I stayed for one night. As others have mentioned, there are a few inconveniences—such as the entrance being hard to find and there being no elevator in the building, which makes carrying suitcases difficult. Depending on the Room, the view may feel a bit plain. Since there is no front desk staff on site at all times, some guests may be slightly confused about how to check in. Even so, it was a great Hotel that I would like to stay at again. The building has been newly renovated and is clean with no unpleasant odors. I also appreciated that the refrigerator had a freezer compartment. Compared with other Hotels in the same price range, the Room felt spacious. The bathroom also seemed large. The Onsen is small, but the water quality is excellent and everything—including the changing room—is kept very clean. The amenities are high quality as well. Above all, we had a small issue in our Room this time, and their response was outstanding. They came right away, identified the cause, and took appropriate measures. I was truly impressed by how considerate and supportive they were—more than enough to make up for any trouble. (It even made me want to write a Review for the first time.) There are minor inconveniences (all of which were explained in advance), but the cleanliness, hospitality, and handling of issues more than made up for them. This has become a Hotel I definitely want to stay at again next time.

A year after falling ill, I was finally feeling well again and truly enjoyed the soft-shelled turtle dishes. I did wish the portions were a bit larger, but considering the price, it felt reasonable. Overall, I was satisfied.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The kaiseki dinner, in particular, truly moved me—it was the most delicious I have had in years. Each dish was carefully prepared, and both the flavors and presentation were outstanding. I would highly recommend it to everyone. My sincere thanks to the head chef for preparing such an exceptional meal. The Onsen was also lovely, with a great atmosphere, and I was able to relax and unwind. However, I was a little disappointed that the women’s bathing hours were only from 17:00 to 20:00. I would have been even happier if it had been available for longer. The Room was clean and comfortable, and overall it felt like a calm, private space that I really enjoyed. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Located a little away from Isawa Onsen, this Accommodation is happy to provide Shuttle Service from the station. The outdoor bath is slightly lukewarm, so you can soak for a long time in the large Onsen. The Facility feels somewhat old, but it has a unique atmosphere. Meals are fun—you grill them yourself over an irori hearth. It offers a nostalgic dining experience that feels different from BBQ.

This was the Accommodation we stayed at on the third day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Niigata (Sado, Murakami Senami, and Niigata City). We were very pleased with the Shuttle Service, the staff’s hospitality, and the delicious dinner (the sashimi was especially fresh, and the salmon chanchan-yaki and ochazuke were outstanding). If I had to mention one thing, there were quite a few salty items at breakfast, so I think it would be fine to have fewer dishes. The bath was a little hot, but it left us feeling refreshed and invigorated afterward. It felt like a great value—an Accommodation where you can stay this comfortably even at an affordable price. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance.

Our annual train trip with three couples… this year, Done: Yufuin!! After careful consideration, we visited Pension Naganogou for a preview. The cute Room with neatly arranged beds had a great feel. The baths were private and available anytime, and the open-air bath was the best!! For dinner, all guests gathered on the wooden deck, each around our own table. The main dishes included Bungo beef and charcoal-grilled local chicken, along with salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, dango soup, and many small side dishes—everything was delicious. For dessert, the homemade pudding made by the hostess was amazing. We could also enjoy breakfast outside, making this a very satisfying preview visit. We truly appreciated the Shuttle Service to Yufuin Station as well. We’ll be back in October. Thank you very much.

This Accommodation has only five Rooms, yet it has two private baths, and you can use them anytime if they are available. I used them four times. The hot water was excellent. It’s a 4-minute walk to Yubatake, but there are many slopes, so it was great to relax in the Accommodation’s private baths. There is also a convenience store nearby. The breakfast was generous and delicious! All the staff were very kind.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The three of us—my 92-year-old mother, my husband, and I—found and chose this Accommodation online, and everything was excellent. We were able to relax in the renovated Japanese-style Room and bedroom. Although it is an Accommodation where you can stay with your dog, it felt very clean, and it seemed that every corner was thoroughly cleaned. The meals were also very delicious, and the boat platter was more than we could finish. It was disappointing that we couldn’t go cruising due to the typhoon, but since it was before summer vacation there were no crowds, we could get around smoothly, and we fully enjoyed a wonderful trip to Izu. Thank you again. We would love to stay here again.

