The Onsen water quality is excellent, and you stay pleasantly warm long after your bath. The meals, including Yonezawa beef, were all delicious and very filling. The staff were kind and welcoming, making for a truly relaxing stay. I would love to stay here again when visiting Yonezawa.

It was the best trip. This was a wonderful Ryokan in every respect—Japan’s oldest bath, the cuisine, the service, and the Onsen. I stayed at Kashotei with in-room dining, and every dish of the carefully prepared kaiseki meal was outstanding. The staff were perfect—always smiling and considerate—and the tour was also educational, helping me learn about the hot-spring cure area and the history of the Accommodation. After enjoying the open-air bath, family bath, and Japan’s oldest bath, my skin and hair felt silky smooth. The lounge is great too. Please do visit.

We stayed for one night and two days with our grandchild. As mentioned in the Reviews, the building and the Room itself are indeed old, but everything was properly cleaned and there were no issues. With the all-you-can-play passport, we fully enjoyed bowling, the pool, craft-making, festival-style games, quizzes, a stamp rally, and more. The free shuttle bus from the Hotel to Yubatake at night was extremely helpful; it was my first time seeing the Yubatake illumination, and I was surprised by how many tourists were there. Even though it was summer, walking around Yubatake felt pleasantly cool—almost a little chilly—which was wonderful. The next day we used the Hotel bus again because I wanted my grandchild to enjoy street food and try yumomi (hot spring water stirring). I had only ever visited Kusatsu in winter before, so this summer trip was a first for me. While news reports talked about extreme heat in Tokyo, I was amazed at how cool and comfortable Kusatsu is in summer. At night we didn’t need air conditioning in our Room; it even felt slightly chilly. Summer in Kusatsu is great.\nThe meals were delicious, and everyone at the front desk, each reception counter, and the shop—especially the international staff—was very polite and pleasant. Every staff member provided excellent service; I was truly impressed. This is a highly recommended Hotel for families with children as well. We would love to visit again. One drawback is that the Hotel is so large that it’s easy to get lost—especially when trying to find the baths; as noted in Reviews, we got lost too. Overall though, it was a wonderful Hotel. The moment I stepped into the Room, the Sea of Japan and the blue sky filled my view. The scenery from the large sofa by the window was truly wonderful. All of the seafood in the meals was fresh and delicious. After dinner, we went out to the beach and enjoyed beautiful fireworks, which really made it feel like summer. I’d love to visit again in a different season to enjoy more great fish.

We stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included as a family of three. While the building feels a bit old, it is well maintained and very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. We chose a meal-included Plan, and the food was excellent—we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. The drink bar with alcohol was fantastic, and I ended up getting refills many times (a bit tipsy). Breakfast also had a wide variety, and I went back for both Japanese and Western dishes. The houtou noodles were delicious as well. One thing that concerned me slightly was an odor in the Room. It didn’t bother us while we were in the Room, but when we returned after bathing, the smell stood out—so I think this could be improved. The bath area is small but includes an open-air bath and a sauna, and it was great that we could use the private bath for free. There were also massage chairs and computers available to use for free as part of the Facility offerings, plus unlimited manga—it felt like there wasn’t enough time to enjoy everything. Overall, it was a very good Accommodation. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I visited for a day trip. The staff were very friendly. It was in a quiet location, a little away from the Onsen town. I arrived by car about an hour early, so I went shopping in the Onsen town about a 12-minute walk away, and they picked me up by car at the tourist information center. It was raining, so I really appreciated being picked up even though it was just a day trip. Thank you very much. Next time, I would like to stay overnight.

The Room, meals, and baths were all excellent. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Both the Room and the large public bath were kept very clean, which was wonderful. Due to our schedule, we checked in after 6:00 PM, so we could only enjoy the Onsen twice—at night and in the morning—which was a bit disappointing. If we have the chance to visit again, we would like to take our time and relax.

My companion loves the Onsen here, so this is our third stay. I think we’ll come again. Thank you.

I often have trouble sleeping when I travel, but the bed here suited me well and I slept soundly. At the top-floor bar, there were no other guests, so I was able to enjoy a luxurious night view of Matsuyama Castle all to myself and was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of options and tasted great. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Although our trip was rainy, the staff kindly came to the parking lot with an umbrella to welcome us as soon as we arrived at the Accommodation. After that, everyone continued to treat us gently with warm smiles at all times, making it one of our favorite travel memories. The Onsen temperature was just right, and I ended up soaking for about an hour... Dinner was delicious, but breakfast was even better—an amazing variety and great flavors. We felt happy and completely full from the morning! It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again!

It was a very nice Ryokan. The food, the baths, the service, and even the Jersey milk after bathing were all excellent. There were many international guests as well, but everyone was quiet and respectful, which I appreciated. Just one point: my child’s rate was half price, but the meal was a kids’ plate. Since my child doesn’t like “kid-style” dishes such as fried shrimp, they ate from the adults’ meal instead, and I ended up eating the kids’ meal. I would have appreciated being informed in advance that children would be served a different dinner.

