The Western-style building adjacent to the Tachikawa family residence and store, constructed in Meiji 34 (1901) and designated as Hokkaido's first Important Cultural Property in Showa 46 (1971), was expanded in Taisho 4 (1915) by the fourth-generation Tachikawa Zenkichi as a dedicated reception room. The Corinthian column capitals at the entrance feature acanthus leaf decorations. Under the eaves of the second floor, there are also highly decorative carved brackets, evoking the splendor of the Taisho era.

Kyoto, a city that has created many beautiful things throughout its long history. The blend of modern beauty with its old streets makes the entire city resemble a unique art piece. "THE MACHIYA KAZAHAYA," born in a corner of this city, is a space where the tradition of Kyoto townhouses and modern essence coexist. It features six rooms with different designs. The charming old features have been carefully restored to reflect the original design, and in the Room with an irori (traditional Japanese hearth), you can look up to see the thatched roof attic, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Located between the World Heritage Site Hiraizumi and the fishing port town of Kesennuma, this area was once a small village that developed alongside the Kitakami River. Unlike typical tourist destinations, the surroundings are rich in nature, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We have set the check-out time at 12:00 PM, allowing you to fully enjoy a leisurely stay.

Nestled in a narrow alley near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nishi Honganji Temple, "Suzu Tsukinuke" offers a unique stay. The name "Tsukinuke-cho," which is also part of the facility's name, originates from the time when Toyotomi Hideyoshi created a thoroughfare connecting Kamigyo and Shimogyo, leading to the establishment of this town. The first floor represents Shimogyo with an inviting green-themed interior showcasing craftsmen's tools and traditional crafts to reflect its artisan roots.
