Thanks to the humidity-regulating properties of the diatomaceous earth plaster, the indoor air is gently balanced for a comfortable stay. By combining large-format tiles with mosaic tiles, we achieve both practicality and design—creating an artistic space that goes beyond the conventional image of wet areas. The washbasin counter is crafted from solid Nagano-grown wood that has been sun-dried in rhythm with the lunar cycle, and custom-designed as a one-of-a-kind built-in piece to suit the space. The texture of natural materials and handcrafted warmth bring calm to the entire room. In addition, we make use of natural materials as much as possible and minimize chemical substances, creating a gentle space with consideration for the environment. A quiet, comfortable design space in harmony with Hakuba’s nature. Restaurants such as cafés and izakayas are within a 5-minute walk. Day-use Onsen baths, supermarkets, and Iwatake Resort are all within a 10-minute drive.
