Founded in 1895 (Meiji 28), Naritaya boasts over 100 years of history and is the second oldest Ryokan in Kamisuwa. The origin of Naritaya lies in the deep faith of the founder's predecessor in Narita Fudo. Following a divine message from Fudo-sama to "start an inn," the establishment was named Naritaya, and its hot spring was called Fudo no Yu. After the war, many Ryokans in Kamisuwa relocated from the Koshu Kaido route to the lakeside, adopting luxurious designs and higher accommodation fees, making it difficult to find affordable lodging. However, Naritaya continued operations at its current location and transitioned to a Hotel-style format in 1981 (Showa 56), maintaining its welcoming atmosphere to this day.On the top floor, enjoy a panoramic view of Suwa's nightscape while relaxing in the natural Onsen with a source-fed, open-air bath. Despite being a Business Hotel, you can unwind in a genuine hot spring. We also offer a covered private parking area, allowing you to check in and out without getting wet in rain or snow! It also provides shade from the summer sun, making it highly popular among guests arriving by car or motorcycle.
