Enjoy a blissful moment with over 100 years of healing hot spring tradition, featuring natural flowing onsen water.

Meto Onsen Hotel has been cherished as a therapeutic hot spring since its opening in 1901. The Onsen water, unchanged since its discovery, is 100% natural, free-flowing from the source, with no reheating. Enjoy the alkaline simple Onsen with a pH of 9.5, flowing at 120 liters per minute at a source temperature of 60°C, emerging by the Nukanan River from the Daisetsu mountain range. Surrounded by pristine forests, the open-air baths offer a serene natural environment. Relax and rejuvenate in the 100% natural, free-flowing Onsen, and savor your time of bathing. In November 2024, we opened the secluded accommodation wing, "Suou no Iori." This exclusive one-group-per-day private villa is nestled in the heart of nature, featuring a luxurious natural Onsen open-air bath, a wooden deck, a dome-shaped sauna with a wood-burning stove (additional charge depending on the Plan), and an outdoor cold bath. For dining, we present "Yamasemi," a new gourmet space also established in 2024. This addition brings a touch of the extraordinary to the over 100-year history of the hidden gem, Meto Onsen.
