Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of us. This Accommodation truly feels like a place that welcomes us home. First of all, we feel relieved—this is the best kind of hospitality. The hospitality was outstanding. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently attentive. Especially at checkout, they even wiped the car windows. It had rained the night before, so the windows may have been dirty, but this was the first time anyone has ever done that for me—I was truly impressed. Both the quality and quantity of the meals were very satisfying. Dinner featured a duck hot pot as the main dish, along with plenty of extras such as sashimi and Kasumi crab (benizuwai crab). Everything was delicious. If I had to mention anything, it would be that the Ryokan’s bath is small and it’s a bit away from the center of town. Personally, I enjoyed walking around while exploring and visiting different public baths, and they also said they could drive guests there upon request. As for the small bath at the Ryokan, I think it works well if you make use of the public baths too while still enjoying what’s available on-site. I would definitely like to stay again. My mother stayed with you on this occasion with three friends. She told me that everything—the Room, the Onsen, and the meals—was outstanding. To celebrate her 77th birthday, you prepared a purple hood and vest for photos and also provided celebratory red rice buns, which made for wonderful memories, and she is truly grateful. Although the three of them travel to many places, they were deeply impressed by your exceptional hospitality. Thank you very much.

We visited Shimane Prefecture for the first time to go to the Izumo Taisha Shrine we’d long dreamed of seeing for our wedding anniversary. While looking for a Ryokan, we found a wonderful one in an Onsen town—though it was a bit far from Izumo Taisha—and decided to check it out. We were especially drawn to the amazing Plan offering 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat crab, so we made a Reservation right away!! The guest Room was very spacious—more than enough for two people—and it was very clean!! Every dish was truly delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab until we were completely satisfied. The other kaiseki dishes were also luxurious; the clam clear soup was of course delicious, and so were the meat dishes and sea bream shabu-shabu… Everything exceeded our expectations!! The Onsen was also excellent. I personally loved the open-air bath in particular. When I went in at night, I felt the water temperature might have been slightly on the lukewarm side, but in the morning it was just perfect—so I think the weather may have had an effect. It felt so good that I wanted to stay in both at night and in the morning. The next day my skin felt smooth, and I could definitely feel its benefits. The front desk staff were kind as well. Next time, I’d love to visit again on a family trip with my parents and my spouse’s parents. We’re very happy to have found such a great Ryokan that we can recommend to anyone.

I stayed here because the Accommodation highlighted that you can see the Seven Stars in Kyushu from the Room. It really was a Room with a great view, and I was able to photograph the Seven Stars in Kyushu with Mt. Yufu in the background. You can also see Mt. Yufu from the Onsen in the Room. The medicinal rice porridge at breakfast was especially delicious!

Although it is an older building, it is well cared for and kept very clean. Thank you very much to the proprietress and all the staff. If checkout were at 11:00, we could have had a more relaxed morning... We would love to stay again.

This Accommodation was the final stop on our 3-night, 4-day summer trip through Okayama, Tottori, and Shimane, and it was truly a wonderful place to end our journey. Check-in was very courteous and smooth, and I was surprised—in a good way—that an attendant escorted us to our Room while explaining the building along the way, which is rare these days. They also carefully explained everything in the Room, and I was impressed by the traditional level of hospitality. The Room had great taste, and the open-air bath in the Room was free-flowing Onsen water. It was a bit hot, but adding some water quickly made it comfortable enough to enter, so we enjoyed it many times during our stay. With Rooms that have an open-air Onsen bath, insects often get into either the bath or the Room, but for some reason we had no such issues here and were comfortable throughout. Dinner was served in a private room; the attendant’s explanations were thorough, and everything tasted excellent. The final dish seemed especially delicious—my husband and son even asked for seconds. Breakfast was buffet-style. We went at a later time close to last order, but we were not rushed at all and could enjoy our meal comfortably until the end. We chose late check-out as well. Although there were hardly any other guests around at that time (at other Hotels with late check-out there are usually few staff members left and no send-off), they continued to assist us until departure—taking photos for us and seeing us off properly—which felt like outstanding service. In addition, there were foot reflexology massages as well as foot baths, hand baths, and even face baths. Our Plan also included lounge access—all of which we enjoyed. It is rare to find such a large Ryokan (Hotel) with excellent Facility offerings, ample staffing levels, great service, plus wonderful meals and Onsen. It really shows their dedication. We had a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed as three generations—my elderly mother, myself, and my child. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and the Onsen with its unique jungle-style bath was unlike anything else. The meals made great use of local ingredients, and we were very satisfied. My mother was delighted as well, and it became a wonderful travel memory for us.

