Perched on a hill in Katsuura, and with our Room on a high floor, we were thrilled by the Katsuura views from the balcony. The terracotta-toned living area also had a kitchen, refrigerator, and microwave, so we could relax in the Room at night with takeout side dishes we brought in. The sink area and toilet were both spacious and very convenient to use, and the bed was at a comfortable height so we slept soundly. The Onsen was free-flowing, with just the right temperature. The water felt silky and left our skin smooth; after soaking morning and night, my hip joints even felt more flexible. With breakfast included and a pool on site, it was an excellent value even during the busy summer season—overall a very satisfying trip. Just one thing: the toilet near the pool had a strong odor, which was bothersome.

I stayed here with my daughter on a trip to Yamaguchi. We drove from Shin-Shimonoseki to the Ryokan by rental car. Right after arriving, we enjoyed the footbath, then the granite bath. After a walk around, we returned to the Ryokan for the open-air bath. After dinner, we used the bath in our Room. In the morning, we went to the hinoki-wood bath. After breakfast, we used the Room bath again. We really enjoyed all the Onsen. It may just have been how I felt, but when I woke up in the morning my fingers weren’t stiff like usual—maybe it was an Onsen effect. The food was delicious, the riverside scenery was beautiful, and there were few tourists, so it felt like a hidden gem. The staff at this Ryokan were also very welcoming and made it feel homey. The building showed its age, but that gave it character. The only disappointment was that the air conditioner in our Room didn’t cool well and it was uncomfortable. Maybe it’s an older unit? Also, there was a musty smell in the Room (different from sulfur) that bothered me. Still, I’d like to visit again if I have another chance, and if friends ask me for recommendations for a good Onsen getaway, this is an Accommodation I’d suggest.

It was very close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and it was very convenient—easy to go back after my Reservation and also close to the shopping arcade for shopping. Breakfast was included, so I had it in the morning, but it was quite disappointing. I expected something like a Business Hotel breakfast, but there wasn’t much to eat and I struggled. I’m glad I didn’t add dinner. Still, because of the convenient location, I think I’ll use it again.

Rather than just being near Miho no Matsubara, it felt like there was a Ryokan right within it. You can easily take a walk to Miho no Matsubara and the beach. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we enjoyed the scent of hinoki in the in-room bath. If I have the chance, I would like to stay again.

Everything was excellent, from the service to the Facility meals. The beach is about a 5-minute walk away. The Room was clean. The Onsen was also great. I would like to stay again next year.

Since it had been rebranded and was offered at a campaign rate, we stayed in the Premium Suite. As expected, the Room was tastefully put together, and it truly felt like they had moved away from the image of an old-fashioned Onsen Ryokan. The private bath, which is usually available for a fee, was also provided free of charge. You make a Reservation through the Accommodation’s dedicated app, then pick up the key at the front desk when it’s time. We ended up departing early in the morning on short notice, but we’d like to stay here again when we visit Minami-Izu.

We were able to stay at a great price with a last-minute deal during heavy rain. The Room was disappointing in that there was no valuables box, and the toilet exhaust fan didn’t work. For valuables, we had to go all the way to the bath area on the 5th floor to use the valuables box there, then head to the far open-air bath on the 6th floor. The open-air bath was amazing. We went in during heavy rain wearing a woven hat, but there were only two, so other guests seemed inconvenienced. We enjoyed it enough and handed our umbrella over before leaving. It would be better if a few more were provided. Amenities in the Room were minimal, and anything else you need is placed on the 1st floor, so you go pick it up yourself. The pillow was very thin, so we borrowed one from three types of pillows available on the 1st floor. When I visited it was pouring rain and there weren’t many other guests, so pillows were still available—but I wonder if they restock them when it’s busy? As for meals, for this price they were acceptable. The steak was processed meat. It’s all-you-can-eat crab, but it’s better not to expect too much. There was also eel; warming it up on the hot plate after cooking steak made it tasty. For breakfast, the DIY rice bowl (toppings over rice) was delicious. Above all, drinks were all-you-can-drink from check-in until 11:00 p.m.—dinner started just 30 minutes after welcome drinks ended—and after that we went to the bar. Since you can take drinks back to your Room as well, we relaxed and drank plenty. The welcome oden and steamed meat buns were also delicious. We also enjoyed midnight udon as a late-night snack—overall we fully made use of everything. The staff members were foreigners as well, but everyone worked very hard and they were wonderful. We would definitely like to return again. Thank you very much.

