We stayed for one night and two days as a family of four. The dinner course, featuring crab and Tajima beef, exceeded our expectations with its luxurious offerings, and the finishing rice porridge was exceptional. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, leaving nothing to be desired. We visited all six Onsen spots, but we found the indoor bath here to be the best. The option to choose your favorite yukata was a nice touch, making it stand out from the standard ones provided by other Ryokan. The service was excellent, allowing us to enjoy a very pleasant stay. Coming from Hiroshima, we hope to visit again someday!

We found this Accommodation while looking for a place that serves meals in your Room. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! The day before our stay was our child’s birthday, so we asked if you could prepare a cake, and you kindly agreed. It became a truly memorable day—thank you so much! The staff even sang along with us, and we are deeply grateful for everyone’s warmth. As it is an older Accommodation, there were some noises that we noticed at times, but the hospitality was wonderful, and we are very glad we stayed. The private family bath was also spacious and very relaxing!

We stayed as a family of four. The open-air bath on the rooftop was a natural hot spring, and it was very pleasant. Since there were fewer reservations, we were able to use the private bath twice. The dinner course used local ingredients and was very delicious, and we were full after ordering additional cheese fondue. The master's explanation of the cuisine and onsen was very detailed, which doubled our enjoyment. There is a footbath in front of the hotel, and it is also close to the famous open-air bath "Sunayu," so we were able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. Also, there are three cute cats inside the nearby Onsen Museum. It's a must-see for cat lovers.

Close to the business destination and the most affordable option in the area, I chose this accommodation for a rare opportunity to stay at Arima Onsen. Although I was slightly concerned due to unclear reviews and parking inquiries beforehand, the customer service was excellent—polite and kind. They also promptly issued a proof of stay upon request, which was very helpful. Guests staying at Hataya can use the onsen at Kamioobo, and their guidance regarding this was very thorough and pleasant. The onsen itself is old but atmospheric, located in an underground-like setting. Since it was late at night when I visited, there were few people (I had it all to myself), making it a relaxing experience. The guest room in the accommodation was clean and well-maintained. Being sensitive to smells, I appreciated that there were no unpleasant odors—just a traditional Japanese scent that added charm. The location is excellent: about a 3-minute walk from the famous Kin-no-Yu bathhouse, with convenience stores nearby as well as restaurants and souvenir shops within close proximity. As for drawbacks: - The smoking area is only available in a narrow space near the entrance, which could inconvenience those entering or exiting. - The walls are quite thin; sounds from neighboring rooms are noticeable, requiring extra consideration not to disturb others. - While there’s a desk and chair provided on wooden flooring near them (which amplifies noise), combined with limited space due to having a refrigerator nearby made working challenging—I ended up using the low table instead. This place may not be ideal for business purposes but poses no issues otherwise for leisure stays. Lastly—and not specific just here—accessing parking by car requires caution as roads in central Arima Onsen are narrow; pre-checking directions thoroughly is essential since some paths can make maneuvering difficult if you get lost. Despite listing several concerns above, my overall experience felt like an escape from daily life—it left me appreciating its charm even more after returning home!

The Room was spacious and comfortable even for a large group. It’s in a perfect location for strolling, right in front of Yumotozaka and Kin-no-Yu, and the service was excellent—we were very satisfied. However, we felt there weren’t enough places to hang the amenity towels. Also, since there are only sheer curtains, you may wake up early in the morning depending on the season.

The property faces Oyu Street in the heart of Nozawa Onsen, with the Accommodation entrance just steps away. It’s also conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the Nagasaka Gondola. The parking lot is about a 3-minute walk from the building, but for the Nozawa Onsen area it offers plenty of spaces. Depending on where you park, it may not be possible to pull your car out immediately, but if you share your schedule in advance they will accommodate you. Inside, there are two private baths: a free-flowing natural hot-spring Onsen (direct from the source) and an ion bath. The Onsen is just like the public baths in town, and because it’s private, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to soak and relax at their own pace. The ion bath has a generator in the tub that creates bubbling water; it feels refreshing after enjoying the Onsen and is also highly recommended. Both the common areas and guest rooms reflect the owner’s attention to detail, creating a fun space that feels different from a typical hot-spring Ryokan. You can also access the café and shop facing Oyu Street directly from inside, making it easy to stop for tea or do some shopping.

