I felt this Accommodation could be rated very differently depending on the purpose of your trip and the Room you choose. I stayed because I was interested in their guest Room with a semi-open-air bath. The exterior looks dated, and the front desk area doesn’t feel like a typical Hotel, which made me a bit uneasy at first. But once I entered the Room, it was very clean and instantly lifted my mood. The Facility also felt relatively new and well maintained. And of course, it has an ocean view. The refrigerator includes a freezer compartment, and there’s also a microwave and a washing machine (with dryer). Amenities such as skincare items and cleansing products are all provided individually packaged. There were two bath towels set out plus one spare in the drawer—three per person in total, which was more than enough. (Though I’m not sure if this applies only to Rooms with a semi-open-air bath.) Most importantly, the semi-open-air bath was truly wonderful. You can see the ocean at a glance through the large window, and the tub is spacious enough for what feels like four people. The Onsen in the Room is not free-flowing, but it’s easy to adjust the temperature so you can soak as long as you like at your preferred heat. Because there’s a glass partition between it and the living area, you can even watch TV (with subtitles) while bathing. The staff were pleasant and kind—they quickly helped me exchange my indoor sandal size and delivered them to my Room. It was No Meals Included, but it’s close to both the station and Atami Ginza, making dining out and shopping very convenient. It’s different from an ordinary Hotel, but as a condominium-style stay with an in-room Onsen, it was excellent. I highly recommend the Grand View Room. I’d love to visit again.

I stayed in a double Room. There was a low bed on a slightly raised platform, and I was able to relax as if I were in my own Room. There was no open-air bath, but the spacious Onsen was very pleasant. Overall, everything felt very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

The service is excellent, and the hot spring water quality is wonderful—maybe even better than Saki-no-Yu. The Room is spacious and comfortable, and the Accommodation fee is unbelievably cheap! There are quite a few things you need to do yourself, but if you have time and think, “It’s tiring to just come for a quick swim and go home—maybe we’ll stay the night instead,” this place will be perfect for you. In times like these with the economy so bad, this might be the only place where you can feel like you’re traveling at such a low price. I’ll definitely come again!

Although we arrived a little late for check-in, the hostess kindly welcomed us, and we were able to relax and recover from our fatigue in the Onsen. The Room was also comfortable—we just wish we had arrived a bit earlier to take our time. We would like to stay again.

Since it is right in front of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, getting around was easy with almost no travel needed. I was able to use the foot bath and enjoy cake at the cafe as well. I chose a plan with breakfast only, without dinner. Breakfast felt a little less satisfying than before. Overall, I was satisfied. I booked a Room with an open-air bath and was able to use it many times.

I really wanted to stay at a three-star buffet Accommodation, so I chose this one. The food was delicious—above all, the sashimi was excellent. I ate way too much sushi as well. I also fully enjoyed the seafood grill, especially the abalone and other items that are hard to come by in everyday life. The Hotel Facility is old, though. But since I came for the meals, it wasn’t an issue. I mistakenly thought it was a premium Accommodation, so it was disappointing that there were no soft drinks. At dinner, I added an all-you-can-drink option for about 2,500 yen, so I was very satisfied. It was supposed to be Airweave bedding, but I didn’t find it particularly comfortable to sleep on.

The Room was clean. The pillows were comfortable, and the location was convenient. I’d like to stay again. Thank you.

This price was more than sufficient for two adults. We stayed as a couple in our 50s. The Room was spacious and had air conditioning and a TV, the toilet had a washlet, and the sulfur Onsen was wonderful. We were also able to enjoy an Onsen tour at the sister properties. There is also a retro hot spring town nearby, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The woman at the front desk was also very kind. Thank you!

The Onsen water was originally great, but when I stayed again after a long time, it had improved even more. It was already silky-smooth, but this time it also had a stronger sulfur feel and a milky-white appearance—absolutely wonderful. (Just my personal impression.) I don’t usually leave comments, but this was the best so far, so I wanted to share my thoughts. I would like to visit again. Thank you.

