Kanko Hotel Daimonkaku is an accommodation where you can enjoy the freshest seafood from Genkai-nada, with "Yobuko's Live Squid Sashimi" as its main attraction.The live squid, known for its high transparency and crunchy texture, is a specialty of Yobuko that attracts visitors from across the whole country. In addition to squid, we offer seasonal seafood such as sea bream, abalone, sea urchin, and turban shell in carefully prepared kaiseki cuisine by our head chef.From the separate men’s and women’s panoramic large baths, you can enjoy views of Nago Bay and Yobuko Bridge. At night, the quiet fishing lights create a serene atmosphere, while in the morning you can witness the sunrise over the horizon. An open-air bath is also available for a more relaxing experience.Our rooms include four types: Japanese-style rooms and Japanese-Western style rooms featuring "Japanese-style room with beds" and "Deluxe Rooms," which were renovated in 2023. A Property with 15 rooms where you can fully enjoy the seafood of the San'in and Japan Sea. In winter, savor Matsuba crab; in summer, fresh squid; and in spring and autumn, Kasumi crab and premium fish like Nodoguro, all freshly caught at Kasumi Port in Hyogo Prefecture. The owner, being a broker, personally selects and purchases the seafood at auctions, ensuring exceptional freshness and quality. The Property was renovated in July 2021, introducing new Japanese-Western special rooms equipped with bedrooms and private baths, offering an extraordinary stay. Meals are served privately at individual table seating, and the open kitchen showcases freshly caught seafood of the day, which the chef prepares right in front of you upon special order. The large public bath features natural Kasumi Onsen (alkaline simple Onsen), with silver-lined mirrors and lighting creating a magical atmosphere to soothe your fatigue.

Mizuno Ryokan is located in a quiet area near Karatsu Castle, along the Ishigaki walking path. This culinary Ryokan offers natural seafood from Genkai Sea while enjoying views of Karatsu Bay. With its serene atmosphere and traditional Japanese architecture, it also features a tea room. Guests can also appreciate Karatsu pottery, including pieces from the Nakazato Taroemon Kiln.

It offers a tranquil space renovated from a Meiji-era coal mine owner's residence, serving fresh fish from Genkai and seasonal vegetables. The guest rooms with open-air ceramic baths, newly opened in the first year of Reiwa, are the only ones of their kind in Karatsu, with a Japanese garden spreading outside the windows.
