[Room] The Room was very spacious and clean. There were five of us (two adults and three children), and we stayed very comfortably. There were two beds, and we laid out three futons in the open space, but there was still plenty of room. Amenities were available in the lobby for guests to take what they needed, and it was nice that we could also take tea, coffee, and even snacks—not just toiletries. [Service] All staff members were friendly and helpful with a smile. We also appreciated them carrying our luggage from the car at the entrance. The dining staff were energetic and efficient, quickly clearing empty plates. [Baths] The large public bath and open-air bath were very spacious and relaxing. You could also choose from different shampoos. There were seven types of private family baths, and my wife and kids tried several of them. Best of all, all seven types can be used for free when available—amazing! It didn’t seem overly crowded either. The water in the cold-water dispenser in the public bath area didn’t feel very cold. I wanted to use the massage chairs, but they were often busy so it was hard to get a turn. Also, the foot area on the massage chairs was dirty and felt a bit unhygienic. It would be great if this could be checked regularly. [Meals] The buffet had a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. You could make your own seafood rice bowl with sashimi, which was especially tasty. Thoughtful touches like buffet carts and elastic bands to keep yukata sleeves out of the way were wonderful. [Facility & Equipment] The entire Facility was extremely clean. All floors are shoes-off areas, but walking barefoot never felt uncomfortable at all. We also appreciated that socks for indoor use were included in the Room towel set—a nice touch. You can choose between yukata or samue loungewear; many guests wore samue, including our family. Free welcome drinks and complimentary ice cream after bathing made everything feel wonderfully generous. There are plenty of kid-friendly areas such as a play space, a family game corner, table tennis, etc., so our children had an absolute blast.

We stayed with a large group, gathering relatives from Ehime and the Kansai area. For our Konpira pilgrimage, the entrance had walking sticks, straw hats, chilled hand towels, and towels prepared, which was very helpful. It was also nice that our grandfather, who wasn’t going to Konpira-san, was allowed to use the lounge before check-in. The indoor bath also had a separate shower room, making it comfortable and relaxing even on rainy or cold days. The Room had a large window, a daybed, and two chairs, so we were able to unwind and relax. Breakfast was an irresistible selection for egg lovers—we really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the dinner buffet selection. There were a lot of carbohydrates (maybe just local preference), but neither the meat nor fish dishes tasted particularly good, and there wasn’t much we wanted to eat. Still, we were able to relax with drinks again in the lounge afterward, so overall we were satisfied.

I thought it was a very nice Ryokan. Even though the building and Facility are understandably old, all of the staff were wonderful. Dinner had a wide variety of dishes, and for my growing son they kindly provided extra white rice in addition to the final rice course, which we really appreciated. The attendant was also very kind, and we enjoyed our meal at a relaxed pace. There were several baths and we couldn’t try them all, but I’d definitely like to come back and enjoy them again. One small downside was that the shower temperature in the bath area wasn’t consistent, but overall it was a great stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This was our second stay, and we stayed with my elderly mother. We thoroughly enjoyed the conger eel dinner and the Japanese breakfast. We were also able to relax comfortably in the barrier-free private open-air bath. Thank you to all the Hotel staff for your courteous service.

On the recommendation of an acquaintance who lives in Ibusuki, I stayed here in March and April this year. What stands out most about Ginsho is the delicious food! In addition to fresh local sashimi, the freshly fried Satsuma-age was exceptional. The seasoning was not too strong, and the portions were just right. The Onsen water quality was also excellent. I was able to relax and unwind.\n\nThe friendly and wonderful proprietress, whose warm personality truly shows in her smile, took great care of me. All of the staff were kind and provided very pleasant service. I will visit again soon. Thank you very much for everything!

