The Western-style building adjacent to the Tachikawa family residence and store, constructed in Meiji 34 (1901) and designated as Hokkaido's first Important Cultural Property in Showa 46 (1971), was expanded in Taisho 4 (1915) by the fourth-generation Tachikawa Zenkichi as a dedicated reception room. The Corinthian column capitals at the entrance feature acanthus leaf decorations.