This was our first trip to Atami, and we stayed here as a couple. The staff were very helpful, and we were satisfied. Our Room was Japanese-style, and it was nice that it could be divided into separate spaces with sliding doors. We were a bit concerned that the toilet area had a step up. We were also happy with the view and had a very pleasant stay. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes and was delicious, and the breakfast buffet also had an excellent selection. I enjoyed two days at Hakodate Racecourse. It rained, but the Hotel is right in front, which was a huge help. You can also borrow an umbrella. There are vending machines for coffee, tea, and corn soup near the elevator. You can have as many cups as you like for free. The chicken wings at breakfast were delicious.

My child had a great time solving the “Little People” puzzle last month, so we stayed again to try the ninja puzzle. Since it was during the Obon holiday period, it was very lively and crowded. The large public bath in particular was full of excited children. All of the food was delicious, and the welcome sake in the lounge was also excellent. However, it was disappointing that there was a leftover seaweed packet from a previous breakfast on the floor in our Room, and a used paper cup left inside the shoe cabinet for outdoor shoes. It felt like the cleaning wasn’t thorough, and there were even cobwebs around the lighting. In the end, we were able to complete the ninja puzzle successfully, and my child went home satisfied. It was also nice to be able to enjoy things like an evening taiko drum performance and feeding koi fish.

I had a comfortable stay. The reception staff were pleasant. It was my first time staying at APA Hotel, and I thought the razor was excellent.

This was my second stay. I first visited at the end of July. The Onsen and meals were wonderful, and above all, the front desk staff’s hospitality (especially a female staff member, Ms. A) was outstanding. I was truly impressed by their consistently warm smiles and courteous service, so I booked again right away. This time as well, the Onsen and meals were excellent! And Ms. A’s hospitality felt warmer than at any luxury Hotel—her smile was a perfect 10/10—and it made for a truly relaxing stay. Thank you very much! Also, right after check-in, there is complimentary coffee and shaved ice available in the lounge 24 hours a day. It’s a great perk not only for kids but for adults too, so don’t miss it! With the meals, the Onsen, and the staff’s hospitality… this is a cozy, home-like Accommodation where you can truly unwind at ease, so I definitely plan to return again soon!

It was a very dog-friendly Hotel. They had almost everything we needed except food, so we could stay with peace of mind. The open-air bath had a standing bath with a panoramic view of Lake Shinji, and since it was my first time, I was truly impressed. The Onsen while watching the sunrise was the best! The Hotel itself isn’t new, but it was well maintained and perfectly clean, so there was no discomfort at all. If I get the chance again, I’d love to stay here with my dog! Thank you very much.

I have stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels, but this was such a wonderful Ryokan that I wanted to write a Review for the first time. The Shuttle Service staff, front desk staff, dining service staff, and kitchen staff were all courteous, kind, and attentive. The property was also impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. I would love to stay here again.

I’ve been to Beppu many times, but this was my first stay at Sansuikan. Thank you for a relaxing time. My elderly siblings and I even talked about coming again next time (lol).

Family stay for four, including two children. Conveniently located. The building and room show some age but have been renovated, so no issues. The facility is well-maintained. Meals are delicious and generously portioned. Guests can also use the onsen of the affiliated facilities, making it possible to enjoy a hot spring tour. Would love to stay here again when visiting Beppu!

We stayed during the New Year and were thrilled to see the sunrise from our room, which deeply impressed my parents. The facility is old, but we enjoyed an abundance of fresh seafood that was almost too much to finish. Having meals served in the room, which is rare nowadays, allowed us to dine at a relaxed pace. The Onsen with its bubbling natural hot spring water warmed us to the core. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the large public bath was a bit dark and had a slight musty smell. Even so, we would love to visit again—watching fireworks there would be amazing!

The open-air bath, large public bath, and sauna were all wonderful… Even though the meals were buffet-style, it never felt crowded, so we could eat comfortably, and of course the food was excellent… The all-you-can-drink option was also excellent in both variety and taste… The twin beds were spacious, and the Room size was more than satisfactory… Above all, the waterfall-view lounge… It had a different atmosphere during the day and at night, and I lost track of time just gazing out with a cup of coffee in hand! I wonder if the scenery is completely different during the autumn foliage season? Someday in autumn… it became an Accommodation I’d love to visit again!