Walking from Hakone-Yumoto Station while browsing for souvenirs, then passing through the main street lined with shops, it was also a delight to reach the Accommodation while being soothed by the lush riverside scenery. The all-you-can-drink service during our stay was also great, with a wide selection including draft beer and sparkling wine. For dinner, we chose the seafood shabu-shabu Plan, and it came not only with several kinds of fish but also scallops and crab; there were plenty of vegetables as well, and everything was delicious. The other dishes were served in small portions so we could enjoy a variety of items, and they looked beautiful too—we enjoyed them very much. Breakfast was also colorful and wholesome, with steamed vegetables, grilled fish, rice accompaniments, and more—delicious food that felt gentle on the body. Neither meal felt lacking at all, but it also wasn’t so much that we couldn’t finish—just the right level of fullness. The Room was clean, comfortable, and easy to relax in. The view from the Room was green and pleasant as well, though artificial fencing made it slightly disappointing. The Onsen was comfortable in temperature and very relaxing in both the large public bath and the private bath. The ice pops after bathing were also a welcome service. All of the staff had wonderful smiles and were kind throughout our stay, making us feel very comfortable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

All the staff were incredibly cheerful, which made for a very pleasant stay. The building feels a bit old, but it seems to be well maintained and thoroughly cleaned. The baths are also clean. While I was using the large public bath, a staff member came by to check on things and even cleaned up what looked like fallen leaves. I stayed two nights with breakfast and dinner included, and there was such a wide variety of dishes that I never got bored—everything was delicious and very filling.

The infinity Onsen was wonderful. It was the perfect temperature, and my husband and I stayed in for two hours. Since Onsen are usually separated by gender, I’m usually alone wherever we go, but this was the first time we could enjoy an Onsen together. The buffet didn’t have a huge variety, but the individual sashimi servings were very delicious, and for someone my age it was more than enough. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

The open-air bath in the detached Accommodation was very relaxing, and I was able to enjoy a soothing soak without any worries. The meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and felt like authentic kaiseki cuisine. A staff member kindly came to the parking lot to help with our luggage and was very pleasant. I would love to stay again.

The staff were very kind and helpful, which made our stay wonderful. With this Plan, we were able to use the private bath free of charge. Since there are only a few guest rooms, we enjoyed a calm, relaxing atmosphere where we could clearly hear the sound of the clear stream. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

This time, since I wanted an Onsen close to Yonago Airport, I chose Kaike Onsen. I was satisfied with the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. However, upon arrival: There was only one person at the front desk, and no one came to greet me at the entrance. (For some reason, when I left they saw me off the whole time?) I stopped in front of the entrance to unload my luggage, then parked my car on my own in a distant parking lot. When I entered, they were assisting the previous guest and didn’t say “Welcome” or even “Please wait,” which made me feel like I wasn’t being welcomed. I wanted to come again during crab season, but…

I stayed for a refreshing getaway. It was conveniently located just steps from the station, so check-in went smoothly. I mistakenly made the Reservation under a male name, but thank you for kindly accommodating us and preparing the Room afterward. We could see the ocean from the Room, and it was very quiet both inside and outside, allowing us to relax in peace. The open-air bath in the guest room was at the perfect temperature, and I enjoyed it five times during my stay. The meal was excellent—the sashimi platter was especially luxurious and delicious. The recommended abalone we added was large and thick; since it was steamed and grilled, it had a pleasant firmness without being tough, making it easy to eat. It was truly delicious with melted butter on top. Thank you for your attentive service from check-in to check-out. I would love to stay again.

Last year, when our whole family gathered for a homecoming, we stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The meals and the Facility were excellent, and above all, the warm hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff was outstanding. We were able to spend truly memorable time with my elderly mother and uncle, our dog, and the children. We stayed in two types of Rooms: two family groups in pet-friendly Rooms, and my mother’s group in a Japanese-style Room with an open-air bath. Both Rooms were spotless, well stocked with amenities, and very comfortable. For dinner, we enjoyed Saga beef at a relaxed pace with in-room dining. The Onsen was also incredibly soothing—soft water typical of Furu-yu, pleasantly lukewarm at body temperature—along with a sauna with great views. We used to enjoy trying different places each year, but everyone agreed to return to Suginoya again this year. We would love to come back again next year as well. We originally planned to stay near Nikko Station, but we made a Reservation after seeing the great Reviews. The Facility is certainly old, but there is also a private bath, so we were able to relax. Above all, the food was absolutely delicious! Dinner was French cuisine with both fish and meat, and breakfast was a generous spread including fluffy omelets and juicy sausages. My family who traveled with me was very satisfied as well. Thank you very much.