This is a wonderful Ryokan that moves me every time I visit. The Room, baths, cuisine, the staff’s smiles, and the overall atmosphere throughout the property are all exceptional, and time seems to slow down. Both the fresh enthusiasm of the younger staff and the understated attentiveness of the experienced staff naturally bring a smile. The welcome service includes soft drinks as well as wine—and that wine is surprisingly delicious. Breakfast also comes with a choice of drinks; the 100% peach juice is pure peach—peach! peach! peach!—and absolutely worth trying at least once. And the cuisine is outstanding. Though the chef is young, everything—from seasonal menus and presentation to masterful use of dashi—is superb. The creativity is remarkable, and the expressive artistry of each dish (including the tableware) is truly next level. The view from the open-air bath in our Room—sunlit green trees against a blue sky—was beautiful, and soaking in an open-air bath during a sudden downpour was an experience with its own special charm. This is a lovely kappo-style Ryokan that soothes me every time I stay. Having visited in spring and summer, I would love to return in autumn next time.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. I have stayed in Shuzenji at Yagyu-no-Sho and at Sora next door, but this was my first stay at Asaba. 　The moment I arrived and stepped into the entrance, a pond and a Noh stage opened up before me—an overwhelming view. I also noticed the pleasant scent of wood and the crisp, refined air. I assume everything is kept impeccably clean. Our Room was in the second-lowest price range, but it still had a view of the Noh stage, and with two adjoining rooms it felt very comfortable. 　Both the staff member who guided us to our Room and handled check-in, and the attendant who served dinner and breakfast, were courteous yet pleasantly friendly, which helped me relax. Some luxury top-tier Accommodations have staff who make guests feel tense, but that was not the case here. 　Dinner made it clear that each dish was prepared with great care. The soft-shelled turtle winter melon soup and the horse mackerel sashimi were outstanding. However, as others have mentioned, since the grilled dish was sweetfish and the rice was also sweetfish rice, I would have preferred a sea fish for the grilled course. 　I used the large public bath about twice without running into anyone, so I could unwind in peace. The in-room bath was also very comfortable. I spent time in the salon before dinner on day one and after breakfast on day two; it was wonderfully quiet there, so I could relax while looking out over the pond and Noh stage. 　I would like to stay again in a different season.

This time, our large family of eight stayed to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Our Room was upgraded, the meals were delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly—we truly enjoyed our one-night stay. Finally, the view from the Room was amazing.

We arrived by taxi from Hakodate Airport. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, which is convenient. The meals were plentiful, and the squid in particular was delicious. It’s best not to expect much in terms of the view from the Room. There are two convenience stores nearby, and the refrigerator was empty so we could use it freely. The Onsen was excellent, with smooth, light water. Everyone—from the front desk to meal service and futon setup—was friendly and always smiling, which was wonderful. We will stay here again when we visit Hakodate.

I’m a repeat guest. At the festival, the shaved ice, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, edamame, and konjac were all very delicious. The draft beer tasted exceptionally good. Since meals were served in the Room, I was able to dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Two different types of rice were served, so I could compare them—both were delicious. Next time, I’d like to stay in a different Room.

In particular, the handwritten message and lovely illustrations at breakfast were very soothing, and we truly felt the staff’s kindness. Thank you. We stayed here last year and had such a wonderful time that we definitely wanted to come back. This year, we chose our travel destination mainly because we wanted to stay at this Accommodation again, and it did not disappoint. Our Room had an indoor bath, but the open-air bath was so relaxing that we never even found time to use the indoor one (laughs). This is truly an Accommodation we want to return to again. I stayed in a private Room with an open-air bath on the 7th floor. The Room was impeccably cleaned, and everything—from the air conditioning to overall comfort—was flawless. The in-room open-air bath, available 24 hours a day, was at the perfect temperature, and I could soak at my leisure to complete satisfaction. Above all, the dinner and breakfast were truly lavish! The taste was perfect, and each dish was thoughtfully crafted and a delight to look at as well. It’s also conveniently located near the shopping arcade, Dogo Onsen Honkan, and the tram station, making it very easy for sightseeing around Matsuyama City. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.

On my way back from a business trip to Tokyo, I planned a visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which I had long wanted to see. I stayed one night at an Accommodation in Kinugawa Onsen. I chose it after searching with conditions such as having an in-Room Onsen bath and being reasonably priced. The lobby was well maintained, and the hallways were very clean as well. Our Room had an Onsen bath and two separate rooms, so my wife went to the large public bath while I enjoyed the in-Room bath. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right—slightly on the generous side. It was a quiet Accommodation where I could relax in the Onsen, which was wonderful. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone was polite and courteous. One thing that concerned me was that when I opened the window by the in-Room bath, there were quite a few spider webs. Also, insects gathered on the window at night so we couldn’t open it; I thought that if there had been a screen door or similar, we could have opened it. If I have another chance to visit nearby, I would like to stay again.
