It was a wonderful Ryokan, with outstanding architecture and Rooms. The Japanese-modern space, where different materials blend beautifully, was truly impressive. Walking barefoot indoors let us experience the feeling of staying in a traditional house with all five senses. Both the meals and the hospitality were excellent. In the morning, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the private family bath. The location was also great, making it easy to enjoy visiting multiple hot springs smoothly.

I think the Facility is kept very clean. The Rooms are simple and minimal, but more than enough for sleeping. I did feel that amenities like makeup remover or hair ties would be nice to have. The service is very polite. Perhaps because it’s a Ryokan with only a few Rooms, it seems the staff is also a small team working hard—but it never feels like they cut corners at all! The Onsen was excellent as well! The water temperature was just right. Like others have mentioned in their Reviews, the food is amazing. It’s more than enough for one person—I went to bed completely full. Breakfast was also plentiful, and everything was delicious. I think this is a hidden-gem Ryokan in Uguisuyado Onsen!

The Room I stayed in was very clean! The brochures on the desk were neatly arranged, and the bathroom was also spotless! It felt great when I entered the Room. Also, the shared kitchen was nice.

From the very first welcome, to the softness of the bath water, to how delicious and generous the meals were—everything was wonderful. The portions may have been a bit too much; I’m sorry I couldn’t finish everything and ended up leaving some. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which was great. There is also a matchmaking shrine in the mountain behind the property, and it was refreshing to visit in the morning. I would definitely like to come again.

This was my first stay here. The building itself had a charming sense of history, but everything inside was thoroughly cleaned, and the Onsen was incredibly relaxing. At another Onsen Ryokan where I stayed before, I noticed a musty smell in the hallways, so this level of cleanliness alone made me glad I chose this place. There was also coffee service, and it was delicious. There were plenty of restaurants toward the station within walking distance, so we were able to enjoy dinner without any trouble. We had breakfast at the Accommodation, and when I asked where to dispose of empty cans and plastic bottles from the Room, a breakfast staff member kindly took them for us. Their warm words made for a pleasant start to the day along with a great meal. When we checked out, they even took a commemorative photo for us at the entrance—every staff member was wonderful. Next time, I’d like to stay with dinner included. It was an Accommodation we were truly satisfied with.

During Golden Week, from May 3 to May 5, we stayed for three days on a one-night stay with two meals Plan for two adults and one dog. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Hotel owner was very young, and it was wonderful to see how dedicated they were to their work. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would love to visit again if we have the chance. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our stay. It was our first trip to Shikoku, and it became a truly memorable journey. The warm welcome at check-in helped us unwind after sightseeing in the heat. We were also very happy with the drink service in the lobby. The Onsen was clean and very relaxing. The meals were delicious, and we strongly felt we want to come back just to eat them again—especially the dashi broth (shabu-shabu), which was outstanding! The Room was a good size, but we did notice an unpleasant smell in it. We couldn’t tell what it was—perhaps alcohol or something from the Facility—which was disappointing. Thank you for your heartfelt service. There’s no doubt many more guests will continue to visit Shikishimakan—it's a wonderful Accommodation!

I visited again for the first time in a while, and once again I was reminded how much I love this Accommodation—the Onsen suits my skin perfectly. This time, I stayed in the long-admired Hounenmushi. Surrounded by nature, I was able to enjoy the Onsen quietly and at a leisurely pace.\nThe staff were also extremely courteous, which helped me relax even more. They kindly allowed me to tour the new building as well; it was wonderful, and I’m definitely considering staying there next time.\nIf Reservations could also be made through IKYU, that would make me very happy.

I stayed at this Onsen Accommodation for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights. Both breakfast and dinner were served in the same private dining room, and we had the same staff member each time, so we could enjoy our meals in a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food was excellent and very satisfying. However, there was no accommodation guidebook in the Room, so I would have appreciated having one.

The meals were delicious, and the bath was pleasantly warm so I could soak for a long time. My skin felt silky smooth.

I made a reservation at an accommodation that is rare these days, offering in-room smoking and in-room dining. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The onsen is not from a natural hot spring source, but you can enjoy it quietly and leisurely.

We had a wonderful family trip during the New Year. The meals were incredible, with an abundance of crab and sashimi, followed by tempura and chawanmushi just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more! The final dish of zosui was absolutely perfect. The private baths at night allowed our family to relax together comfortably. The staff provided such warm and welcoming service that it felt like returning home. A special thank you to the driver who kindly took us on an outdoor hot spring tour despite the heavy snow! We will definitely visit again.

The Accommodation was reasonably priced, yet the Room was spacious, and the ocean right in front of us made for an amazing view. Since we stayed on a weekday, the breakfast and dinner buffets were not crowded, so we could dine quietly. Everything was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals by the window while looking out at the sea. There is a municipal parking lot right in front, as well as a beach for swimming nearby, making the location excellent.

The Accommodation’s services felt fairly minimal, but the staff responded to questions and provided guidance very politely and kindly. The building shows its age, and the Room had a slight musty smell right after entering, but it was only noticeable when coming and going and didn’t bother me much during the stay. The Onsen has three open-air baths, and if they’re available you can use any of them freely. There’s no time limit, so you can relax at your own pace. Each bath has a different temperature, and there are washing areas as well, so I could compare them as many times as I liked depending on my mood that day. It was an Onsen lover’s dream—I was completely satisfied. This time I booked a Plan with one night and two meals, so meals were served at the sister property. It felt a bit inconvenient that drinks were charged separately on the spot, but the number of dishes was just right, and the meat was very delicious.

I stayed here on a trip to Arima Onsen. The parking lot is very far away, so it’s quite inconvenient without the Shuttle Service. The check-in and check-out locations are also separate, which was inconvenient, but the Facility is clean and Gin no Yu is within walking distance. It was great that I could walk to various places in the downtown area!

It was a wonderful Accommodation. The Room was spacious, and the open-air bath in the Room was large and continuously flowing, so I enjoyed it many times. There are two private indoor baths and one private open-air bath, so the bathing facilities are excellent. Dinner was served in the Room, everything was delicious, and I finished it all. Breakfast was served in a private dining room with partitions, and it was convenient to order refills of rice, miso soup, and tea via tablet. Breakfast was also very delicious. Having chawanmushi at breakfast made me very happy. I also appreciated that coffee after the meal could be brought to my Room. It stayed cool even in summer, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy both the Onsen and the meals at a leisurely pace. I would definitely like to visit again, and I look forward to staying with you then. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Among the few pet-friendly accommodations, I chose a no-dinner plan as I had plans during the day and checked in late. Prioritizing cost-effectiveness since it was just for staying overnight. The room was well-cleaned, had a sense of cleanliness, and I was very satisfied. The breakfast was delicious enough, leaving me very satisfied, making this accommodation a definite choice for repeat visits. The onsen at the external bathhouse was also excellent. From the moment we walked through the gate, the place was filled with cat-themed goods, with lots of adorable items everywhere. The tableware and glasses were lovely, and even breakfast was cute—and delicious. We enjoyed it fully from arrival until bedtime, and again in the morning. The bath was private and very spacious, so we could relax comfortably and recover from our travel fatigue. It was also perfect timing—we were happy to see so many fireflies. Everyone was kind, and we were able to unwind at a very relaxed pace.

The building may be old, but it was kept clean. The open-air bath had a wild and natural feel, offering an extraordinary experience that was very enjoyable. The Room was spacious as well. Above all, we appreciated the thoughtful efforts to make our stay pleasant. It was also nice that rice and miso soup were self-serve with unlimited refills. We would love to visit again!
