Our accommodation, formerly known as Fukujyuin, has welcomed visitors to Togakushi in Nagano Prefecture as a traditional lodging for shrine pilgrims. The historic main building and the garden that reflects the changing seasons continue to offer a serene space passed down through generations. While we may not have the vastness or modernity of large hotels or resort facilities, we are dedicated to preserving this historic building within the sacred grounds of Togakushi and providing our guests with a relaxing space and time.

At the Property of Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei, it is just a 3-minute walk to the main hall. You can enjoy a tranquil and relaxing time in nature surrounded by Lake Biwa and Mount Hiei. From the special Japanese-Western style rooms, you can overlook Lake Biwa, and also enjoy this beautiful scenery from the spacious public bath. Additionally, you can savor coffee made with the delicious water of Mount Hiei at the café corner while admiring the view of Lake Biwa. Relish the vegetarian cuisine prepared without wasting ingredients.

Since its establishment by Kobo Daishi Kukai during the Heian period, Mount Koya has transcended all sects and continued to nurture its history as the general bodhi site of Japan. Located in front of the Seven Halls of the Great Temple Complex, adjacent to the head temple Kongobuji to the east, and backed by the mountain of Prince Kakuhou's Mausoleum, the special-status temple "Mount Koya Special-Status Temple Soujiji" is an ancient temple blessed with excellent Facilities and a grand garden. The guest rooms, set amidst the beautiful garden, are equipped with air conditioning and heating, offering a refreshing and serene atmosphere. Warmth in the severe cold, natural coolness in the summer—no matter the season, you are sure to enjoy a comfortable stay.

This property features three gardens designed by Mirei Shigemori, one of which is the first garden created in Koyasan and designated as a national registered monument. Each garden represents the abundant water of Koyasan, with the water flow connecting the three gardens. You can leisurely enjoy the seasonal beauty of these gardens.

At Koyasan Shukubo Ekoin, a Property that combines tradition and atmosphere with a comfortable environment, guests can enjoy free experiences such as morning Goma fire rituals, Ajikan meditation, and sutra copying. The "Gachirin" suite, the largest shukubo suite room in Koyasan, was introduced in 2022 and features a spacious bedroom, a private semi-open-air bath, and a garden, offering a luxurious stay. The Shojin Ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) follows the traditional methods of five principles: five methods, five flavors, and five colors, providing healthy dishes made with plenty of vegetables, seaweed, beans, and mountain plants.

Zenkouji, boasting a history of approximately 1400 years, enshrines Japan's oldest Buddha statue. Within its precincts lies a traditional property renowned for its vegetarian cuisine. Conceptualized as a Facility that bridges the gap between a Ryokan and a temple lodging, this Accommodation offers experiences such as zazen meditation, allowing you to connect with the spirit of Zen. Built using “Eiheiji Cedar” sourced from within the grounds of “Daihonzan Eiheiji Temple,” our property features 18 Japanese-Western style rooms and large communal baths separated by gender. The restaurant also serves shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) supervised by the temple. Located on the expansive grounds of Mount Nagara's hillside in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, is Enryakuji Temple (Miidera), boasting a 1,300-year history. Since the Heian period, it has been regarded as one of the four great temples alongside Todai-ji, Kofuku-ji, and Enryaku-ji. The temple holds 64 national treasures and 720 important cultural properties and has historical ties with notable warlords such as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Mouri Terumoto. Within the grounds of Miidera stands "Myogon-in," a structure with over 400 years of history that has recently served an essential role as a monk's quarters. Now available for use as accommodation for one group per day only.