It had been a while since I last visited Hamamura Onsen. Ryofuan had a dignified presence and felt rich in history, but the town itself seemed a bit quiet. The value for money was great, the Onsen water was pleasantly soft, and I was satisfied with the meals, but it was disappointing that the Room refrigerator wasn’t useful.

If I had to pick the best part, it would definitely be the meals. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The staff member in charge during our meals was courteous and left a great impression. There are also two baths, so we were able to bathe without running into other guests too often.

I stayed here again for the first time in a year with my sister and my 95-year-old mother. We requested the same top-floor Room as last year, with a private bath. The bath is filled with Onsen water, and since my mother’s legs have weakened and she can’t go to the large public bath, our main purpose was to let her soak in the Onsen. Another highlight is the wonderful service from the female staff at the dining venue—warm, pleasant, and truly excellent. The meals are of course delicious too (haha)! The only drawback is that the lounge in the first-floor lobby is not barrier-free. It would be perfect if there were a ramp.

The parking lot is a short walk away, but the Accommodation staff were very kind and guided us carefully. After check-in, we enjoyed unlimited beer (until 5:00 PM) and all-you-can-eat ice cream! We had some right after the Onsen— the open-air bath was piping hot! The building also had a charming, traditional atmosphere. We had dinner in our Room, and everything was delicious! Breakfast made for a truly happy morning as well. At night, it was nice to relax at the nearby footbath. We’ll be back!

Onsen and breakfast are perfect. There are many types of mochi available. Honestly, every breakfast item was delicious.

It was great to have an Onsen in the Room, and it was also great that we could use the private family bath free of charge 24 hours a day on this trip.

In this cozy building, the furnishings are thoughtfully chosen with understated care. The collection of Ko-Imari porcelain gathered by successive proprietresses is also superb. The meals were elegantly seasoned and paired wonderfully with drinks. It truly lives up to its reputation as the Accommodation that hosted the Meijin title match in shogi. I would love to return if I have the chance.

This was a family trip where relatives who usually live far away got together for the first time in several years (including seniors and a toddler). All staff were kind and attentive. The meals were delicious and plentiful (we had a late lunch, so we were too full and I’m sorry we left quite a lot). The view from the bath was lovely, right by the river with a great atmosphere. We stayed in the Room with six people, and it was spacious enough for our toddler to run around; the view from the window was amazing (river side). We were very satisfied.

I stayed here when I visited Ikaho Onsen with my wife and her parents. We used two Rooms, with two guests in each. The building felt a bit old, but both Rooms were well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right. The baths were also very clean. There is a private bath as well, but since we checked in early, we had the large public bath all to ourselves. My parents-in-law were very pleased, and we would like to stay again.

This is a very comfortable Accommodation among the Onsen Accommodations in Beppu. The price is reasonable, and since it is located in Kannawa Onsen, both the Hells Tour and the Steam Observation Deck are nearby. The Onsen was wonderful, with both private family baths and a large public bath. You can fully enjoy Beppu’s hot springs. The food is also delicious—especially the jigoku-mushi, which was excellent. The portions were just right for me as well. Also, because there was a controlled burn on Mt. Ogi on the day I stayed, they kindly adjusted my dinner time specially for me. The burn itself was a little different from what I expected due to rain the previous day, but it became a great memory. Thank you very much. I truly recommend this Accommodation.

This was our family’s first trip to Yufuin. Dinner was delicious, including Bungo beef, and the children’s meals were also luxurious and very generous in portion size. The Ryokan was even more impressive than we expected from the entrance—the interior was surprisingly spacious. We also loved the calm, hidden-retreat atmosphere and charming ambiance. One night wasn’t enough, so we would love to return if we have the chance again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for waiting for us even though we arrived late at night due to train delays. We made a Reservation with a breakfast-included Plan, and the portion size was just right for adults with a small appetite. While the building has a charming atmosphere, it was also a calm and clean Accommodation. In particular, the ceramics displayed throughout were all impressive, and we enjoyed taking our time to admire them. (They looked quite expensive, so families with energetic children may feel a bit nervous.) We would definitely like to stay again on our next trip to Beppu. Thank you very much.