We stayed in a Japanese-style Room with a private open-air bath fed directly from the source. First, about the Onsen: the open-air bath in our Room was truly luxurious and easy to access from the Japanese-style Room. Even though it was still a bit chilly seasonally, we were able to use it comfortably. The large public bath is located in a secure area inside the building, and although we stayed just before a holiday weekend and had it almost to ourselves, we never felt uneasy about safety. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very comfortable. As a result, we enjoyed going back and forth between the private open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath many times! Next, about the meals: dinner was very filling, and we enjoyed a wide variety of local ingredients from appetizers through to the main course. The luxury items—especially grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) marinated in yuzu sauce and Noto beef—were beyond what we had imagined. Breakfast also offered various delicious “rice companions” that paired perfectly with great rice, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Since this is not a new building, I was initially concerned about heating and other measures against the cold, but there were no issues with temperatures either in our Room or throughout the Facility. We were able to relax comfortably in a spacious, clean, calm Japanese-style Room. We had packed plans for the next day as well, so we left early on the first Shuttle Service bus; looking back, I think it would have been nice to take things slower at this Accommodation. There aren’t many places to visit right around this Accommodation, but we did enjoy short walks such as Rosanjin’s Iroha Soan and around an atmospheric public bath area nearby. Access is also reasonable: it’s about 10–15 minutes by Shuttle Service bus from Kagaonsen Station (and it takes only around 5 minutes from getting off the Shinkansen to boarding). There isn’t a lobby café or trendy services like breakfast buffets that you often see these days; however, for anyone who wants to unwind at a calm Ryokan with an old-fashioned sense of comfort and security above all else, I can highly recommend this Accommodation. It may also be because we splurged somewhat on a good Room option they prepared for us, but overall my spouse and I were completely satisfied—we couldn’t find anything to fault. Lastly, thank you very much to our attendant for your warm hospitality. We would love to stay again.

This was our first stay at this Accommodation, and we really liked it—the atmosphere was great, and the Room was spacious and very relaxing. It’s also close to Yubatake, so getting to Yubatake in the daytime and when it’s lit up at night, as well as shopping for souvenirs or grabbing a quick drink or meal, was no problem. Since it isn’t right around Yubatake, we were able to spend the nights quietly. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kusatsu.

The mist felt like a shower of beauty serum, and my skin became truly soft and deeply moisturized. After enjoying the hot stone sauna, the open-air bath, and the radon Onsen, even my knee pain had eased by the time I left. I was amazed—my knee could bend again! The staff were all very warm and welcoming, and breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. I prefer this style over a buffet. I would love to visit again.

The room, with its white-based design and high ceiling, felt clean and relaxing with heated wooden flooring. The semi-open-air bath in the room was spacious, filled with plenty of silky smooth water. Having a water dispenser was also very convenient. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making the experience truly delightful. The staff showed great care and attention to my elderly mother, allowing us to enjoy our stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

We stayed in a two-room suite with a view of the townscape roofed with Sekishu tiles. The view itself wasn’t great—more like looking at the neighboring house—but it was more than made up for by the hospitality and the food. This wasn’t typical Ryokan cuisine; the dishes were thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients. Hot items were served hot and freshly made. We stayed on the day of the fireworks festival before Obon. After taking a bath, we lay down until dinner, watching the sunset and listening to insects—it felt wonderful. We went to Yakushiyu before dinner, but it was hot while waiting there, and since the Accommodation’s bath was so good, we wished we had used the Accommodation’s bath in the evening and gone to Yakushiyu early in the morning instead. In the hallway, as part of their hospitality, there was a refrigerated case where each guest could choose one drink—beer, juice, or water. That made us happy. And about the fireworks: we expected a small rural display, but it kept going for nearly 30 minutes without getting boring—it was very well planned. We’d like to stay again around this time next year before Obon.

From arrival to check-out, we had a very comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with such generous portions that we couldn’t finish everything. The staff were kind and their warm smiles were wonderful. When we visit the Nanki-Katsuura area again, we would love to stay at Manshiro again.

This was our second stay. The new Room had a private indoor bath, and we were truly satisfied. Dinner was French cuisine, and every dish prepared by the delightful chef was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. We would love to visit again.

I stayed here to visit Akiyoshido Cave and the Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau. It was a very fine Hotel, the Room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Yuda Onsen has an abundant supply of hot water, and the baths were excellent. A staff member near the front desk told me about highlights around Yuda Onsen, so I visited the Nakahara Chuya Memorial Museum, Rurikoji Temple, and Yamaguchi Xavier Memorial Church. Since it was Sunday, hymns could be heard and it felt very solemn; the temple also had an impressive five-story pagoda. It’s a compact town, but it was interesting and perfect for half a day of sightseeing. As for the Accommodation itself, it did feel slightly aged in places, but the meals were luxurious and the fugu sashimi was delicious. There may have been a few too many dishes overall—I was already quite full by the time I got to items like fried ayu. Personally, I felt ayu wasn’t really necessary. Also, I would have appreciated complimentary mineral water as an amenity; most Accommodations offer it these days, so I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t any. The footbath next to the Accommodation had also dried up—whether due to water shortages or energy saving measures, it felt a little sad. In any case, thank you very much for your hospitality. Overall I had a very positive impression, though personally I would have preferred slightly lighter meals. The Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau offers truly one-of-a-kind panoramic views that I’d love to see again, so I may return in the future—thank you in advance when that time comes.

