We always stay here when traveling with three generations, and we truly appreciate your hospitality. (It also feels nostalgic because my father worked here back in the Kanpo days!) Since the renovation, it has become even more comfortable for children, and we made more wonderful memories again this time. As part of the summer vacation program, our kids were thrilled right after arrival with the cardboard maze and the guests-only soft-serve ice cream and ice pops! At dinner, there were also summer-only treats like chocolate bananas and shaved ice—like a fun festival. They were set up so they couldn’t be seen from our seats at first, so after the kids finished their meal and we told them about it, they happily went to get some. We really like that both breakfast and dinner are served at the table rather than buffet-style, so we can relax and enjoy our meal. The dishes used Yaizu sashimi and rice, and we could feel the care put into the food. And we were absolutely full!!! The Onsen water quality has been great for years, and my mother and daughter were able to relax together. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and had a welcome little visitor (a cicada)! The kids loved it (it was gone by morning). The staff at the front desk and shop were kind and helpful as well—this is a Hotel where we can feel safe and comfortable. If there were a Room that could accommodate six people, that would be perfect; from next time we will need to book two rooms. We would be very happy if there were an option where everyone could stay together. Thank you again for your continued support.

Thank you for taking such great care of us the other day. The Room and meals were excellent in every way. We were especially impressed by the all-crab feast. We were very satisfied with the many delicious dishes, including medium-fatty tuna (chutoro). We look forward to visiting again with our family to enjoy another Premium tour.

The ocean is right in front of you. If the weather had been good, we would have enjoyed the beach, but with a typhoon approaching we couldn’t go outside, which was disappointing. The sound of the waves at night was also quite loud. We chose our dinner time at check-in. Breakfast can be taken at any time during the service hours, but seating seems to be first-come, first-served and it can get crowded depending on the time. There was a wide variety of breakfast dishes, which was great. Please note that the parking spaces and lanes are narrow, so extra care is needed.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and it’s an ideal location for visiting Onsen spots, with easy access to the town center. It’s also close to the Kitahama bus terminal, making bus travel very convenient. The Hotel Onsen has its own natural hot spring source, and since the water temperature is lower than many of the Onsens in town, I personally preferred it. The breakfast venue was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and very satisfying. The front desk staff were extremely kind and pleasant. There are so many restaurants nearby that it’s hard to choose. A Multiple Night Stay is recommended.

This was my second stay. Last time, I really enjoyed the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Butter-Grilled Autumn Salmon & Mushrooms” course, so this time I chose the classic Plan with a kaiseki meal featuring Mihara’s specialty octopus shabu-shabu and lava-grilled domestic beef. Despite the weak yen continuing due to factors such as the Middle East situation and rising prices overall, it seems they are doing their best with little to no price increase; however, that may be why the meal felt noticeably less satisfying, and I felt the portion size would not be enough for younger families raising children. For guests who want to focus on dining, it would be helpful to recommend choosing a course labeled [Cuisine-Focused]. Even so, the pricing still offers excellent value for money. This year, it seems the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Autumn Salmon” course is not being offered, but I hope they will bring it back even if it costs more. This time, we were also able to enjoy fireflies near the Hotel due to the season. The staff are kind, and it’s a great-value Hotel—so I hope they continue offering Plans that let guests fully enjoy delicious food.

This was our first stay with three dogs. The meals and the Onsen were excellent. The Room was very clean and comfortable. Above all, the staff were kind, making this a truly warm and welcoming Accommodation. We will definitely return. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

It was a gift trip from my wife to celebrate my birthday, visiting the Furuyu Onsen I had been curious about for a long time. I was very satisfied with the wonderful service of the staff and the sense of care in cleaning. Enjoyed two days of onsen to the fullest. The head chef seemed confident in fish dishes, and we were completely satisfied with everything from sashimi platters to grilled fish. We had checked reviews beforehand and were prepared for the amount of food, but as a senior couple, we were completely overwhelmed. At checkout, I was deeply moved by a surprise birthday gift from the proprietress. Thank you so much. While everything was satisfying, there are some suggestions: ○ It would be helpful if guides such as facility maps, emergency exit routes, and meal times could be compiled into a file placed in each room. ○ Since it’s easy to forget meal times for dinner and breakfast, it would be nice to receive them written on printed paper. ○ The course meals crafted by your proud head chef are delightful but quite large portions for seniors. If possible, creating a senior-friendly course with about 60% of the current portion size would be appreciated. This time I wanted to enjoy more drinks but couldn’t because I was too full! Apologies for making selfish requests like this!

From check-in onward, the hospitality from all staff—at the Room, dining venue, and throughout the property—was warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed our meals in the Room. They were truly luxurious and very generous in portion size—we were extremely satisfied! We would definitely like to stay again!

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay from 8/14 to 8/16 (3 nights). We had a breakfast-only Plan, and at check-in you told us that there are few restaurants nearby and guests often struggle to find dinner. Following your advice, we quickly made reservations at “Umi no Megumi” and “Iso no Kaori” near the Hotel for the 14th and 16th, and chose the Hotel dinner on the 15th after our Jomon Sugi trek. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy a relaxed dinner after our bath on trekking day, and on the other two days we enjoyed local fish dishes and sushi, as well as local sake and craft beer. Thank you for the helpful advice. We also appreciated the plentiful hot water in the baths, the free massage chairs in the bath lounge, the cold barley tea in both our Room and the bath lounge, the ocean view from our Room, the kind service from your staff, their lovely Kariyushi uniforms, and the well-stocked shop. If I had to mention anything, an ice machine area would be nice to have. Also, since there was only one Room key, having two would be more convenient. The cold barley tea was rich and very delicious—I had several cups (it tasted like it was brewed). Thank you very much.

