The Yumoto Saito Ryokan, with a history of 284 years, is a charming property blending the Shirahone Onsen and the traditional ambiance of Shinshu. The onsen, sourced from its own spring since the Kamakura period, is milky white and is said to be effective for gastrointestinal ailments. All 53 guest rooms are named after notable novelists and poets, offering a serene space for relaxation. Additionally, you can savor Japanese seasonal course meals featuring the bounty of Shinshu's mountains and rivers.

Located on the shores of Lake Toya, rooms facing the lake offer panoramic views of Lake Toya and Mount Yotei, and from late April to late October, you can enjoy the Lake Toya Long-Run Fireworks. The cuisine features a Japanese-style kaiseki meal utilizing seasonal local ingredients, allowing for a leisurely dining experience.

A Tyrolean-style pension nestled in the forest of the pension village adjacent to Madarao Kogen Ski Resort. Known for the warm hospitality of its kind female owner and the highly praised homemade dishes made with seasonal local ingredients. It serves as the office for "Madarao Jazz," and jazz concerts are held at the pension in November and March. The area is bustling with skiers and hikers exploring the Shinetsu Trail.
