one person, very clean, and equipped with a sink and refrigerator. The toilet is shared (separate men’s/women’s) on the same floor. For Onsen bathing, there is a private rooftop open-air bath and separate men’s/women’s indoor baths on the fourth floor. The open-air bath feels handmade and doesn’t offer much of a view, but what truly impressed me was the indoor bath: fresh water continuously overflowing from the source (free-flowing), a cloudy sodium chloride spring with abundant volume at just the right temperature—far better quality than expected. Dinner is served at a modern soba restaurant created by renovating a storehouse behind the Accommodation. The main Sarashina soba had great texture and was excellent overall, including the warm chicken-and-burdock dipping broth. That said, it was disappointing that the appetizer tempura had gone cold, and I felt that adding something local such as basashi (horse sashimi) would make it even more satisfying. In that case, choosing No Meals Included and ordering freely from the restaurant menu could also be a good option. Breakfast is prepared in a private room next to the lobby; along with juice or soup, you receive a plate centered on bread and rice. Service is attentive, though opinions may differ on value for money depending on expectations. At 11,000 yen at full price it invites comparison with nearby Accommodations around here; however after discounts my satisfaction level was more than adequate. Above all else،the cleanliness throughout иandthe owner’s sincere、warm hospitality were outstanding—an Accommodation I can recommend even to Tadami Line travelers without а car.

Our annual train trip with three couples… this year, Done: Yufuin!! After careful consideration, we visited Pension Naganogou for a preview. The cute Room with neatly arranged beds had a great feel. The baths were private and available anytime, and the open-air bath was the best!! For dinner, all guests gathered on the wooden deck, each around our own table. The main dishes included Bungo beef and charcoal-grilled local chicken, along with salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, dango soup, and many small side dishes—everything was delicious. For dessert, the homemade pudding made by the hostess was amazing. We could also enjoy breakfast outside, making this a very satisfying preview visit. We truly appreciated the Shuttle Service to Yufuin Station as well. We’ll be back in October. Thank you very much.

Three friends and I stayed here. Although it is a guesthouse, we were glad the Room had a private bath and toilet. Dinner came with crab and grilled fish and was delicious, and we were very satisfied with breakfast as well. We would like to stay again.

This time we came to Yugawara to see fireflies. It was truly magical and moving. Although this Accommodation is old, the bathroom and water facilities in the Room have been nicely renovated, and there are four private Onsen baths, so you can relax and enjoy them at your own pace. The meals can be served in your Room and were very delicious. We chose the smaller course, but it was more than enough for us seniors. However, perhaps because the building is old, we were quite bothered by noises such as footsteps at night and woke up several times. Next time, we would like to stay in a Room with a private bath. It had been a while since I last visited Hamamura Onsen. Ryofuan had a dignified presence and felt rich in history, but the town itself seemed a bit quiet. The value for money was great, the Onsen water was pleasantly soft, and I was satisfied with the meals, but it was disappointing that the Room refrigerator wasn’t useful.
