It’s been a while since my last stay. As always, the hot spring water in Kawaji is wonderful—I love it. This time I was really happy to get a riverside Room; a Room where you can hear the sound of the river is great. And soaking in the open-air bath while listening to the river and looking at the greenery right in front of you is so relaxing. For me, this is the best open-air bath anywhere. I definitely want to come again!!

There are an Onsen, a waterwheel soba restaurant, and a yakiniku izakaya within a 3-minute walk from the Hotel, so we had a very comfortable stay. The staff were also extremely courteous, and it made for a relaxing holiday. However, when we checked in and entered the Room, it was completely dark and we couldn’t find the light switch. We would have appreciated it if the blinds had been left slightly open.

I’ve stayed here several times when traveling to the Izu area, and it’s an excellent value for the price.

This was my first stay, and the ocean view from the front desk was wonderful. The Room was clean and spacious, and I had a lovely time. The meals offered a wide variety, and I’d love to enjoy them again. The staff were kind, making this a Hotel where you can stay with peace of mind.

Following last year’s stay, we visited again this year, and my mother and sister also stayed in separate Rooms. With more people traveling together, it was a wonderful trip. My mother and sister, who joined us this year, were very happy as well. At every meal, we ate until we were completely full and enjoyed a great time together.

It seems to be a labor-saving style of operation, but the only staff we met were two front desk members, and they were both very pleasant and helpful. Having to make up the futon ourselves was actually nice, as it meant we didn’t have to worry about being a bother. The spa with a sauna and the meals are in the main building, but it’s less than a 5-minute walk away; there is a slight uphill slope, but it wasn’t an issue. We were able to enjoy the sauna and Onsen for long hours both on the day of arrival and again early the next morning. Dinner was buffet-style with all-you-can-eat salmon roe and steak. Since it was an inexpensive stay, we didn’t have high expectations, but the salmon roe had a great pop and the steak was tender and delicious. Breakfast was also lavish—I felt one hour wasn’t enough. Just one thing: I couldn’t tell whether some of the in-house loungewear had already been used, so I had to deduct a star. Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

There is only one elevator, which can cause some congestion during the morning and evening hours. Other than that, there are no issues at all.

I stayed here for the Onsen, but the food was delicious, and the staff were very kind. The building and the room were old, but I liked the nostalgic atmosphere. When leaving, the grandmother of the Ryokan waved until my car was out of sight, which touched my heart. I had a wonderful time.

We stayed in a barrier-free Room. The Room had been nicely renovated and was comfortable. However, the washroom and toilet doors are automatic, and the noise was quite noticeable. Especially at night, whenever a family member went to the toilet, I woke up each time. The meals were tasty overall, but I felt they could have featured a bit more of Tokachi’s local character. The large public bath had a spacious washing area, but the bathtub felt small. The bath in our Room was spacious and comfortable, but the water was very hot, so we needed to adjust the temperature by adding cold water. We stayed for two nights as a family, and although there were a few points of concern, we had an overall comfortable stay.

It was my first time staying here! The front desk staff were very welcoming at check-in, and although the Room felt a bit old, it was spacious and comfortable! I used the large public bath and the private bath—both were excellent! I was also satisfied with the meals! I’d love to come again.

It was a very dog-friendly Hotel. They had almost everything we needed except food, so we could stay with peace of mind. The open-air bath had a standing bath with a panoramic view of Lake Shinji, and since it was my first time, I was truly impressed. The Onsen while watching the sunrise was the best! The Hotel itself isn’t new, but it was well maintained and perfectly clean, so there was no discomfort at all. If I get the chance again, I’d love to stay here with my dog! Thank you very much.

I stayed in a double Room. There was a low bed on a slightly raised platform, and I was able to relax as if I were in my own Room. There was no open-air bath, but the spacious Onsen was very pleasant. Overall, everything felt very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

A relaxing trip with my grandchild and three sisters. Since it was just over 10,000 yen per person, we didn’t have very high expectations, but the front desk staff were kind and explained everything clearly. The Room was more spacious than we expected, which was great, but it was disappointing that the floor cushions were old and worn. The meals were delicious, with plenty of desserts that we enjoyed as well. Above all, the staff who assisted us in the dining area and hallways—and everyone we met—spoke to us kindly and made us feel comfortable. Regardless of the Accommodation cost, a good personality really matters. It was very good overall.

The Facilities and meals are standard for an Itoen Group Hotel and are by no means luxurious, but the value for money is excellent. More than that, the staff were cheerful and very courteous, which made our stay truly pleasant. Thank you very much.

I stayed here as a solo traveler. The staff gave me a warm welcome, and even though it was my first time at this Accommodation, I felt at ease throughout my stay. Their service was pleasantly attentive without being overbearing, which made it especially comfortable to stay alone. The Onsen had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, and I was able to soak slowly and unwind from everyday fatigue. The water felt wonderful—I found myself wanting to return again and again. The interior was also very comfortable, and I truly enjoyed a leisurely pace of time. This is an Accommodation I can recommend to anyone who wants to relax on their own. I would love to stay here again when I’m in the area.

It was a beautiful Ryokan. Since the price was low, I wondered what it would be like, but it was very clean and a relaxing Accommodation.

The Room we stayed in was very spacious. The bedroom and a separate lounge area with a sofa were divided into two spaces. Having an indoor bath that we could enjoy as many times as we liked at any time was wonderful. Both the Japanese breakfast and dinner were delicious. One small disappointment was that there were no extra amenity towels provided. At times, trash had not been cleared away in the tasting corner. However, overall it is a very clean Hotel, the hot water is excellent, and the meals were satisfying, so we would definitely like to stay again.

This was my third stay. Each time, I have stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with an open-air bath. The spacious in-room open-air bath is large enough for four people, and you can enjoy the golden hot spring water. There is also a shower room, and I feel the price is very reasonable. The service was courteous, and the front desk staff at check-in were especially friendly, with a bright smile that left a great impression. Also, the restaurant staff member from overseas spoke excellent Japanese and carefully cleared empty dishes without making noise. I have stayed at about four Itoen Hotels, but this Grand Hotel is my favorite. I will make another Reservation.

Not only was the price reasonable, but the Room was clean and the food was delicious. It exceeded my expectations. My mother has difficulty walking, and they kindly lent us a wheelchair; the staff were also very helpful. It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a couple. The open-air bath was outstanding—easily the best among all the Onsen Accommodations we’ve stayed at. The water quality was excellent, and we were able to fully enjoy Manza Onsen’s signature milky, cloudy waters to our heart’s content. It was our first time trying a mixed-gender open-air bath, but we decided to go in together “since we were here and wanted to make a memory.” We were a little nervous at first, but it turned into a truly fun experience and an unforgettable memory for us as a couple. When I asked a staff member who was cleaning the washing area by the open-air bath, they responded very politely, and I really appreciated the kind service. The meals were more than satisfying, and the Room was spacious and comfortable—there wasn’t anything to complain about. Before staying, I thought, “At this price point, it’ll probably be about what you’d expect,” but after actually staying here, it far exceeded our expectations. It honestly felt like twice the value for money—we’re extremely satisfied. Next time, we’d love to visit in another season and enjoy these wonderful hot springs again.
