In the 10th year of the Showa era, the year following Unzen's designation as Japan's first national park, the Unzen Resort Hotel was established for foreign vacationers.

Originally situated in the town center, we relocated to this peaceful location to create a relaxing environment surrounded by gardens. The accommodation is entirely wooden and consists of just 23 rooms, ensuring personal attention from the host. Enjoy soaking in the onsen, admiring the garden views, and savoring our unique cuisine. We prioritize simplicity over extravagance and aim to provide an unobtrusive yet thoughtful experience. Hearing "I had a relaxing stay" is our greatest joy as an accommodation provider.

Established in 1911, this traditional Ryokan offers a prime location just an 8-minute walk from Yufuin Station and features an "open-air bath with a spectacular view" of Mount Yufu. Starting February 2024, dinner will be transformed into an executive buffet style, featuring live kitchen stations where you can enjoy freshly prepared dishes such as Oita Wagyu teppanyaki steak and other creations made with carefully selected local ingredients from Oita. For breakfast, indulge in a variety of options including live kitchen offerings, Oita's local specialties, and a wide selection of desserts.