We previously had an amazing time watching the Atami fireworks up close, so we came back with our dog. With its consistently great location, we were able to fully enjoy the fireworks festival again. Our family loves this place so much that we’d happily stay here again and again, but we would appreciate it even more if you could consider the following: For a Multiple Night Stay with takeout meals, there are clearly not enough dishes and utensils. It would be very helpful to have dish soap and a sponge, paper towels, and large trash bags. We also used the instant ramen vending machine on the 2nd floor, which our child loved. However, there are only a few topping options available compared to the number of ramen servings in stock. We would be happy if you could consider restocking more frequently or increasing the amount provided. That said, I think we’ll be back again. Next time, we’d love to enjoy the autumn/winter fireworks as well. Thank you very much.

No wonder so many guests rate this Ryokan so highly!! The staff were simply wonderful, and I was impressed from the very start of the morning. Although the staff member assisting us was not Japanese, the explanations were clear and made us excited for the day right away. The half-buffet offered nothing but delicious choices, and we loved being able to grill items over charcoal at our own table. We were completely satisfied from breakfast onward! Even after checkout, they saw us off with warm smiles—this has become one of the Ryokan we definitely want to visit again. Thank you to all the staff.

We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Room was clean, the view was great, and it was very comfortable. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and we were impressed throughout. Above all, the food was outstanding. We were amazed by the live ice cream presentation, the live rolled-omelet presentation, and two surprise dishes that weren’t even on the menu. Everything was truly delicious, beautifully presented, and the decorative vegetable carvings were adorable. As someone who doesn’t eat much, I couldn’t finish it because it was so filling—so even big eaters will be satisfied with the portion size. There were also many kinds of drinks available with unlimited refills, and we really felt their warm hospitality. We would love to come again! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but this was the first one that felt absolutely flawless! I fell in love at first sight with the stunning rock bath scenery on YouTube and made a Reservation for the Yoimachi Room. The open-air bath was spacious, and the view from it was so breathtaking it nearly brought me to tears. The hot spring water was silky-smooth, and my skin felt amazing! The food was also delicious, and even the rice tasted exceptional. The nikujaga served at breakfast was so good that I’d love to ask—if you don’t mind—whether the soy sauce you use is light soy sauce or a type used mainly in Kyushu. The Room was wonderfully quiet as well, and I could truly relax. I definitely want to come back for a special occasion. Next year, I’ll visit one of your sister properties too.

Walking from Hakone-Yumoto Station while browsing for souvenirs, then passing through the main street lined with shops, it was also a delight to reach the Accommodation while being soothed by the lush riverside scenery. The all-you-can-drink service during our stay was also great, with a wide selection including draft beer and sparkling wine. For dinner, we chose the seafood shabu-shabu Plan, and it came not only with several kinds of fish but also scallops and crab; there were plenty of vegetables as well, and everything was delicious. The other dishes were served in small portions so we could enjoy a variety of items, and they looked beautiful too—we enjoyed them very much. Breakfast was also colorful and wholesome, with steamed vegetables, grilled fish, rice accompaniments, and more—delicious food that felt gentle on the body. Neither meal felt lacking at all, but it also wasn’t so much that we couldn’t finish—just the right level of fullness. The Room was clean, comfortable, and easy to relax in. The view from the Room was green and pleasant as well, though artificial fencing made it slightly disappointing. The Onsen was comfortable in temperature and very relaxing in both the large public bath and the private bath. The ice pops after bathing were also a welcome service. All of the staff had wonderful smiles and were kind throughout our stay, making us feel very comfortable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

There are three types of Onsen: a private open-air bath, a family bath, and a large public bath—all of which were very satisfying. The meals were also delicious. We were able to spend a quiet, relaxing, and happy time.

I stayed for one night on September 4. Due to the typhoon, it rained all day, but I was extremely satisfied with everything—the convenient location near the station, the Onsen, the guest room (2F Japanese-modern style), the meals, and the service. The other guests staying that day also had a refined atmosphere. A good Hotel really is good. I usually only travel on a budget, so this was quite a culture shock for me. I will definitely return, and I’d like to try other Forest Resort affiliated Hotels as well.
