We were blessed with great weather and were extremely satisfied with the stunning views and the delicious, carefully prepared dishes (there was more than we could finish). The Asian foreign staff member who served us was very courteous, and their smile in particular left a lasting impression, making our trip truly wonderful. It’s far away, but this is an Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

Every year around this time, I stay here for a conference. In the past, I had to leave early the next morning due to work, but this time I had a little extra time and was able to enjoy breakfast. It was more lavish than I expected, with plenty of options, and I ended up eating more than usual. The Room was clean and well maintained, and I was very satisfied. There is also motorcycle parking in front of the entrance, and the large overhang seems to provide good protection from rain even for larger bikes.

I don’t usually stay at small Ryokan, but given the area, I felt comfortable doing so. The property and rooms were well maintained and very pleasant. Above all, the service was excellent. We ran late for dinner, and after checkout they even delivered a forgotten item to the station… I’m truly sorry for the trouble… yet everyone was smiling—thank you very much. The meals were also carefully prepared and delicious. If I have the chance, I’d like to stay again. Since I only used the public bath outside, I’m rating the Onsen bath a 3. Sorry.

I had never seen coral grass before, and since the Coral Grass Festival is in mid-September, I honestly didn’t have high expectations for an October stay. However, from the moment we entered the parking lot guided by the Kagariya signboard, all we could say was “Wow!” The two of us on this girls’ trip were greeted by a stunning view of fully bloomed coral grass. I had no idea the location was this perfect. Although the building is old, it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The highlight, however, was the food. When choosing the accommodation, I had looked at photos, and the simmered Kinki fish was the deciding factor. The freshly caught Kinki fish served was just as impressive, if not more. It was so delicious that we applauded. Every other dish was equally delightful, leaving us completely satisfied. We stayed in a room facing the lake, and the breathtaking view of Lake Notoro from the window in the morning was unforgettable. From sunrise to the changing light and the many birds flying in, even red-crowned cranes came to feed. Next time, I hope to enjoy a full-course Kinki fish meal.

The Room was thoroughly cleaned and well organized, to the point that you wouldn’t notice its age, so I felt at ease during my stay. Since the Room has an open-air bath, I could soak at my own pace and it was very comfortable. Best of all, I could relax and unwind while listening to the sound of the river flowing just below. All the staff who assisted me from check-in to check-out were kind. I rated it 4 stars because I felt the incense scent at the front desk was a bit too strong.

The building itself felt a bit old, and I noticed a slight odor inside, but the Onsen and seafood were truly outstanding. Since the large public bath alternates between men and women, I only used one side, but it was spacious and comfortable. The water left my skin smooth and moisturized—it felt amazing. There wasn’t a place inside the tub to sit (with about half your body out), so I couldn’t soak for too long, but the open-air bath had a great atmosphere and I could relax without worrying about others. Our Room came with a private open-air bath, and the tub was even larger than it looked in the photos—there was plenty of space for two people to stretch out comfortably. It might even fit around three people with ease. Best of all, it was free-flowing natural hot spring water, so fresh water kept pouring in continuously—it felt wonderfully luxurious and incredibly relaxing. The crab I’d been looking forward to was also delicious—I think it was my first time ever getting completely full from crab. I was very satisfied with the sashimi and the salmon at breakfast as well. Of course, the steak was also very juicy and tender... That said, it seems rice and miso soup at dinner were brought after we asked for them (I’m sorry—I must not have listened carefully because I was captivated by the beautiful crab right in front of me). By the time they arrived I was already quite full, so I wished I had requested them earlier. There were thoughtful touches throughout as well—like a footbath inside the property and self-serve coffee in the morning. Everyone at both the dining area and front desk greeted us with smiles and were very kind, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay; it ended up being a truly refreshing trip that helped us unwind. I would definitely like to stay again.

The complimentary drinks and soft-serve ice cream after check-in were a nice touch. There was also bread at breakfast, but it ran out quickly and wasn’t replenished afterward. There were no skincare items like toner, so be sure to bring your own! Great value with no unnecessary frills or extravagance, so I could relax without feeling self-conscious. The meals were pretty good as well. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

There was a payment issue, but the front desk staff handled it very well! I got a little lost on the way from the station, but I managed to get there. If you consider it a typical Business Hotel, I think the Facilities are reasonable. The breakfast rice porridge was delicious! If I go to Shimonoseki again, I’d like to stay here again.

The hot spring water was wonderfully silky. The bath area was clean and spacious, and from the open-air bath we could see a sky full of stars—I could have stayed in forever. We only had breakfast, but it was delicious and very filling. I think this is a lovely Accommodation where you can relax and feel at ease.

We had a wonderful, elegant time. The space itself reminded us of Japan all over again.