The French dinner was very stylish, and the taste was a perfect 10. Breakfast was completely different—Japanese cuisine. The overnight-dried blackthroat seaperch in particular was unbelievably delicious and truly moving. For our family, who all love alcohol, the all-inclusive plan was fantastic. We were happy to be able to enjoy drinks whenever we wanted. This Accommodation doesn’t have an Onsen, but you can receive free tickets for a nearby Onsen. However, since it was summer, going outside to the Onsen left us drenched in sweat. This time, the bath in our Room might have been enough. The Facility was very clean, and the staff were wonderful—an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again!

I was completely satisfied with my stay and truly felt, “I definitely want to stay here again.” First of all, all the staff were incredibly kind, and I was able to spend my time comfortably from arrival to departure. The Room was meticulously maintained and exceptionally clean. The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was a luxurious experience—I could enjoy the Onsen as much as I wanted, whenever I wanted. What stood out most was the outstanding cuisine. It featured an abundance of local ingredients, with such a wide variety that it couldn’t possibly all fit on the menu—and every dish was remarkably delicious. I could really feel the chef’s dedication and care. It was also very helpful that there were EV charging facilities. Being able to charge during my stay gave me peace of mind for the drive the next day. I’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at several Accommodations in Kamisuwa Onsen before, but this Accommodation was the best. The breathtaking view from the Room and the spacious, open bath were outstanding. Dinner was served in a private room with a great atmosphere, and every dish was carefully prepared and delicious—you could really feel the chef’s thoughtfulness. The staff were also very courteous, and I had a wonderful time throughout my stay.

• Guest Rooms The Room wasn’t new, but it was very clean and comfortable. • Service The staff who assisted us during meals were pleasant—polished yet friendly. • Onsen The open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji was amazing! The in-room bath was also very comfortable. • Facility The relaxation room on the first floor was dark and a bit scary. Otherwise, no issues. • Meals Truly delicious. Even my partner, who is picky about food, was very satisfied. The portions were just right. I’d happily return just for the meals.

A last-minute trip to Izu came up, and we stayed for two nights. We were extremely satisfied with the hospitality that far exceeded our expectations, the well-trained staff, the clean Room, and the delicious meals. Since we stayed in a Room with an open-air Onsen bath, we did not use the public bath, but everything was well maintained and it was a very satisfying trip. We will visit again.

Both the building and the garden are beautifully maintained—truly an Accommodation worthy of its status as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. At Tenpyo-no-Yu, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen while watching the carp. The cuisine may be creative, but in a way it felt fairly ordinary; despite the excellent wasabi served alongside, I didn’t feel the menu was designed to pair well with it. Perhaps because it had to be carried a long distance, some hot dishes arrived cooled, and there were so many items that we ended up leaving some, which was a bit disappointing. I thought it might be nice to have an upgraded course with smaller portions. There are many stairs, so it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility.

As expected of Dormy Inn, the services are excellent for the price. However, if you plan to have dinner out, we recommend making a Reservation at nearby restaurants. There are only a few options, and the good ones fill up quickly—though they can be a bit pricey.

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler. The Hotel and my Room were very clean, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen and large public bath comfortably. Although it was all-inclusive, I chose to add a luxurious dinner and breakfast on both nights, and I was truly impressed that the menus were changed each day. The locally sourced ingredients were delicious, and in particular the olive-fed beef was tender and easy to eat even when well done. Even as a solo guest, the staff treated me warmly. The restaurant staff especially spoke with me with genuine smiles, creating a relaxed atmosphere that left me with wonderful memories of my trip. Thank you very much. The lounge I used after dinner was also very spacious with a great ambiance, and I was surprised by the wide variety of drinks available. They even served udon as a late-night snack, which really gave me a taste of Kagawa. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s warm hospitality. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again when I visit Kagawa.

On our first trip to Aomori, we stayed the night before the Nebuta Festival for the first time, and everything—the meals, drinks, service, and Onsen—was excellent. Our three-generation family was very satisfied when we left. If I had to ask for one thing, a massage chair would make it even better. We were completely satisfied and truly enjoyed Aomori. We stayed here for my wife’s slightly belated birthday trip. I last visited Iwakuni when I was around 10 years old, but this was my first time staying overnight. Dinner was the Chef’s Special / Gourmet Kaiseki, and everything was delicious. The sashimi in particular was outstanding—I could really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. We travel about 20 nights a year, and this was the best sashimi we’ve had. Our Room was a 20-tatami Japanese-style room with a view of Kintaikyo Bridge. Since we go to bed at different times, it was very convenient for us and we were satisfied overall. One concern was that the bathroom area (toilet and washbasin) felt quite outdated, so it wasn’t as comfortable to use. If it were renovated to the same standard as the restroom near the dining area on the 2nd floor, it would have been an even better stay. Thank you very much for preparing a birthday gift for my wife, and also for sending my wallet back to our home after I mistakenly left it in the valuables box. We truly enjoyed Iwakuni again after more than 50 years. Lastly, several young men who assisted us at dinner were wearing “In Training” badges. Their explanations of each dish were sometimes hesitant, but seeing how hard they worked felt refreshing. A word from someone older: “Keep it up, rookies!”

Shiosai-tei features a luxurious large Onsen bath that makes the most of its prime seaside location, allowing me to relax to the fullest both physically and mentally. The meals were all excellent—fresh crab and locally sourced seafood in particular—and I was very satisfied. The staff were also consistently pleasant and welcoming. I would like to make time to visit again.
