Although we only stayed for just under six hours on a day trip this time, it was a soothing space where we could relax and feel refreshed after a long time. The full-course kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented with a seasonal touch and was absolutely delicious. Next time, we would definitely like to return for an overnight stay.

We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Room was clean, the view was great, and it was very comfortable. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and we were impressed throughout. Above all, the food was outstanding. We were amazed by the live ice cream presentation, the live rolled-omelet presentation, and two surprise dishes that weren’t even on the menu. Everything was truly delicious, beautifully presented, and the decorative vegetable carvings were adorable. As someone who doesn’t eat much, I couldn’t finish it because it was so filling—so even big eaters will be satisfied with the portion size. There were also many kinds of drinks available with unlimited refills, and we really felt their warm hospitality. We would love to come again! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

I stayed here with my mother, who is 90 years old. 1. All the staff were very kind, and we had a comfortable stay. 2. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including beef grilled on a lava stone plate, sashimi, fugu sashimi, and fried shrimp—everything was excellent and very satisfying. 3. The bath was very spacious and we fully enjoyed the Onsen, but it would have been even better if there had been a rock seat suitable for half-body bathing. 4. The building and our Room had been renovated, and everything was well cleaned and maintained—very nice overall. 5. Overall: This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

It was a truly wonderful stay. The meals were delicious, and the freshly cooked rice was especially outstanding. The tea shabu-shabu was also excellent. The Room had a great atmosphere, and the premium lounge was lovely as well, so we were able to relax and unwind. This is an Accommodation I would love to return to again and again.

I personally love the Genroku-no-Yu bath, though it may not be to everyone’s taste. The route to the annex can be hard to find, so it’s best to ask the front desk for clear directions first.

The staff were very kind and helpful, which made our stay wonderful. With this Plan, we were able to use the private bath free of charge. Since there are only a few guest rooms, we enjoyed a calm, relaxing atmosphere where we could clearly hear the sound of the clear stream. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

I gave my elderly mother, who can go anywhere on her own, a solo trip as a gift. When she returned home, she was truly delighted and spoke very highly of the wonderful service provided by the Ryokan staff. The meals were also delicious, and above all, it seems she was able to relax completely. Thank you very much. We stayed for one night with our dog. The dog’s name tag was adorable. We were very satisfied with the meals, the Room, the bath, and the complimentary drink service—it was so comfortable that it made us want to stay another night. Since it was raining, we didn’t go to Matsumotoro’s baths, but we’re already talking about going next time.

It was a wonderful Accommodation where we could relax, take our time, and unwind. All the staff greeted us with smiles and guided us efficiently and pleasantly. From the Room window, the Hoki River flowed swiftly, and the sound of the water was quite loud, but we actually found it soothing and it added to the feeling of being on a trip. The Onsen included a large public bath and an open-air bath, and the water temperature was just right—very comfortable. However, depending on where you stand, you may be able to see into the bathroom from the Room window, so those who are concerned may want to be mindful of that. For dinner, they kindly changed a meat dish to a fish dish; my husband, who doesn’t like meat, was very happy, and everything was delicious—we enjoyed great conversation as well. Also, being able to dine in a private room was a plus: it felt more relaxed than in-room dining while still allowing us to enjoy our meal calmly without worrying about others nearby. With an 11:00 check-out time, we were able to take it easy in the morning too—this Accommodation was perfect for my husband and me as we like taking small trips for rest and a change of pace. It was my first time experiencing Moor Onsen. Compared to other Onsen, it felt noticeably silkier (which made the benefits feel even more tangible), and the water temperature was not too hot—just right—so I ended up soaking for a long time. I was feeling a bit tired at dinner, and the staff were very attentive in many ways; I was truly impressed by their hospitality.

The building is a bit old, but the service, meals, and Onsen were all excellent. The staff’s warm hospitality made our stay truly wonderful. Thank you very much.