This was my first stay here. The staff were very courteous, and the meals offered a wide variety of dishes. Being served in the Room allowed us to relax and take our time. I did notice some dark staining on the shower hose and floor in the bathing area, but there were many types of facial cleansers and serums available, as well as horse oil shampoo, which left both my skin and hair feeling great. Early in the morning by the sea, I went fishing at a spot I was shown and caught plenty of good-sized whiting. Because of the heat, it was a short trip, but I was very satisfied with the catch. Next time, I’ll visit during a cooler season. Overall, I was extremely satisfied—especially with the meals! Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you again.

Due to the typhoon, we couldn’t make it to Amami Oshima, so we decided the day before and stayed here on our way back from Takachiho Gorge—and it was absolutely the right choice. The food was delicious, and the Room was clean. Since many people were surfing in the sea out front, I thought it might be an Accommodation popular with younger guests, but there was actually a wide range of ages.

We happened to stay right when the pool opened, but unfortunately the weather was terrible and we couldn’t swim. What a shame! Still, we were very satisfied with the Room atmosphere and the course meal, and we were able to relax thoroughly. We’ve visited Harvest in Nasu and Hakone (Sengokuhara), but it’s a pity that Katsuura doesn’t have an open-air bath. Sorry for being picky. We’ll be back again.

An easy walk from Akashi Station to the Accommodation. The Room was very spacious and felt wonderfully open. The bath also felt almost like a private bath, as it was nearly all to myself.\n\nI was looking forward to dinner, and it exceeded my expectations. It felt like there was a top-class chef here. From the way the dashi was prepared to how the vegetables were cut, every dish was carefully made, and I was truly satisfied. With its distinguished history—such as the Tokugawa family crest—this Accommodation delighted my history-loving husband as well.\n\nThank you for taking such good care of us.

Since we traveled by train, we really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Izu-Kogen Station. The Room was spacious, well cleaned, and very comfortable. The large public bath was also clean, and we were happy to enjoy the free-flowing Onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style. The taste was average, but there was a good variety, and we enjoyed local specialties such as sashimi, simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), and Shizuoka oden. The bread at breakfast was especially delicious. There were plenty of popular manga available at the front desk, which we could borrow and read in our Room. All staff were kind, and with thorough cleaning and well-stocked amenities, we felt their thoughtful attention to detail throughout our stay. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

We made a Reservation for a family trip. We chose this place because we have fond memories of staying at Nibukawa Onsen with our family about 40 years ago. The Onsen water was silky and very relaxing. The meals were delicious with a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied. The Room was spacious and clean. Everyone at the Hotel was kind and attentive, making our stay truly pleasant. We would love to stay again when we have the chance.

This was my first time staying at TAOYA. The Hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. There was a wide variety of food, and everything was truly delicious. The lounge offerings changed throughout the day, so it always felt fresh no matter when I visited. I will definitely come again.

I chose to stay nearby on purpose so I could relax. Overall, I was very satisfied. I think it’s a wonderful, calming Accommodation. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, with local specialties included so we never got bored. The bath was great as well, and I was able to unwind at my leisure. Since the building is old, there were a few areas that caught my attention, and I think an auto-lock would be better for the Room key. Because our meal time was late, there were food crumbs and some moisture on the floor around our seats, which felt unclean and was a bit disappointing. Also, personally, I might feel more comfortable in samue rather than yukata. I’d also like the in-room amenities to be a bit more complete. Despite these comments, I would definitely like to stay again in other areas as well.

As this was a “reasonably priced” Room, it was located directly beneath the restaurant. As expected, we didn’t hear chair-scraping or footsteps much, but the sound of people running around carried quite a bit. The chair noise in particular was really loud. However, this trip was just for two adults and we weren’t specifically looking for complete quiet—and since we also used that restaurant for meals, it was within an acceptable range. The Room was spacious and very clean, though it did feel a bit dated. We were told there would be no view, but given the location, it wasn’t like another building blocked everything or we couldn’t see outside at all. If you shifted your gaze slightly, you could enjoy a nature-filled view of Fukui’s wide-open fields, which we were very happy with. The restaurant buffet had a great variety and everything was delicious—I ate too much. It seemed seared bonito (tataki) was the featured item this time; I could only get it once, but it was excellent. The other seafood was also tasty, and there were grilled and fried dishes as well—an indulgent buffet that everyone from kids to seniors can enjoy. Above all else, the Onsen was wonderful. I didn’t realize Awara Onsen is not overly hot. There were also two open-air baths, so guests could take turns enjoying them without crowding—everyone’s good manners made us feel lucky. We stayed here because we had a memorial service in Fukui Prefecture, but there were so many things to enjoy inside the Accommodation—a table tennis area and manga corner—and there was even a morning market held in the lobby. One night wasn’t enough. Next time I’d love to come back for sightseeing at a more relaxed pace. Thank you as well for providing Shuttle Service to Awaraonsen Station.

Even though the building is 300 years old, it has been carefully maintained down to every detail, and we had a very comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were truly wonderful. We would love to visit Kurashiki again, and Yoshii Ryokan will be our only choice. Thank you very much!