Although old, it was clean, and the service was excellent! There were other guests, but it was very quiet and comfortable accommodation. I was concerned about insects in the room, but considering the abundance of nature, it seemed unavoidable. The bath was just big enough for two people. (We knew in advance that it would be small, so there were no issues!) There was a self-service morning coffee available!

The owner of the Accommodation seems deeply devoted to the Onsen and handed me an Onsen analysis sheet at the front desk—something I’d never experienced before. The main rock bath had a wonderful atmosphere and there were three tubs, but all of them were too hot for me to soak in. I barely managed to get into the deep bath at the front for about 10 seconds a few times. I understand the desire for guests to enjoy the free-flowing natural hot spring water, but it was a bit intense for me. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the smaller gourd-shaped bath and went in three times. The meals were modest but more than enough, and especially the soba was delicious. The toilet in my Room was modern and comfortable. The building is very spacious and must be difficult to maintain, but I hope they will continue doing well for many years to come.

We used it as a touring base for the Venus Line. It is a homely Ryokan. Both meals were served in the Room, allowing us to enjoy them without worrying about others. We were able to savor delicious homemade dishes, including Shinshu beef. The bath was not large, but it was clean and comfortable. The cost performance is excellent. It is a Ryokan that makes you want to use it again next time.

The Room and bathroom were clean, and there were no particular inconveniences. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room on the first floor with a spacious table that comfortably accommodated our family of five. It was very comfortable, and the meals were absolutely delicious! They also provided a high chair and separate plates for children upon request. The front desk offered various board games for rent, but when we tried to borrow one before leaving, we were told rentals weren't available on departure day. We regretted not borrowing them the day before. Even with small children, we had a comfortable stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

I visited for a stay after skiing at Hoonoki-daira Ski Resort. The open-air cypress bath made by the owner's father was very pleasant, and I enjoyed it twice, at night and in the morning. I really liked the temperature of the water, its size, and the view. The food was also very delicious, and we ended up drinking too much sake, but both my wife and I were very satisfied. With skiing, onsen, and delicious meals, this is a property I definitely want to visit again.

Thank you for taking care of us on August 10th and 11th. We arrived by motorcycle and were worried about parking, but you came out as soon as we arrived and kindly let us park in a covered area. We were truly impressed by your thoughtfulness. The food was delicious as well. The bath left our skin feeling smooth, and we were able to relax deeply and enjoy a wonderful time. It was an excellent Ryokan. I was very satisfied with everything, including the hostess’s warm smile and the owner’s superb cooking. There are not many Onsen that welcome solo guests, but this is an Onsen I’d like to visit every month. The Onsen water was very hot—locals even told me it was hot—but the quality of the spring water was wonderful and it melted away my fatigue.

This was my first time staying in Yufuin, and I’m truly glad I chose Accommodation Inaka-so! They have a private Onsen, the Room was clean, and above all, the owner was incredibly kind. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Yufuin.

A one-night stay for a couple in their 60s. While we usually stay at hotels, this time we chose a vacation rental, which allowed us to act at our own pace without worrying about others. The property is located away from nearby houses, and the entire accommodation was clean and well-maintained. The parking space can accommodate two cars side by side or up to four standard-sized cars if parked in tandem. The place was very spacious and beautifully maintained—truly luxurious for just the two of us. Thank you so much! On the second floor, there are two Japanese-style rooms with mattresses that had just the right firmness and thickness for a comfortable sleep. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Lake Toya!

The building feels a bit old, but it also incorporates some newer touches here and there, creating a lovely modern atmosphere. The indoor bath is somewhat dated, but it was kept clean and I was able to enjoy it comfortably. After soaking in the Onsen, my body gradually warmed up and it felt very relaxing. The open-air bath is a private family bath, so my husband and I were able to take our time and enjoy the Onsen together. Breakfast was delicious across the board, served warm, and we were very satisfied.