On a friend’s recommendation, I stayed here. They told me, “If you’re going to Shiretoko, you have to stay here,” and I didn’t really get it at first—but once I arrived, I understood how wonderful this Hotel is. First of all, the parking lot is close by. It may seem minor, but when you’re carrying travel luggage, it’s absolutely essential. Then there’s the entrance and the spacious interior with a view of Shiretoko’s harbor in the distance—it immediately got me excited. After settling into my Room, I explored the property. I enjoyed the all-inclusive snacks and wine that I’d been looking forward to. Some places offer mediocre drinks and snacks—but not here. Every single item was delicious. Not wanting to overdo it and ruin dinner, I kept it reasonable… and then came dinner. I went in without doing any research beforehand—amazing, delicious, all-you-can-eat, and impossible to try everything. Each dish was exceptionally well made. I’ve been to many all-inclusive places before, but this one has become a favorite. I also really enjoyed both the baths and breakfast. And I had the chance to fully appreciate the sound from the Paragon speakers as well. The next day, I planned to go whale watching in Rausu, but it was canceled due to rough seas. Still—I’m determined to come back for a retry in Shiretoko. When I do, I’ll definitely stop by again. Thank you very much.

Although it was the cheapest Plan, the Room was spacious and clean, and the half-buffet meals were very filling. Since there are many international guests, I wished there had been bread at breakfast—this was the only downside—but otherwise the staff were kind and I was very satisfied. Next time, I’d like to stay in a Room with a private open-air bath.

Thank you for taking care of our family of four for one night and two days. One of us was delayed due to work and might not have made it in time for dinner. When we informed the staff, they kindly changed our dining Room and made various thoughtful arrangements so that even if we arrived late, we could relax without rushing. We were in a difficult situation, and I was truly moved by your deep hospitality. From the moment I arrived at the Ryokan, the Hotel staff warmly welcomed me, and check-in was smooth. Everyone on the Hotel team was highly professional, and the property was spotless, making my stay very comfortable. The food had delicate flavors, and the portions were just right—neither too much nor too little. Both dinner and breakfast felt perfectly balanced. The baths are cleaned once between check-in and the next morning, with a men’s/women’s switch as well. I also appreciated being able to use them multiple times even late at night or early in the morning.

I visit on business every year, but this was my first stay in Kaike Onsen. Since I was here for work, I wasn’t expecting anything special, but not only was the Onsen wonderful—the meals were excellent as well. The sunset over the Sea of Japan from our spacious Room was absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely like to stay again next time. Thank you very much.

It was a lovely, relaxing Accommodation. When my shoes got soaked in the heavy rain and I didn’t know what to do, you kindly took care of them separately, so I was able to go sightseeing the next day without any discomfort. Thank you very much. The food was also delicious, and for just the two of us (my daughter and me) it was quite a lot—but it was so good that we ate it all. Just one thing… Since the forecast low temperature was in the low 20s °C, I turned off the air conditioner before going to sleep, but I ended up drenched in sweat. I turned it back on and got back into bed, but because the yukata fabric was fairly thick, it still felt hot. Thinking about it calmly afterward, this is a cold area in winter, so I completely forgot that the Room would be well insulated. Still, it’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

Staying at Kisshotei with my family this time was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing, the room was clean and cozy, and the staff were all very kind. The meals and hot spring experience were excellent. My family had a wonderful stay, and it left us with great memories from this trip. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi and mobile signal were somewhat unstable, which made it a little inconvenient to use. If this can be improved in the future, the stay would be even more perfect. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I visit Yamanaka Onsen again, I would love to stay at Kisshotei again!

I stayed here with my parents and cousin. It was my first time in Kurokawa Onsen, and it’s a truly wonderful place. Among the many Accommodations, “Yamamizuki” was a Ryokan that left us extremely satisfied. [Setting & Baths] The rain we had been worried about never came, so we were able to relax and take our time. Since it was the perfect season, we were moved to be able to watch fireflies from the bath. I also recommend visiting in June. [Meals] Both the portion size and taste were ideal. Rather than the over-the-top extravagance that can be common at a Ryokan, the dishes felt genuinely “just right,” with thoughtful attention throughout. [Hospitality & Service] There seemed to be many international staff members, but their sincerity really came through, and their service was pleasant. With a comfortable sense of distance—not too close, not too far—the hospitality was also exactly “just right.” My parents and cousin were delighted as well, which I think says it all. I would love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying here. Many of the staff are young and from overseas, but their Japanese is excellent, and I was amazed by how exceptionally polite and attentive their service was. Above all, you can really feel how hard they work. I had a very pleasant stay. In particular, the young woman who explained the meals and the man at the front desk during check-in—both were foreign nationals—and they were simply outstanding. The Ryokan itself has a wonderful traditional atmosphere, and I was very satisfied. We stayed to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, and she was delighted as well! Next time, I’d like to bring my daughter.
