This Hotel exceeded my expectations—wonderful in every way and an amazing value. All the staff welcomed us with great smiles, and everyone we met at check-in, at the restaurant during dinner, and at breakfast provided excellent service, making our trip to Zao truly pleasant. I was also happy to see their thoughtful attention, such as calling the elevator in advance when we were heading that way. When we entered our Room, there were tea snacks plus chilled sweets in the refrigerator—at this price, I honestly wondered if it was really okay for us to stay here. The Room was also very spacious. The Onsen was of course fantastic, and we were able to use the Onsen at affiliated Hotels as well, which was a real treat for us Onsen lovers. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. Although it was only for one night, I was able to relax deeply. As rumored, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, everyone’s hospitality was excellent, and the Room was wonderful. I’m truly glad I chose to stay here. From the Room balcony, we had a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach, the ocean, and the town—an unbeatable location. The Room was spacious and truly relaxing. The Hotel itself was lovely, and having a nice smoking room was a real plus for smokers. In the evening, we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar counter, and with live piano music it made for a wonderfully comfortable time. The view from the large public bath was also amazing—you can look down over the sea, and the ocean breeze felt incredibly refreshing. Dinner was an Italian course meal and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great too, with both Japanese and Western options. The Hotel also has a pool and a gym, and it’s close to Shirahama World Safari and golf courses—perfect for families with children as well as golf lovers. It was such a wonderful Hotel that we’ll definitely want to visit again.

I stayed here on a solo trip as a treat for myself. From the moment I arrived, I was comforted by the staff’s warm and attentive hospitality. The meals were packed with fresh vegetables, with generous portions—I was completely satisfied. On top of that, the all-you-can-drink option, pre-dinner snacks, and dessert service made it a truly pampering stay. I was so full after dinner that I unfortunately couldn’t eat dessert, but next time I’d like to plan my appetite better so I can enjoy it. Even when we drove past the Hotel on our way out, the staff waved to me with big smiles, and it left me feeling warmly happy—almost to tears. Next time I’ll come with my family. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

The Room and beds were flawless. The meals were also more than sufficient for us as an older couple with smaller appetites—we even wondered, “Is this really a lighter portion?” Everything was delicious. Not only was dinner served in our Room, but we were also able to have breakfast in a private dining room, so we could enjoy it at our own pace. When the season changes, we would love to stay again and look forward to the seasonal menu changes.

I chose this Hotel because I like the SOIL brand, and it was an even better stay than I expected! I really loved the exterior that blends into the scenery of the Nagato Yumoto area, and the interior design that seems to value natural colors. The staff kept a comfortable level of distance, and I also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The sauna on the top floor had just the right humidity, so it didn’t feel too intense even when staying in longer than usual despite the temperature. Relaxing while listening to higurashi cicadas may end up being this summer’s highlight!

All staff members who supported us were incredibly hospitable, and it made our trip truly wonderful. Our whole family was very satisfied—thank you! The facilities were up to date, and the security was excellent. The Ryokan was also very clean and hygienic. Both dinner and breakfast were delicately and elegantly seasoned, everything was fresh, and we enjoyed every dish—it was all delicious. This is a Hotel we would definitely want to stay at again! The front desk staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful. I was also surprised by the cable car from the parking lot—it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed both the private family bath and the large public bath, and felt truly refreshed. Although our stay was No Meals Included, we took a stroll around Ikaho’s Onsen town and had a relaxing time. The Room was spacious enough, and we had no inconvenience with the Facility amenities. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again if we have the chance to visit Ikaho. Thank you very much.

As I casually looked out from the Japanese-style Room at the beautiful garden, a large grey heron was resting its wings by the waterfall. It was my first time observing one from so close, and I was thrilled. The thoughtfully prepared cuisine is always delicious, and this time again every dish was deeply impressive. Staying in a detached guesthouse felt perfect just being there, but I went out to make sure not to miss the live music in the lobby—and it turned into another wonderfully romantic moment. As often as time and budget allow, I would love to return again and again to unwind. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. You even prepared matcha for us, and we enjoyed it very much. The Room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. As our Room was in a separate building, we were able to relax in a quiet space. The open-air bath was also wonderful—I enjoyed it so much that I went in several times. The meals were delicious, and we especially appreciated the spacious dining area where we could take our time without worrying about others. We also received a gift for our wedding anniversary, and the thoughtful hospitality truly warmed our hearts.

From the warm welcome to the heartfelt send-off, we were truly satisfied with the hospitality. With the carefully designed interior and a beautiful garden view, we could freely enjoy a variety of delicious Ureshino cold teas, which helped us forget the heat. Dinner was delicately prepared with deep flavors and was beautiful to look at; even my mother, who has visited Onsen all over The whole country, was deeply moved. The bath in our Room was also a continuously flowing Onsen, and it felt wonderful. All of the staff were genuinely kind, and their smiles were soothing as well.

The bath was a spacious unit bath, and since it can be filled with Onsen water, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in our Room. We would like to stay again.

The Onsen was outstanding, the hospitality was exceptional, and we found a truly wonderful Accommodation. The coffee we were served was authentic and incredibly delicious. It seems the space is designed so you can relax without worrying about time. However, not being able to find a clock anywhere was a bit inconvenient. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

We visited with our dog to celebrate my parents’ 60th birthday. The staff were kind, and the Ryokan was welcoming to both people and dogs. We were very satisfied with the meals! The Room and the in-room bath were spacious and very comfortable. Thank you very much.

The lake could be seen from our Room, the dining area, and even the bath, and we were able to truly relax from the heart. The meals were gentle and beautifully presented without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients, the portions were just right, and everything was absolutely delicious. The proprietress’s thoughtful care and the kindness of everyone at the Accommodation could be felt in so many ways. It’s far away so we can’t visit often, but this time we even got to enjoy fireworks as a special treat, and staying at your Accommodation became a truly wonderful memory.

My long-awaited trip to Ibusuki finally came true, and I had the pleasure of staying at Ibusuki Shusuien. Everything was outstanding: the warm and attentive service from the staff, the historic atmosphere of this long-established Ryokan, spotless guest rooms, free-flowing Onsen straight from the source, and delicious meals. (I’ve stayed at a few Hotels on my limited travels, but this became an unforgettable Ryokan for me.) It was so wonderful that I honestly wondered if someone as young as me deserved to stay at such a great Ryokan. My only regret is that I felt unwell during my stay and couldn’t finish my meal. (I truly feel terrible about it...) Please let me make up for it when I stay again...! I’m still savoring the afterglow of what was, even understatedly, an incredible stay—and I feel like other Hotels might pale in comparison (lol). It was truly a luxurious time. If you ever visit Ibusuki, please do yourself a favor and stay here. I’ll say it again: it’s amazing!

First of all, the meals were outstanding. I’ve had enohara fish before, but this was the most delicious I’ve ever tasted! They paid close attention to how we were doing during the meal, and the timing of each next dish was perfect.