We stayed as three generations—parents and adult children. The sunset from the Room was truly beautiful, and we enjoyed the contrast between the sea and the setting sun. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were generous—we left completely full. Breakfast also featured many local specialties with a wide variety, so we ended up eating too much in the morning. The Room was kept clean and well maintained, and we never felt uncomfortable. The bath also offered a panoramic view of the sea, and we enjoyed it many times. One small downside—if I had to mention something—was that one of the locker doors in the changing room wouldn’t stay open (it wouldn’t hold in place when opened and would close on its own). Everyone at the front desk and in the restaurant was very kind, allowing us to spend our trip comfortably. It’s a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again if we have the chance. I planned to eat dinner out, but there wasn’t much nearby, so I chose the dinner buffet instead. Each table has a smokeless grill, so you can cook and enjoy seafood like scallops and shrimp as well as meat right at your table. Alcohol is also all-you-can-drink, which makes it a great value. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, and you can also request made-to-order items such as the Furano Burger and omelets. The Furano Burger was delicious, and I was very satisfied. There are several lounge areas as well, which is convenient. If you’re staying in Furano, I highly recommend this place.

All staff were very kind. We had a great time. The view from our third-floor Room was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

Whenever I’m worn out from work and need to unwind, I always come here. This time again, I got a little too eager and arrived early, but they told me the Room was ready, so it was fine, and they let me check in early. Upgrading the meal plan this time was the right choice. Everything was delicious. I felt refreshed and regained my energy. I’ll visit again when I’m tired.

All the Accommodation staff were very polite and kind. The Onsen water felt silky and moisturizing, and the bath area was clean and well stocked with amenities, making it very comfortable. I found an Accommodation in Asamushi Onsen that I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Choose a Hotel near the cable car entrance to the Alpine Route—it's surprisingly close, so we were able to depart at a relaxed pace.

Stayed here after visiting the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. Check-in is set later than usual accommodations, but as we planned to arrive after sightseeing, we reached around dusk. After a short rest, we enjoyed dinner right away. Each dish had a gentle flavor and was delightful. It seems Shimane is part of the sweet soy sauce culture! The sashimi with subtly sweet soy sauce, grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and soybean milk miso hot pot with Shimane Wagyu were all delicious. The locally grown rice was so tasty that I ended up having multiple servings. As it’s a small accommodation, the bath is also small without features like an open-air bath; however, the bathtub made with rare painted tiles had perfect water temperature and helped me relax for a good night's sleep until morning. The welcome drink in the fridge—a local craft beer—was also enjoyable after bathing. The hostess shared stories about local nature and traditional Kagura performances, making it a truly enriching journey filled with charm.

This was my first stay, and I chose it after checking the website in advance and looking at other sites, but it exceeded my expectations. The Facility was wonderful and the location was perfect! There are no other Accommodations nearby, so it’s a very quiet environment. The beach is just a short walk away, and I had three relaxing days. I would definitely stay again next time! That’s all! The Facility has been renovated and is very well cleaned, with no pet odors or stains. The meals were delicious, and since it was a weekday there were few other guests, so we could relax without worrying. All the staff were kind, and we were touched to receive an illustration of our pet. They even saw us off until we were out of sight when we left, which made us want to come again. Weekdays are recommended! Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Room that was on par with, or even better than, major domestic Hotels. (And yet it was affordable!) The Room I stayed in had a separate toilet and bath, which made it very comfortable. The bed was spacious and clean. The large public bath was also spacious and relaxing. The reason I gave 4 stars for the Facility is that, as is common at many Hotels these days, it was inconvenient that you can’t move between floors by stairs. I understand this may be difficult to allow due to security and safety concerns (and I apologize if this is due to laws or administrative guidance). Having to wait for the elevator just to go one floor—and having to ride with crowds—was a subtle source of stress, so I felt it would be even better if guests could choose to use the stairs when traveling alone.

I stayed in a Room at Hakubaittei. The building is old, and the in-room toilet, sink, and bath felt dated, but everything was well cleaned and felt hygienic. The light switches were unresponsive and had a delay before turning on, which was inconvenient. The Onsen baths offer a wide variety and were very satisfying. There are also many open-air baths. The changing area was clean as well. There are several entrances to the baths, but when using the entrance near the front desk, the cold-water dispenser was only located between the changing area and the bathing area. It would have been nice to have a cold-water dispenser with cups near that entrance or in the changing area. There were dispensers near other entrances. The meals weren’t anything special, but everything tasted good. The service was also good. The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and was delicious, with shabu-shabu, tuna sashimi, and kamameshi even in the morning. I chose this Accommodation for the baths and food, so it was absolutely the right choice! I’d like to stay again.

As soon as we entered, the ocean spread out before us—it was so beautiful and truly moving. The Room also had an ocean view, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. The food was delicious, and the staff were very kind and attentive. Thank you very much.
